If they are going to call the KR808D-1 a standard spec, make them to spec!!!

The wonderful thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from...

I just figured out why my first one wouldn't charge, as well as this one. It's because I'm the Type A person who does everything REALLY. THOROUGHLY. Which means I was too aggressive when screwing on my manual batt, so it depressed the center post. DUH! So try to pull it up with a paper clip (be gentle), maybe that will help you!

Had my first battery 'failure'. I think I bought it a few months ago. I noticed that I was getting diminished vapor from it. Figured it was the carto, so I switched it out. Got the same result. Moved the cartos to a different battery, and the vapor production returned. So I guess the battery still works, I just get far reduced vapor from it. It is fully charged. It is not over/under filled. Seems odd, as this issue is normally a carto/atomizer issue.

Any thoughts on why or how to fix? It is not a big deal to me, I will just get another battery, but I HATE to throw e-cig parts away.

seems there might be some air-flow issues... a good cleaning with a tooth pick might help...

Mine were doing that and I cleaned the battery threads with a cottonball and rubbing alcohol then I took a needle and cleaned the air holes on the sides of the battery threads. i also dipped a toothpick in the rubbing alcohol and cleaned the ring inside the battery threads (be careful if you have an auto to not get it in the center hole or you could ruin your battery).

They are working great today!

Well one guy I work with ordered a kit from SI. Another got batteries, then I let him try an RY4 carto (yes I gave one up:() and he really liked it. I think he will order more when he runs out of the other flavors I had given him in the past!!!

Just had another employee email me about a subcontractor that works for us wanting to switch - so I just sent them the link as well!!

Can any one direct me where to find info on volts batt/cart technology compared to the old style kr808d-1's

when to a local vendor and wanted to pass on the improvements that volt has implemented.
(trying to talk him into caring them!)
What do you think, Imagine? Maybe time for another FAQ page ("Why Volts are better")?

So, what do we already know?
Batts:
  • Regulated at +/- 3.6V for more consistency - others start off (if you're lucky) at 4.2V then gradually drop off to +/- 3V.
  • Higher mah: 320mah (78 mm) vs. 280mah, for longer life.
  • No hole on manual battery post protects internals from liquid spills (others are just flimsily sealed with silicone).
.
Cartos:
  • Horizontal coil
  • Less burning, because coil doesn't have contact with filler (is this true?)
  • 2mm longer, to hold more liquid (it really is longer, but is this true?)
Warranty:
  • 3 months from date of purchase (?)

Thanks for the suggestions on my failing battery, I'll try that tomorrow and let you know.

The Volt's really don't burn like normal cartos. I actually TRIED to get one to burn, it took some effort, and didn't burn until a few drags after being completely dry. I really don't see how you could burn these, as long as any amount of liquid is in them.

And actually, the rubberized finish was a selling point for me:) Love it.
