that would be 2000 mah...and that would charge a 65mm about 7 times
Personally I'd go for the largest increase, 3000mah. But really I would just like to be able to fully charge two to three 78mm batteries per pcc battery. Whatever size that works out to....

Yep - That's what I'm waiting for - nearly salivating for that green battery. There is a massive gap in my Volt collection.

Yeah, I feel pretty bad for you what with that horrible gap and all ;)

Really, fantastic set up Rave!!! About had to pick up my jaw there

Not to get off-topic, but i'm feeling Ripped off by the EARTH! I live north central PA and lots of people felt it at my college, but I didn't feel anything!!! Jerk Earth...Lol

I guess I was just too happy vaping here on my end. And blowing up enemy tanks in a video game, now that I think about it...thats why it felt so real...hahaha j/k

Oh and i'm using a drip tip with my Volt and i'm enjoying the vapor amount much more than with the rubber end (kinda restricts the full effect IMHO). I'm LOVING all flavors from the Sweet Sampler package :)

to keep the size inline with the current slider...this design will only charge one at a time, but it will charge them fast about 2 hours for the 65mm and about 3 for the 78mm

Would love to have one that charges multiple batteries at the same time :)

Ok guys onto another topic.

We are closing in on the design for the new SI PCC.

We are going to increase the mah on the battery, but this will increase the depth of the PCC.

Compared to the current slider PCC depth.

1500 mah adds 2mm
2000 mah adds 5mm
2500 mah adds 7mm
3000 mah adds 9mm

The current depth is about 13mm.

thoughts? feedback? is the 9mm increase in depth worth the extra mah? or keep it slimmer and go with double the current mah at 2000mah?

Do you have any part numbers for those batteries so we could look them up and find their specifications? Are these going to be the user replaceable kind? Finally, what's the difference in the final retail price depending on which battery is chosen?

Guess we should also keep in mind that the more mAh the charger's battery is, the longer it's going to take for the pcc to recharge.

they will be the same kind of battery that the slider uses now (like the cell phone batteries)...they will be 5v. and replaceable.

Yes the more mah, the longer the case will take to charge.

The increase in mah may affect the retail price but not more of a swing of about $5-10 from 2000-3000mah...

FYI, this is something that just happened to me:
If the carto feels really hot on the lips or you feel little tiny electric shocks, take the carto off and wipe down the battery post and the carto post. No matter how perfectly you think you've refilled it, sometimes a drip works its way down there during use. I don't think that connection likes being wet! :)

I'm so glad you answered this, SteelJan. I haven't a clue, but my first thought was: "SteelJan would know."

I might buy another PCC if it would hold more cartos than my slider. Otherwise, I really like the slider, though I only tried it with the 65mm batts. I'd like one that would hold a 65 or 78mm like the slider, with carto, and charge another one, plus space for at least one spare carto, too. I'm not sure about charging time, but I'd definitely like the spare batt to charge fully faster than the one that's in use gives out. That's my very nontechnical feedback.

Makes sense. All of my usb/wall chargers are acting wonky, so my mega pcc has been my main charging unit. After SteelJan's review on it, I know I need to get back into charging my batts with regular chargers....I just haven't been able to bring myself to buy any - not as much fun as ordering batteries & cartos

i would preffer 2000 mah or at the most 2500.. pocket size is key (at least to me)

Thank you
exactly what i was looking for,

very helpful!

Batts:
  • VOLT- Regulated at +/- 3.6V for more consistency - generic's start off (if you're lucky) at 4.2V then gradually drop off to +/- 3V.
  • VOLT - Higher mah: 320mah (78 mm) vs. generic 280mah, for longer life. 220mah (65mm) vs. generic.
  • VOLT - No hole on manual battery post protects internals from liquid spills ( generics are just flimsily sealed with silicone).
  • VOLT- Rubberized Finish (aesthetic only but a nice feature liked by many)
.
Cartos:
  • VOLT - Horizontal coil covered with press fit silica burn resistant fiber
  • VOLT- Less burning, because coil doesn't have contact with filler
  • VOLT- holds 1ml of e-liquid
Warranty:
  • VOLT - 3 months from date of purchase

I say go for either 2000mAh with a total depth of 18mm or 2500 for 20mm. At 18mm it would be the same depth as the relatively popular 808-style clam shell PCC that's out there which has been pretty comfortable.

Whatever you do, just make sure the charging circuit makes good use of that battery!

Twilight Zone
Lots of different ways to dry them. I don't clean them that often but I used to use a food dehydrator. In the oven overnight with just the light on seems to work almost as well. I've done that while making yogurt at the same time and no, the cartos didn't taste like yogurt lol.

So can cartomizers really be baked in the oven to dry them? Mine tend to have a little bit of rust coloring when I let them air dry

yes actually discussing that now...good question for you and steeljan....what do you think the correct output current should be? it is currently under 200mah at 5v...trying to get the exact number now.
