Thanks for the info on charging - May I request a bit of feedback to help me decide which of the PCCs you prefer?

Smokeless Image | Only The Best Electronic Cigarette | Accessories

Both the Mega and the Slider are appealing but your input would be appreciated.

Thank you!
I'd go with the slider. The mega charger is being re-engineered. (SteelJan is probably cringing because I used "engineer" as a verb - lol). The slider is terrific! Back when I bought mine, you could only charge the short batteries on it, but now it will handle both. It's about the size of an modern phone and downright sexy lookin'. Just my 2 cents.

You've been around for awhile (I noticed you're an ECF Veteran too) - So just out of curiosity, what was your PV of choice before?

Thanks rave! Hope I'm not violating ECF protocol by mentioning another vendor but I must to respond to your question - I started originally last year with 808d-1 (short) from SmokeTip ... then I ventured into the eGo and Riva types -- but I find that I still prefer automatic cigarette like PVs ... my most recent standard was from Vapor4Life.

I found steeljan's video review on the PCCs which was also very helpful.

Thanks again for all your help!

Welcome proudlion!
I'll second Rave's recommendation, the slider is the way to go. But if you can hold out a little longer there should be a new PCC on the way. Last update sounded like 6-8 weeks.... correct me if I'm wrong Imagine.

hmm good point :p

I will just say functionally it will be the most advanced PCC on the market in everyway size/storage/battery life.

it will be virtually the same size as the slider.

Working on the styling now :p

You don't have to post pics but you could give us your opinion and feedback ;)

The flavor will fade and you don't get as much vapor. If you keep going it will start tasting a little burned. Time to change or refill it when it is fading. I get about 4 hours of vaping time off of one.

Thanks. That's about what I figured. At that stage, how many drops should it take to refill it?

I haven't mastered that art yet even after all this time. I'll do anywhere from 15-22 drops, 10 first and let it soak in for a minute, then the rest until it looks damp on top but not puddling. If it gurgles, it was too much :)

The Volt was my 3'rd kit, I got 1 long and 1 short battery and the 555 carto's (my new favorite!!!) I LOVE my volt and I get just as much vapor out of short as I do the long battery. I just ordered more 555 liquid and carto's! I don't have the pvc, I would love to try one eventually but gotta catch up on funds spent on all these kits and different juices and carto's I bought experimenting! LOL I am kicking myself now that I didn't find the Volt first!! i could of saved myself A LOT of money!! Keep the good stuff coming!! :vapor:

Speaking of chemicals, can you please advise as to the nature of the adhesive that secures the bottom of the center tube to the bottom of the carto tubing that covers the wick?

This is not particular to the Volt but to all cartos of this construction so I don't wish to make it seem like I'm singling out Volt. This adhesive is not used in any other type of carto but these are constructed differently. Past horizontal cartos had the wick centered and the cover likely did not need to be secured. These are on the very bottom.

Thank you for any insight you can offer Imagine.

Yes, yes... I'm curious too. I just took apart my first cart a week ago and found some blackened calking-like glue at the base where the coil was fastened to the bottom. Today I pulled the filling out of another cart to see if I could drip... Just outta curiosity (I prefer not to). After a few puffs off one drop of juice, I got a really nasty chemical taste and said... "Okay... That can't be a good thing... I'm not doing that again." Not upset about my volt at all... Just curious as to how it works and was put together.
BTW... I have a post somewhere on here asking about the same thing, with pictures of my experiment.

Edit: Jumped the gun again... Thank you Imagine for the honest info.

I too have kicked myself. There... I did it again. This Volt is too cool. It's only my second PV, but still... My other one was money down the drain. I only recently found out that e-cigs even existed too. Maybe that's why so many people still smoke.
