welcome back ! ;)

Hello, Everybody!

I've returned back to the land of the living. Finally feeling up to more than sitting around and vegging.

To all the Texas members: I hope you guys get some rain soon. I have family in central TX, and they've been miserable this summer with the 105+ heat.

Eyebedam: I hope your daughter is feeling better and getting used to her cast.

Rave: Hope you enjoy your camping trip! :)

They never take that long -- what does your tracking info say? Is that the one that got sent to Outer Mongolia first?

Oh, no, it was a joke reply to cbborwn who had jokingly claimed today was Friday. :D

That said, I did have my last order take a beyond strange 3-day roadtrip through the streets of Washington State; so 5 days in transit wouldnt be the record for one of my orders to be received :(

I also recently had a package go from NY to NJ to a (semi-local) Cali hub who then, oddly, sent it on a sightseeing trip to MA, who sent it to PA, before it was delivered back to the same (semi-local) Cali location, where they apparently decided it probably needed a rest after its long US tour and sat on it for 7 days(!) before releasing it to my post office. All in all, 27 days of transit off an "expected delivery date" implying it would take 5.

USPS - seriously, why the :censored: cant you follow a straight line???

Yes deb, I'm a technogeek myself. I swore I'd never use an e-reader- I love my books....til someone gave me one. I don't leave the house without it. Its a kindle 3, and I can't wait to check out the new family of kindles. The iPhone is exciting, but I have T-Mobile, so that ones a no-go for me. :(

I sat on the fence about getting a Kindle for a long time. Then the Nook came and I decided to buy a Kindle to compare. The Kindle is better, IMO, especially since the K3 came out. It has a permanent place in my purse. As for the iPhone, I'll never use all of its features so can't justify the expense.

I bought my wife one last year. It immediatly did away with stacks of books and cleared some bookshelf space. Plus she can find everything by an author she wants instead of having to hunt some down. I've got it on my PC as well and have access to everything she buys. Came free with the Kindle. I buy a few myself, usually cookbooks, gardening and how to. It was as good a buy for books as a Volt for vaping.
Have a Voltacious day.

I dumped a lot of books myself. I like how you can get the Kindle app for just about any system you have. Haven't tried buying a cookbook yet, but I have several how-to manuals that work just fine on it.

You have a Voltacious day, too! :)

Thanks! I was wondering about that.
I've posted this before but I'll put it here for ya. This is my video review of the SI Volt passthrough. One thing I've learned since doing this video is to unplug my passthrough when I'm not using it so just in case some eliquid gets into the passthrough, it doesn't burn up a cartomizer unattended. Still loving this passthrough.

Where I usually am
I just watched Steeljan's video on how to refill the cartomizers and one thing I am puzzled about. She removed the end plug and then inside was a little gasket...none of mine have this. Was this an error? or do they not have this "gasket" anymore?
Nope.... there not used anymore. They were designed to keep liquid from getting out into your mouth. The new design of the plug that you have now prevents that:)

Sweet!! Glad I gave ya the bug. :)

Made it back up to the house. * puff - all ..... up ..... hill *

Word to the wise: Never carry a wood burl skinned Volt in your cleavage unless you don't mind spending a half hour looking for it in mass leafage after setting up a tent. [duh]

Here's a few shots including the beginings of a doomed beaver dam. They do this every year. *sigh* The creek is waaay down due to our rainfall shortage. It's just a trickle now.

Slabs.jpg

These limestone slabs are 15 - 25 feet long and chock full of fossils including a ton of crinoids. In the spring, they all get rearranged - or are washed downstream!

We have some color now SandySu !! :)

Beautiful! You have more fall color than we do. We have fossils around here, too. There are lots of gorges and waterfalls, too. Isn't it nice to live in a beautiful area?
