Its been a weird year for weather, Drought, Flooding, fires, & tornados seem to be a lot more common this year. On a much lighter note & vibe-- The new iphone is available for preorder this Friday. However I have been rocking a plain 3g now waiting for a iphone5== I'm a little disappointed its only a 4S but Im still gonna jump on the new phone bandwagon.

Now you went and done it Rave. Gave me the bug quick since nights have cooled off here this week. I've got to work the community dinner tonight but tomorrow I'll be pitching mine on the lake on our property. Fresh bream and hash browns for breakfast. We've got a pretty good chance of rain starting tomorrow too. Talk about sleeping weather in a tent.

Okay - I'll buy into it. Friday is the BEST! Since that means that tomorrow is the weekend, I think I'll camp out tonite. My son hooked up a wireless booster, and I'm curious to see how far I can get on the property and still get a signal. I could be posting tonite from my tent ... or not.

Word to the wise: Never carry a wood burl skinned Volt in your cleavage unless you don't mind spending a half hour looking for it in mass leafage after setting up a tent. [duh]

Here's a few shots including the beginings of a doomed beaver dam. They do this every year. *sigh* The creek is waaay down due to our rainfall shortage. It's just a trickle now.

These limestone slabs are 15 - 25 feet long and chock full of fossils including a ton of crinoids. In the spring, they all get rearranged - or are washed downstream!

Looks like it will be awhile before I get back up that way as I FINALLY GOT A JOB only down side is no vacation time until the beginning of next year. It's been a rough 6 mths looking for work but it was great to be able to go visiting more often than usual.

I've been waiting too. I always buy on alternate years because of the 2yr contract, so I got the Original, skipped the 3g, got the 3gs, skipped the 4, so it's my turn for a phone now. It isn't a 5 like everyone expected, but it is still an improvement over what I have now. I'll only be annoyed if the 5 comes out in 3 months. I need to go see what the rumors say about that...

I just checked the status of the order I placed last night & it still says processing.. Will it go out today ya think? Alot of its for a friend of mine whos been smoking 50 years. I let him try all of my unopened cartos from my sampler packs to find something he liked.
I told him I would probably have it by Friday since it mormally takes 2 days to get here.

I've been eyeballing the new Kindles that are supposed to come out next month, particularly the Touch and the Fire. I'm such a gadget geek, especially when it comes to anything Apple or Kindle. Does anyone here use Kindles or e-readers?

Blended the cherry into my vanilla carto yesterday with excellent results. The vanilla gives the cherry a mellower taste.

Im glad you are feeling better. She isnt in a cast yet, shes in a hard splint for atleast the next 4 weeks then they plan on taking the pins out. After that she goes to a hard cast till the 2nd week of December. She is hating not being able to do much, Im lucky to have very very very active kids, however its taking her time to get used to being stuck in sitting mode. She has an appointment tomorrow for a check-up.

Yes deb, I'm a technogeek myself. I swore I'd never use an e-reader- I love my books....til someone gave me one. I don't leave the house without it. Its a kindle 3, and I can't wait to check out the new family of kindles. The iPhone is exciting, but I have T-Mobile, so that ones a no-go for me.

I bought my wife one last year. It immediatly did away with stacks of books and cleared some bookshelf space. Plus she can find everything by an author she wants instead of having to hunt some down. I've got it on my PC as well and have access to everything she buys. Came free with the Kindle. I buy a few myself, usually cookbooks, gardening and how to. It was as good a buy for books as a Volt for vaping.

Wow, I'm on a cleaned carto now that's BETTER than new (only one so far)!
...if I can only remember how I cleaned it. Damn these experiments!
