Hear ya there - malty toffee is the only vape that seems to keep my spouse off cigs and it burns in Volt cartos something awful....makes it an expensive vape!

From my (granted, limited) experience trying everything I can to vape my BWB on the go, I've found that it doesn't seem to be the Volt Cartos as much as the Pure Awesomeness of the Volt Battery it struggles with. It works okay (not quite the flavor, but doesn't clog) in a volt Carto on the cheapest, most generic 808 battery you can find, just the cheapie generic isn't the nicest thing to vape on all the time either. (Haven't tried the reverse as I don't have any non-Volt cartos; but from reading different threads on the topic, it really seems to boil down to any cartos on the high-end batteries more then the actual cartos themselves imo)

Sadly, disappointed with my BWB order because of this and although the Pear is to die for, I'm unlikely to reorder after I eventually vape through the bottles I currently have. Luckily my flavors are available from other vendors to try - so sucks with your Wife really needing one of their flavors :(

But all that does actually lead to the question - what high-quality juices do you all use/recommend that work great with the high-quality Volts? (other then SIs juice, of course)

I have also tried Pink Spot, and they work great with good flavor, just think the taste is a tiny bit perfume-ie to me personally, at least. Would like to try others to find some of the many sweet/candy-like flavors, just a bit apprehensive of ordering too much that may or may not work great on my Volt after my BWB order.

I wouldn't mind giving it a shot Jill. I'm sure at least some may be salvagable and could possibly rejuvinate well. If so I could either mail them back to you or pass them along to someone who could use some free cartos themselves or knows someone who could. I've got a few non toxic ideas about cleaning them.

Darkstar- as far as non-SI juice, I use rockstar vapor with an 80/20 PG/VG ratio. Their fruit flavors are some of the best Ive had, and their pricing is great. 5 15ml bottles for $25. Mix and match. I never much cared for vaporrenu, though I found out they are sister companies. I reccomend their peach, bubblemelon, and apple cinnamon.

I have switched to vaping KBV exclusively and have no plans to change. Total satisfaction! Volt + KBV = sweet spot :p

Imagine, these new batts are something else. Just got my SI order with the new sealed auto batt! It's great! A bonus, it's just a smidgeon shorter than the other 65mm's I have. Can't wait for the colors.

I got some juice too....chocolate, cherry and mint. Immediately refilled my sample chocolate carto and put it on the new batt. Then I put a few drops of the mint in the battery end of a carto to test it. Tastes like a mint life saver! Really good. But I didn't stop there, I added a few drops of chocolate to it and now it tastes like a mint patty! Debating whether to throw some cherry in there too.

Other than Smokeless Image's flavors, I almost always DIY my own. I sent you a PM with my recipe for pear, which is my Number 1 favorite. Good luck!

Ok, so I'm not really into cleaning in general, it may have something to do with the fact that I have spent 25 getting dressed up every day to scrub someone else's mess out of a public toilet (retail is really glamorous if you didn't know), so a s a result I now have about a hundred and fifty used Volt cartos all over my house, in my handbag, in the garage, mixed into my makeup - they're everywhere! I cleaned a batch of them via boiling first, didn't like how they came out, cleaned another batch with hot water and turkey baster and they worked great but got mixed in with the others, and the rest I just haven't bothered to clean.

Now, usually when I quit using a carto for a new one it's because the draw got tight and the carto gets really hot - I am to understand that this is because a crudnugget has built up on the coil, yes? And I believe Cindycated has been doing several experiments in dislodging crudnuggets but nothing really worked, unless I missed something.

So my question is this: Should I just simplify my life, round up all these cartos and throw them away? If there's no way to get the crudnug off the coil, they are toast, aren't they? I'm just trying to figure out where to draw the line here without feeling wasteful.
Don't throw them away, send them to me!

Any cleaning method that you use will be somewhat effective; just don't expect them to last more than a month or so. But if they're not worth the time and you feel you've gotten your money's worth (or get reimbursed for your stuff anyway - ahem), then screw it. Send them to your poor, unemployed pal Cindy.
With the crudnuggets, I'm finding so far that:
  • Hot water alone doesn't do very much. You really have to soak them in something (that "something" is what I'm trying to find) for quite awhile. I have a lidded jar next to the sink with vodka right now (to be replaced by the "something" that works) that I toss spent cartos into. By the time I get around to cleaning, they will have soaked for 2-5 days (the longer the better).
  • Baking soda and vinegar, though it looks really cool, doesn't work. These two neutralize each other, and after the volcano eruption, you're left with an inert mess that doesn't do anything. Here are some things that I've had some success with: vinegar (alone), baking soda and water, vodka and PG (vodka alone did very little). Dawn worked great, but was a ....h to rinse out, when I tried it on an actual carto. I was testing these with coils that had popped out, so I could actually see how small the BBs got. Can get the bundled fibers clean, but not the really burned-in crud where the wire wraps around it.
I'll share more details when I figure it out. Still playing with it, sorta. Got one really good one, but have to see if I can get it that good again before I can post more.

sounds like a yummy day !!! :)

I am sure some others would love to hear some feedback on the batt after you use it a bit :p

NOT very peaceful today!! Have ya ever seen the movie Castaway with Tom Hanks? He's lying on the beach and keeps hearing these loud thuds all around him. It's driving him crazy cuz he doesn't realize what is causing it - and yells out "What is that?!" I've got the same thing going on all around me with black walnuts. Those suckers can be LOUD!

I do make my own nicquid at home..or should I say I use to..HA!, now I just have a big tackel box filled with DIY that just sits:facepalm:

With cartomizers,... ether all pg or better 20vg 80pg works best for them IMO.. To much vg = muted flavor, and worse..a burning taste after just a couple fills. It gunks up to quick for me. I have made 80vg 20pg juices that taste great but I hate the frequent cleanings cause now days I have become very lazzy:laugh:
OH crap! the time:blink: gotta take the kid to work........back soon

heheh, I did that clever thing of replying to posts in a new tab. And then in the midst of several interruptions, I closed it instead of replying.

SandySu, I feel much better now seeing Penny with a friend. They both looked very contented - thanks for posting the pic. :)

Rave, I'm trying to get my hubby to throw me out of the house so I can cry on your shoulder that I have no place to go.:lol: I know with most wonderous things there's a downside somewhere but, don't tell me. It looks so....picture perfect!

An IPhone what? Is that one of those annoying devices that demands attention all the time?!

Hello to all *waving* I'm off to catch up.

Those black walnuts are good tasting though, once you manage to get the shell cracked. I lived on a 25 acre farm for six years and we had a lot of walnut trees. You just never park under them this time of year and for sure don't want to stand under them.
