It's been over 24 hours and I'll just say that I'm very happy!
I posted on another thread that I was looking for a reliable, satisfying auto battery, and that's exactly what I got from SI. Everything seems to be working fine! I'm an experienced vapor but have yet to get 100% off of analogs, but I'm truly making an effort with my volt!
Thanks Guys!
Count yourself lucky I spent $$$ to find SI <3
Awesome ppl and product. Stayed away for the stick batts at the start now I wish I hadn't.
I was having a hard time too, a lot of my friend still smoke. And questioned me for the fat egos I never let go of.
The the volt helps the "have a cig in my hand need" so silky so smooth and not odd to hangout with.
Welcome abroad...

Totally irrelevant, but the other day, at my job, I had to pop about 10 lbs of popcorn! It was sort of fun -- in a big machine that pops a lot at once, with prepackaged stuff, where I had to add some butter-like substance first, then the kernels, and then when I heard no more pops, tip the thing and let it fall into the large, wheeled container. Over and over again. This was for an event at the Livestock Pavilion at Cornell Univ. They had a hoedown party for some scholarship winners, and we had to wear straw cowboy hats, they did suare dancing, and they gave bandanas to everyone. It was fun!

Wow: :?: I read this after talking to my cousin who's son is a freshman scholarship recipient at Cornell. Talk about "six degrees of separation"... At least I can give my cousin some assurance about what kind of partying his son is doing. :p

one of my favorite movies!
Okay, how can you mention Tarantino and not mention his best movie; True Romance!

I mean sure, he merely wrote the screenplay and Tony Scott technically directed it; but!!!

The Walken/Hopper ("eggplant/cantaloupe") scene alone is the single best thing he has ever done in my opinion... And talk about a cast - Slater, Arquette, Oldman, Kilmer, Sizemore, Penn, Gandolfini - its even got Balci! Unbelievable cast for a fantastic movie.

Plus, Brad Pitt as "Floyd" just cant be beat.

What really comes to mind when thinking about "Darkstar":

SICK - Demented - CRAZY - Deviant - LOCO - Mushuga - UNHINGED - Disturbed - NON COMPOS MENTIS - Schizoid - SMART-ALECK - Oddball . . .

Witty - FUN - Good to have around - SMART - Intelligent - CLEVER - Forthright - PLAINSPOKEN - Candid - REAL - Innocent - THOUGHTFUL - Impish . . .

In other words . . .
(either of these pictures work)

WOW, I personally think that looks JUST like me!!! I mean, other then the fact he is a tad hornier, of course.

...well, okay fine... but that's different! :glare:

I'm sorry to hear about that, Adrena. :( My mother and sister get those, and they're really incapacitating. Hope you feel better soon.

Apocalypse Now is a great movie very powerful, but I never would have thought of it in the context of Halloween. Do you know when I first saw that movie, I thought instantly of a Joseph Conrad book, but not the one it was patterned after? Instead, I had just read The Secret Sharer, and I thought of that. Interesting that they brought the writer's style through enough that I could recognize it, even if I got the wrong book!

That is fantastic! One of those interesting statements I likely wont soon forget.

Anayway, am I nuts for making such a context leap on it? I mean, maybe I've just seen it way too many times now. But I see it more for its allusionary meanings at this point, and it becomes about the closest thing I have seen to The Comedy on film. To me at least...

I just thought of another creepy movie: Blue Velvet.

Good call!

ugh, I'm soooo sorry to hear that - i get just a few a year if I forget and eat chocolate - it's so horrible. On the bright side (there is one) you can look forward to the ecstasy and euphoria of finally not having it anymore! Wishing it gone for you!

Begone, Adrena's Migraine!!!!

Gosh, I think I was only mia for a day and a half and it's taken me a long time to catch up to you guys.

I'm too wimpy for blood, gore and violence. Even Silence of the Lambs was too much for me. I did like 6th Sense. One that hasn't been mentioned is The Others. Slow but loved how it turned out. I remember The Bad Seed from 1956 scared the beejeesus out of me as a kid. Won't watch it again. lol

I have a question, though. There was a movie I saw as a kid that I thought was pretty scary and I can't remember the name. No one I've mentioned it to knows what I'm talking about. I only remember a few of the particulars:

The little boy in it reminds me of Timmy from Lassie. A space ship has landed (unbeknownst to anyone) and is buried under sand. People go missing. Apparently if someone steps in the sand over their porthole, they fall into the space ship for experimentation purposes. Does anyone else remember this? From the 1950s I think. I have been trying for years to recall - would like to see again to determine if it's really scary or if I've just always been wimpy. lol
