Good morning, all! waving smiley-1.gif

Great Halloween pictures! Love seeing people, especially the kiddies, all decked out. I fall into the group that never gets trick-or-treaters so, thank you for sharing! :)

I want to thank those that recommended the Halloween movies, that's what hubby and I did that night. Laughed all the way through Invaders from Mars. My husband still can't believe that put me off scary movies. It was the sand! lol

Rave, I'm convinced you have a woodland ghost. I've seen him twice now in your pictures! I bet you don't have any problem with your car unless he wants to get your attention and play. I'm kinda envious.

I guess it's time to update my avatar. :(

I've been looking into vaping without the 'filling' in the volt cartomizers because I tend to get the burned taste often. Some people suggested numerous things (the most interesting being things that looked like cartomizer tanks).

Is there a definitive list of 'mods' that work with the Volt? I don't want to fiddle too much. I just want to use a tank style cartomizer (or clearomizer?). Even after all the info I've received, I am still very confused.

I just bought the 808 tank from Vaporescence.com for my Volt. Looks like the tank will beat the volt to the mailbox.

IMO i get the burnt taste on any atty when it is out of juice .... I think it is more learned skill... you can just learn to tell before you get that taste and top off.... just my 2 cents... probably not what you wanted to here lol... hope others will chime in on thier experiences as well :)

A full carto always outlasts a charged battery for me. When I change batteries I put a full carto on a fresh battery and when it goes dead start with another and fill em all at night. That gives the juice overnight to fully wick to where it's supposed to be as well. I used to vape the cartos until the first sign of a burnt taste until I got a few burnt tastes that didn't go away when I refilled.

It's odd that you get that taste so often, like Imagine said its only when they get dry that I taste it. Can you give us some more information about how your refilling and what the PG/VG % is? Maybe we can help you trouble shoot.

I sometimes get that burnt taste when I refill a fresh, dry carto. I use the condom method to fill, then I flip it around and let it sit for awhile. But sometimes, at least with fresh dry cartos, gravity alone isn't enough to get the liquid all the way down to where the coil is, so I Taryn spin it and top it off with a couple more drops. One of these days, I'm gonna grow up and not be so afraid of that needle to syringe fill from the bottom up...
Like with Wuzz, full cartos usually outlast batteries for me. So whenever I have to recharge a battery, I refill the carto too. And like Wuzz said, try not to get that burnt taste (or stop when you get there), because it doesn't always go away after washing. Then the carto's toast.

welcome Uma :)

No worries glad to see you here ;)

yes to confirm they do take 510 drip tips.

I'm so excited. Soon I'll be stocking the mailman for my new Volt kit!!! Thank you so much, Imagine, for the fun Halloween contest. The entries were awesome, it was the funnest contest ever. (and I'd be saying that even without a win).

P.S. Sorry I bugged you with so many P.S.'s ... I was pretty darn excited.
P.S.S. <---- looks like I still am lol.

Can't wait to take it to Bingo and hand out your BC's. :)

edit: P.S.S.S ... do the 510 drip tips fit?

yes to this; I just tossed a brand new carto - filled it up, maybe didn't let it sit for a few minutes but slapped it on and vaped - totally burnt from the first drag. Unrecoverable. At first I thought maybe it was my liquid or my taste buds but loaded up another freshie straight from the pack and mmmmmmmm.....yet another filling mistake I finally have under my belt so I won't make it again! I waste less and less liquid every week!:D

edit: I've started putting one tiny drop down the center of the carto after filling now just to make sure.....

I get that sometimes if I vape too much/too fast. I'm topping off, but the juice doesn't have time to "settle" and soak into the batting well. I find that my topped off cartos work at their very best when they can sit for a time - even as short as 15-20 minutes. What you could try is keeping two cartos going - top off the first one, switch to the second and then when it's time to top off the second, switch back. Wouldn't be too much hassle - just top off, screw a new carto on, repeat.
