Thanks to those who posted the info about unchecking the social networks on ECF. While I was at it, I increased the number of posts per page, and clicked to block the avatars. I have an oldie but goody PC and it made things a lot faster for me.

PS .... just got the Volt xl kit Friday and am lovin' it! Placed another order today.

Thanks everybody! Everything's OK now, fixed my boiler...heat is back! Huge sigh of relief Thank god it was an easy fix, had it been anything else I would have had to call in reinforcements.

That's a pretty impressive video Rave! It's amazing how those sweet little creeks can swell up to monsters at certain times of year.

Lax, I just realized where you live. I really really really feel for you. I had to drive thru bozeman several times when we lived in washington state. It was Jan 2006 when we moved out there and we hit a snow storm around Bozeman as we were heading up the mountain. talk about scary.

The blizzards are the fun part It's the super cold and wind I could do without...

Well.... It's official. My wife is has confessed to being a voltie. She gave very strong suggestions on what flavors to order, and perhaps a purple batt would be nice. Guess she finally came out of the closet ....lol

I followed those instruction for disabling the social buttons and it worked. When I came back online though, they were back! I had saved the settings after disabling them and the settings still showed them disabled. Do we have to do that every time we come on the forum, or did I do something wrong? If anyone has an answer, please help!

On another note, (and I'm only posting this because I know damn well it's happened to someone else) I finally dropped my Volt in the toilet. My sealed auto. Lord help me, I grabbed it before I could think about it, tossed the carto and dried off the battery, hosed it down with Lysol, dried it again and stuck in the basket of personal crap on my desk. Lo and behold, this morning I put it on the charger and it seems to be charging! Film at eleven.

Hey Lady - You've been missed! No updates that I know of. We're all still waiting on a slow boat from China. That's hilarious about the toilet mishap. I'da done the same thing myself.

Okay, I logged out and then back in. They're gone!!! Must have just been one of those cyber gremlins.

Try enabling the social buttons, logging out and clearing your cookies, then logging back in, then disabling them again and see if that helps. I tried Rave's suggestion of trying again. This time after I logged out and then back in the social buttons stayed gone.

When I log off of ECF a box pops up saying the cookies have been cleared. Are those the cookies you meant? That did remind me though to clear the cookies from the browser itself, so I did.

I feel for you. had to replace transformer for my furnace yesterday. Its only 23 with the wind chill here so we are in a heat wave to what you have.
