Well, I had some black eyed peas and cornbread to celebrate the first day of the new year! Now am drinking some coffee to wake up for the new year!
DH brought home a bug for Christmas and now I am dealing with that myself. (Thanks for the gift, honey). Trying to enjoy some hot coffee and cherry vape, but everything tastes a little "off" with this sore throat.
Imagine, will there be a big sale on cartos after the 4th (Wednesday)? I will be able to order then.
I want at least ten packs, so a discount would be lovely.

Hmmm i am wondering retriever is the " peas" part of tradition for good luck? Or your choice of food.... Curious every year we are presented with a spoon of beans/lentils to be eaten right on 12.00 to welcome goodluck into the new year..... & coffee yum yum

Uncle - yes everywhere is beautiful!! Also more special on new years eve, the only time fireworks are allowed(under controlled conditions)
My night started out with berry cider, then sis's neighbour brought over the margarita slushie in a bucket. All i could taste was the tequila.... Funny how the glasses were mega huge??
good thin they were slushies, no hangover to deal with the next day. Hope u all recovering all right by now and lilac hope you feel better. When some else makes me sick i get grumpy, if i Get sick all on my own well then i know i earnt it. Hehehe anyway its 40deg here today and thank heavens we have air con. I love this weather but it can be harder on others.

) watching the various doomsday marathons. There is one 'expert' - youngish guy with some wildly coifed hair. Hardly hear a word he says cuz I can't stop looking at his goofy hair-do.

reptilr, Yeah, black-eyed peas and collard greens. The black-eyed peas are for pennies and the collard greens are for dollars, or so I'm told. Either way, it's for good luck. I need some, so I hope they work!
