This is the first that I've been able to go anywhere without a giant mastiff face in my face. I was able to sneak off while Lexi is snoozing in the bedroom. I wasn't able to get the doggie that I showed in my original pics. Evidently his foster mom freaked when she realized she might lose him and decided to adopt him herself! However - the rescue shelter that I've been working with had an underweight little 2 1/2 year old who's been shuffled around from home to home. Dave and I braved the Indiana road system during the snow yesterday (which is reaaallly brave! The Hoosier State doesn't usually have a lot of funding for snow removal or plowing). It took us about six hours to get to her, meet her, fall in love with her, get supplies for her, and get her home. Without further ado - This is Lexi and my son Dave:
Sorry for the blurry pics. She didn't want to hold still!! So far, she's an absolute angel, and just wants to please. She does have separation anxiety though, and won't even let me go to the john alone. Scared the heck outta me when she tried jumping up on the bed to join me in the middle of the night. But when I asked her to get down, she did reluctantly. She just seems soooo sweet.
Hopefully, I'll be around more now, and be able to field some of the questions from newcomers. Welcome New Volties!!
