Rave, your big girl is just lovely. Brought tears to my eyes. We've always adopted all our critters. Our giant breed of choice was Great Danes. We lost our last one early last year and we are now canine-less. It's a strange feeling. I haven't been without a dog in my life since I was 12. Thank goodness for the kitties and parrots. ;)

I have never had an issue when i have traveled and I even got random selection through customs in the Dominican Republic recently and I said cigarellos es electronico lol and they new what they were....and I had 4 bottles of 30mls of juice too :) this was my checked bag mind you.

That's not to say that there is no way there will be an issue...but they have usually at least seen the before.

Thanks Imagine. Hopefully I won't have any problems either.

a bit off topic - but I'm about to explode!!!!

Just got off the order!!!

My best friend asked me to place a SmokelessImage order for a starter kit! We've been friends since high school and smoking had definitely become a shared ritual over our years. Imagine my delight!

Rave - does Lexi vape?

Nice dog Rave (but you can keep the dog, I'll take your son :2cool:)

I wonder if Lexi could be trained as sort of a service dog for you - help pick things up, fetch, etc. Take her for walks to the neighbors so she knows where they live in case help is needed. (what's that girl? Timmy fell down the well?)

Of course - The MAILBOX!!! ;-)

Rave . . .

First Things First . . . WOW ! ! ! Cute ! ! !

NOW - Bring that little puppy over here, I need to give them a . . .
smiley_bighug.gif

(No - I Did Not Mean Dave . . .;) Although, He Is Puppy and Just as Cute Too . . . He is without a doubt TOO Young for "Me" and Because of that "Not My Type" - Sorry, Dave ;) )

Okay - in all seriousness - "Lexi" ? ? ? How did you decide on that name or was she a "Lexi" already when She and You Adopted Each Other ? ? ?

OH And BTW: With what little you have told us about her already - I can tell that She is going to be as "dependant" on You and follow Your every move as You are going to be with Her . . . Now that is going to be something

I even bet You - that once You get "Lexi" into the "habit" of going to the mailbox with YOU . . . She will probably want to take over and go meet the "postal worker" to get your mail/packages for you . . . ;) SO - You will propably have to get or make "Lexi" a nice "purse" to carry around when You Both Go Out together :D

Just Remember - We Gotta' To Have PICTURES :D

EDIT: Okay - so I am typing away - checking spellings and going Back & Forth off site to add a couple of "Smileys" . . . I finally post, go back to read "stuff" where I left off - only to see that "Low & Behold" people have posted what I was thinking . . . DAMN, I didn't think there were that many GREAT MINDS ! ! !

2nd EDIT: BTW: I DO NOT know how I could have missed this - But Watch out for that Tongue - I Bet It Could Knock Ya" Down If She Wants To Be Affectionate and You're Not Careful    (Again - I am talking about "Lexi" ;) Not Your SON :) )

My grampa asked me to order him a kit aswell, after trying mine... Hes smopked 65 years a pack a day. We got the kit 3 days ago, He smoked a bit the first day. But ran out yesterday and hasnt bought a pack again and says he wont!! He has been couging alot latley, And I know that that goes aweay fairly quickly after quitting. :)

I didnt think he would acually stop smoking analogs, I though at best he would cut back!! So i am very happy... We can split shipping now too! :)

This is the first that I've been able to go anywhere without a giant mastiff face in my face. I was able to sneak off while Lexi is snoozing in the bedroom. I wasn't able to get the doggie that I showed in my original pics. Evidently his foster mom freaked when she realized she might lose him and decided to adopt him herself! However - the rescue shelter that I've been working with had an underweight little 2 1/2 year old who's been shuffled around from home to home. Dave and I braved the Indiana road system during the snow yesterday (which is reaaallly brave! The Hoosier State doesn't usually have a lot of funding for snow removal or plowing). It took us about six hours to get to her, meet her, fall in love with her, get supplies for her, and get her home. Without further ado - This is Lexi and my son Dave:

Sorry for the blurry pics. She didn't want to hold still!! So far, she's an absolute angel, and just wants to please. She does have separation anxiety though, and won't even let me go to the john alone. Scared the heck outta me when she tried jumping up on the bed to join me in the middle of the night. But when I asked her to get down, she did reluctantly. She just seems soooo sweet.

Hopefully, I'll be around more now, and be able to field some of the questions from newcomers. Welcome New Volties!!

Congratulations on your new "baby", Rave!:)

What a beauty she is! I'm sure she'll calm right down and make an outstanding companion. It's a terrific breed, calm, confident and pretty even tempered - at least the one I had was. Congrats!

That's fantastic news!! Just a word of warning though: After a couple of weeks, he make go through a pretty intense coughing spell. A lot of folks report this when they give up analogs completely. It seems to be your body's way of purging itself of years of crud. Mine was pretty intense. Felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. A LOT of water helps a great deal. :)

Which Uncle mentioned right after your post. That's what I get for not reading ahead.
