Hello All! Just got home from being gone for the weekend and found a little package waiting for me! Laura, you ROCK! Thanks SO much for the USB charger! Now, to report on my Hubby's VOLT experience! Since they came fully charged, he's not had to charge anything all weekend (I bought him 5 batteries). He said some SUPER exciting things:

1. The Ice Menthol pre filled cartos: "THIS one is very close to what I'm looking for. These could get me to stop smoking." YAY!!! :D

2. The Mentol Burst pre filled cartos: "A little minty, but an easy vape until more Ice Menthol arrive" LOL

3. The Cappuccino pre filled cartos: "Bleck. Doesn't taste like coffee, but I was never a cappuccino dude anyway." Oy LOL

4. The cartos & batteries: "Wow, these things last forever!" Yup, yup, they do!

and... my favorite:

5. HIM: "My cigs (analogs) taste burnt." ME: "Um, honey, they ARE burnt - that's what the fire is about" HIM: "I KNOW THAT, but I've never noticed the yuck taste before." BONUS!!! :toast: We are making progress!!!

Obviously, he's not done with analogs quite yet, but he feels it coming. I'm so excited!! In the meantime, I have some questions.

1. He tried my niece's "Smokefree" coffee pre-filled cartos. He really, really liked it. Hence, me trying the Cappuccino cartos, which, as you saw above, didn't work out. So, my question is, does anyone know if the "Smokefree" cartos are compatible with the VOLT batteries? If not, can anyone recommend a really nice coffee juice that is similar (if you happen to be familiar with the "Smokefree" product?).

2. How do I know when the battery is charged? The battery LED light is on solid on the USB charger right now, and it's been on there for over an hour. Does it go out when it's done? How the heck long does it take?

3. He's on the lookout for a nice, smooth aromatic "pipe tobbaco" juice or VOLT compatible pre-filled carto. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks for everything!

Wow, Barb- that's really good news! Seems to be working out for him so far!

Coffee e-liquid: There are lots and lots of really good e-liquid suppliers out there, and almost all of them will have some kind of coffee. How does he like his coffee? I would suggest diving into one and ordering some sample sizes until you find one he likes. I've had good luck with flavors from KickBass Vapor, Tasty Vapor (limited sample selection), Sweet-Vapes (tend to be sweet), VaporBomb, and Vapor Renu, but this is from very limited experimentation. Most places will also have some kind of pipe-tobacco-like flavor. Kill 2 birds...

Charging the battery: In my experience, a 78mm will take around 3 hours to fully charge. I think the 65mm takes about 2. The battery LED will stay lit the entire time it's charging, until about the last 10-15 minutes, then it'll go out. I usually leave it on the USB charger until the charger LED changes (to blue or green, depending on which one you have).

I don't do tobacco flavors, but I've been reading that 555 comes really close to a pipe tobacco. (DM, where the heck are you? :) ). Maybe try that, or a smooth sampler pack next time (the one with one each of SI's tobacco flavors)?

It's true, I use the "condom" method my self. When I lable them though, even sharpie isnt permanent. Nor do lables stick to them. If I had Volt branded, half-stack carto dummies with a pen-friendly strip, well, I think a few of us would buy a handfull, not to mention getting another "first to the market" win would be great..Go Volt!!!

You could put one of the carto covers on (the one without the plug) - it doesn't screw on but would still protect that end of the battery.

I make laminated labels on the P-Touch labeler and they stick, even through washings. I've read here on ECF about pens with paint for ink that they say holds up. I would have tried them if I hadn't already gotten the labeler.

Morning/afternoon/evening all. I'm building up to posting my ugly mug on here for the group montage, but I'm loving all the various wild life and pets. So here are my boys: Vince, the black lump, named after the Vincent motorcycle and Sid - well, he used to be vicious...

Our "Jacques" looks like your Vince. He is a big cat and walks like John Wayne. Our "Hyacinth" is a little trouble maker. She has been banned from my bedroom because she likes to play with my jewelry. She got my door open somehow this morning and woke me up walking on my head. We also have "Ching", a beautiful seal pointe Siamese, who is an absolute sweetheart.
