Good mornin' Fellow Volties! It decided that it was finally going to be winter here. I'm not too happy about that decision.

It decided to be winter here too, in your neighbor state. Not much snow, but very cold. I've started my countdown to spring. Five weeks and two days to the official beginning of spring!

btw, just realized today is Lincoln's birthday.

So if the stiff draw is from built up gunk on the coil how do I clean this? And where is the coil? I clean the battery with a tissue and toothpick like I saw in steeljan's video.

You mean cleaning cartos, not batteries, right? The coil is in the carto. I think at some point, you have to decide to either toss the carto and start with a fresh one, or do a really thorough cleaning. Different people have different methods, but it seems lots of people like to use a jewelry cleaner, some kind of machine with a liquid in. I amassed info when lots of people were posting about cleaning cartos, and I can PM it to you. One person microwaved distilled water to heat it, and another said not to do that because it can suddenly boil up. There was some recent discussion about how sugar does that, but maybe the plain distilled water is safe? If you try that method, microwaving distilled water, be really careful, just in case. Just ask, and I'll PM the instructions in 2 parts, since the stuff is too long for one post.

Thanks but I will just toss them and order fresh cartos rather than go through the hassle! No, I clean the top of the sealed battery with a tissue wrapped around a toothpick so I can get the black stuff out when it gets stuck there and clean the air holes and Threads. I watched it in a video.

It's cold here in Southern Wisconsin, that's for sure! Wish this weather would make up it's mind as my sinuses are acting up! Oh well, life goes on.

On another note, I'm so glad that I ordered an extra USB charger! Seems as if the original one that I received in my starter kit has died. I sent a message to customer service about getting it replaced. I don't know it it'll be worth shipping it back, though. I ended up ordering another one, just in case.

I think I found some new "go-to" vapes. Strawnana and Cinnamon from EliteVaporWorks. The strawnana reminds me of the strawberry-banana yogurt that we buy for snacks! Yummy yummy! :)

I hope everyone is keeping warm and happily vaping. :vapor:

Yes, that's good to do, too, but when you mentioned gunk on the coil, that made me think you were talking about cartos, not batteries.

Freezing cold here too... 52 right now, expect to get to maybe 62 at the highest. Brrrrr!!!

Ooooh - That's just cruel! It was 13 degrees when Lexi first wanted to go out this morning ... And she doesn't understand "Hurry up and do your thing - It's freakin' COLD out here!"

The other day, I was going through that, I ordered some new coffee flavours from MLV and i swear thre was NO flavour and i was really disapoin ted, then the next day i tried it and i could taste it. Also i was gettin no TH and then again next day i was. weird

liquid has a standard life of 1 year.

cool dark places are the best storage.

it could be due to not being shaken often and this is just the end of the bottle...or it could be the carto age or a combo of the 2 ....

or even have a weird taste bud day... sometimes our all day vapes loose their taste to us vapers for a few days..

I think I really confused everyone :p... There have been no changes at all made to the cartos since almost 1 year ago I think May..ish When we removed the hard end caps and made them a little more high voltage friendly. There have been no changes since to any batches...

I vape these everyday... I am lucky enough to go just grab fresh ones and test different shipments.. We have not seen any variances. There can be the rare dud pack but 99% of the time they should be spot on :)

If you feel you might have an issue with a certain pack of cartos just email CS and they will help you out ;)

some other things that might cause issues would be

Tweaks in the liquids used.
batteries need cleaning
The carto may not be making a good contact with the batts (you can just pull the post of the carto down a bit and it will improve)
All of mine are prefilled and there's a vast difference between today's and a few months ago. I'm afraid to open a new carto for friends to try now because they just don't satisfy, they're like vaping on a flooded carto, they don't sizzle, they just suck lol. (I'm saving the last great pack for me). There is a difference I'm afraid. The last packs I've received have all been sucky. (vapable, yes, but not delightfully so). I won't return them, because I do use them, but just don't like them like the previous ones. I, too, thought it was my battery needing cleaning (although they do get cleaned every change out), but man oh man when I pulled out a Nov carto, I can assure you there is nothing wrong with the batteries. It's like the difference between a Volt PT and a BluPoo
