Its a tough road...some made the switch easily some have been going back and forth for years...its a personal journey.... it can be as much mental as physical... don't get discouraged.
some advice ...don't play the mental game...of which one tastes better...which one feels better... because in the beginning of vaping...tobacco will win in your mind...it's what you are used to ...its what your body is craving... those that like vaping more then smoking have usually been doing it solely for quite sometime...
also you might try when you run out of cigarettes resisting the urge to go buy another pack (anxiety sets in I know) but just vape all day and watch TV ...stay on ECF... and just try not to buy another pack...eventually you go 2-3-7 days and then you are like ...well I can't go back now...and soon you are just a vaper and a non-smoker... that's what worked for me!! (the 3rd time I tried it I should add)
Thanks for the encouragement, Imagine & les_paul. I have noticed a shift. Sometimes now I want a cigarette, but after the first couple of puffs, I think, "Why didn't I just vape instead?" It's like vaping is making me enjoy cigarettes less, but habit makes me still go there. Meanwhile, sometimes I vape, and I think, "This really isn't a cigarette. It doesn't satisfy like an analog does." I opened the Smooth Sampler pack of more tobacco-like cartos and tried Desert Joe, because some people here said they liked it best. Maybe I should play around with the other flavors of the Smooth Sampler and see if another one appeals more. What about that 555 everyone's pining away for? Meanwhile, sometimes I still smoke those disposables I got at first to see if I even liked vaping. I guess getting 3 of them was overkill. So I have 4 different vaping possibilities, and I switch around with them and cigs. I think I like the taste of the coffee-flavored disposable best, so far. The other disposable flavors are tobacco and vanilla. And I tried someone's cinnamon and really, really liked that. I decided not to put any pressure on myself to give up cigs, to just see if vaping would take over. I still feel that's the best approach for me, but maybe I'm just making excuses.
