Came back here to tell you what I found about charging 78mm batts in the PCC and got sidetracked. I fully charged the PCC then charged the 1st battery. Then was able to charge a 2nd battery to about 1/2 charged - it took about an extra hour of charging on the USB to finish it off.

This is normal? That is what mine did yesterday. I charged a 78mm battery. It ran the bars down to one, then put another battery in and it charged about 1/2 way. I'd rather not send it back unless it quits working. It is nice to have JIC(Even though I am carrying 4 batteries during the day)

I peeled all the decals off.... I almost wish the batt had that polished aluminum look to it like the cartos..
Just got some polished chrome cartomizer skins from ecigmods...they're 34mm x 34mm, and just a couple of mm too short for the horizontal coil cartos I got from somewhere else (36mm). But maybe leave a sliver of the black at the bottom? And of course, this will all probably be moot when the secret surprise product comes in. I can't wait to get into Volt stuff!

I'm new here, btw. Hi everybody! I've read up to page 219, so I think I'm almost caught up (you guys are quite entertaining)! :)

Try a polishing with fine steel wool. Might do the job. It works quite well on "beat-to-all-get-out" batteries, and brings them to a polished stainless steel look.
Or super-fine wet sandpaper (like 1200-2000 grit from an auto parts store). I actually did that to my kitchen sink because it's easier to clean and I'm a bacteriophobe (bacteria clings hard to the hills and valleys of brushed stainless. I know - I'm a freakazoid). But bare metal doesn't get hot on the lips?

OK, read the whole thread. I'm all caught up now! :smokie:

Hi Cindy and welcome. Your in a good group here. Lots of nice people.

Oh and I think your avatar is cool.

I think it is. There was a post about 4 pages ago saying you should be able to charge the shorter 65mm batteries 3-4 times but the longer 78mm 1-2 times. So I wanted to test that theory. But it's a shame there couldn't be a bigger battery to put into the charger itself that would allow at least 2 full charges for the 78mm. It's nice that they fit inside now, but not terribly practical to only allow 1.5 charges.

ive seen the vape dr.?.use a soft rubber grib off a cheap pen..? Would that work Star?

Naw, that's not what I'm after. I don't want use carto caps or pen grips as a make-shift tip. I want an actual drip tip shaped drip tip that's just made out of a different material than metal or hard plastic. No worries... maybe I'll invent it and make millions.
Muuuuahahahaha!

Just curious, has anyone seen, used or made some type of small tube w/ a cap or something similar to use for putting your manual batts in your pocket/purse so it doesnt activate? Is there a market for this? That is the only reason for me choosing the auto over the manual. I dont want it going off in my pocket, and once I start filling my wifes cartos then the possibility of it going off in her purse is great. Maybe there is something out there to fit the bill. I havent seen one though...

I had another PV shipped with a plastic half-ring that guarded the button. I'd say just putting your Volt battery in the PCC or another case (like that small glasses case posted a few pages back) would be the answer. I guess I don't think about it a lot myself when I throw it in my bag--the button doesn't seem like it would be very easy to press or for another item in the purse to hold down for a long time. But I guess better safe than sorry.

Well my kit arrived along with the smooth sampler. It came fully charged so it took longer to open the packages than anything. What a mess. Almost 5 months of reading and research down the drain. "Don't get small ones that look like real cigarettes. Get a car muffler with a tractor battery and the afterburner from a jet for an atty if you want real vaping pleasure and all day convenience." "Don't get an automatic battery. That's too simple. The only way to switch is pushing a button every time you want a puff or it will self destruct and take out your living room." It did cause me one problem though. My wife tried it and now I've got about a buck fifty order sitting in my shopping cart waiting to hit the detonator but I've got to wait and keep hitting F5 to find out what else I can't live without that's going to become available today. The Desert Joe is absolutley awesome and the cig performs exactly as shown in the reviews so far. And I have no reason to think there's going to be any problems. Excellent taste and production. SI's website is great. Easy to navigate, informative and uncluttered and the products are obviously of top quality. Another thing I've heard and adhered to is buy your equipment from an equipment vendor and juice from a juice vendor. I haven't proven it yet but the batt, cartos and juice on these seem to be blended together for optimal performance so I guess that line of thought is out the window as well. I think I'm in for the long run with these and can't wait for the PCCs to get here.

I thought the manual batteries were of the new style with the 5 button press to turn of and on? That way they cannot turn on in your pocket. I'm I wrong?
