finding your go to flavor is more then half the battle... please keep us posted!!

Thank you all,

I will try what you suggest. First of all I checked the holes, they did seem a bit blocked so I poked a tiny needle through them. They are fine now. Then I screwed on the cartridge, making sure that the two battery holes are not blocked by the cartridge. If I screw them on without checking that, the holes do get covered up.

I bought glycerine at the chemist, I don't have a lot of juice and don't want to waste any. Topped up the watermelon with glycerine, I'm pretty sure it's soaked now. The taste is still disgusting, but weaker due to the glycerine diluting the watermelon juice. The diluted grape is bland now, but at least not burnt. The menthol is weaker, but still unpleasant. It does seem that the cartridges might not have been filled enough? I haven't done the others yet, I need to have a break from obsessing about this. :p

The vapor is still quite warm, but not as hot as before. I think it might've been those airholes. It'll be interesting when I get the blank cartridges, I've got 80/20 juice from Ms T's Bakery and Velvet Vapors to try.

Thanks again,

Tgirl

Hey resnbl NICE AVI!! Looks like a V too! Sweet! :)

Thank you very much. I've been using these cordial glasses as my desktop/nightstand holder (it's not like I intend to use a glass with that small of volume for drinking!). I took those photos for another thread here, then decided a cropped version looked better than my previous avatar.

Argh....just killed my chrome battery....was in a hurry and filled the carto while on the battery....dummy

DO NOT fill your carto with it attached to the battery...it will mess up the pressure switch

Was digging the chrome battery/brushed aluminum carto(sticker removed) look....doh!

You might be able to fix it. Roll up a long bit of tissue into a tiny thread and poke it into the hole. Pull it out and tear off as much that has e-liquid on it and then poke it back in. When you don't get anymore liquid onto the tissue thread anymore, then put the thread back in and let the battery thread side down for awhile, maybe overnight. Pull out the tissue thread then and see if it works again. Fingers crossed.

I don't have the Volt manual batteries, just the automatic. But with any of these, screw the carto on until you feel it just touch, don't like screw them on hard because that too will restrict the airflow.

Oh and welcome!!

From past experience with a different vender this burnt taste would also happen if the resistance on the cartos were a little to low. Are you having this problem with all of them or just a few?

The Internet
I've been a pretty busy guy over the spring and summer months, so I have mostly just been lurking in the corners.

I do have to say though . . . it's very nice to see a new supplier come and be so interactive with the community! Everyday and the interaction hasn't faded!

Thanks for being a stand-up supplier Imagine!

Congratulations on your anniversaries from me also. You too starsong for your 6 month vaping anniversary! Love is alive and well (at least on the Volt thread). My hubby and I enjoyed 23 years of being BFF's. Although he passed away in March of last year, I still feel incredibly lucky to have had what we had for so long.

So! Let's all raise a PV (preferrably a Volt) in a toast to love - even if it's only the Volt that we're currently lovin' !! :toast:

Okay, I just ordered my Volt yesterday! I'm so excited to try this out!

I started out vaping with a KR808d, went to Ego's, then mods, only to realize that I'm more comfortable with a smaller PV.

So I'm excited to see how the Volt compares the the standard KR808d that I started out with a year ago! The only thing that made me want to upgrade from it was that I just wasn't getting enough good, consistent vapor. It sounds like the Volt will be different in that aspect, yes?

I hope it's OK that I haven't read most of the first 2400(!) postings in this thread. My order of a couple boxes of blank Volt cartos came in a couple days ago, so I'm on day 2 of testing one out on my 5V box mod. I've been using Premium 808 cartos for some time, but just lately have experienced more first or second-day "burn-itis" than before. (Maybe a bad shipment, or maybe some subtle change in some factor in my own use? Whatever...) My interest in the Volt cartos was piqued by SteelJan's mention in her video that they don't seem to burn.

So far, so good. I am noticing that the draw is fairly tight. Actually, I prefer that and for that reason use 808 cartos with an adapter to 510 power. I find that the adapter tightens the draw to a more cigarette-like feel, as compared to the airiness of a straight 808 setup. I am a little concerned, though, that the tightness of the draw seems to have increased a bit from the first day to the second, and hope that clogging is not going to be an issue.

All of this makes me at least a bit curious about the whole Volt auto-battery thing, maybe as something to recommend to my still-smoking friends. Do those of you who use it find the draw more comparable to a regular cigarette than an 808 is?

Yes....it is VERY different than the 808's of the past (especially a year ago). I think you will be quite pleased:laugh:

are the sky blue batteries and yellow batteries coming in 78mm? when?
also....are there any refilling tools sold by smokeless image?

They are in now phish;) And no refilling tools:(

I find it a tighter draw than say an atty on any 510 connection, but it has been a while since I have had a ciggie, so I don't really feel comfortable being able to answer how the draw compares...lol....I don't remember the draw on a ciggie. I do remember that they differed between brands and were much tighter if the ciggies were "packed" before opening:laugh:

Hey Paul! I'm no expert but I wil share this..I use the volt cartos with their auto batts and id say the draw is nice, not too airy not too tight. I few days ago I was posting a flashlight mod in the classies and figured I should test to se if it works (didn't have 808's when I won it) so I popped a volt carto on it and worked great but I noticed the draw was pretty tight, deffinatly more so than with the volt auto batt.
IMO the volt carts work best with the volt batts and I think they are a great and easy alternative to analogs. HTH...although not sure..
