Here you go Lax:

IMG_2601.jpg

Stalebird I have both and love both, the small one is sleek and nice for going out to supper or something where you won't be gone a long time and I like that it fits in my back pocket.

The Mega I did buy elsewhere (Imagine didn't know if they were getting it for sure or I would have waited) I love it for work, vacation, etc. I usually end up with three batteries because I have the one I am currently vaping and two in the PCC. if you use the 65mm you can fit either another carto above each battery or drip tips (I do drip tips because 6 cartos is plenty). The charger for the mini pcc and the Mega are interchangeable so I have a charger at work and one at home. My Ipad charger is in the car so I am covered there too. I can vape at my desk so my ecig is like my 11th finger and I have charged my 65mm three times and still had one blue dot before when I got home. If I have two dead batteries and try charging them both at once it does take longer to charge them so I usually charge one at a time, but if I have two dead ones I did something wrong:)

Also, I think it is pretty darn sturdy - I throw it in my desk drawer, my purse, etc and I don't think it even has any scratches on it yet.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, i knew I saw a photo comparing to your phone, since I have an Incredible too :) , just don't remember the mega being there. Now I just have to decide between the two...

I'm kinda glad that these aren't one of the ones that factor in how much you've spent - I used one of those for awhile until it got really depressing (" and will break even in 111 days").

ARGH, too many to choose from! They're all so pretty!

OK, well I got the 10 posts rule from reading the rules Rolygate had posted. Maybe they paid in advance for a year or something, who knows. I was thinking of writing the bosses and see what they say - is Misty a better choice than Angus? I really don't know who's who in the admin dept.

You really get around Keela, I'm going to stay on your good side
This one big, loooooong thread is starting to grow on me though (especially now that I know that the "Search Thread" thing works). Feels so home-y. You guys are fun!
...so what ever happened to the scary guy, with the macerated eyeball and octopus cake?

I hope it's OK that I haven't read most of the first 2400(!) postings in this thread. My order of a couple boxes of blank Volt cartos came in a couple days ago, so I'm on day 2 of testing one out on my 5V box mod. I've been using Premium 808 cartos for some time, but just lately have experienced more first or second-day "burn-itis" than before. (Maybe a bad shipment, or maybe some subtle change in some factor in my own use? Whatever...) My interest in the Volt cartos was piqued by SteelJan's mention in her video that they don't seem to burn.

So far, so good. I am noticing that the draw is fairly tight. Actually, I prefer that and for that reason use 808 cartos with an adapter to 510 power. I find that the adapter tightens the draw to a more cigarette-like feel, as compared to the airiness of a straight 808 setup. I am a little concerned, though, that the tightness of the draw seems to have increased a bit from the first day to the second, and hope that clogging is not going to be an issue.

All of this makes me at least a bit curious about the whole Volt auto-battery thing, maybe as something to recommend to my still-smoking friends. Do those of you who use it find the draw more comparable to a regular cigarette than an 808 is?

Howdy there! Although I said the Volt cartos won't burn, I can't see them tasting good at 5V, that's just too high of a voltage. These cartos are roughly 2.5ohms. Do you typically like vaping 2.5ohms at 5V? The draw is probably tightening up because you are burning-crusting juice onto the coil at 5V. When juice burns/crusts onto any atty/carto coil, it continues doing it until the whole thing becomes like a black BB, taking increasing amounts of power to vaporize the juice, tasting like crap, and in this case, reducing the center airhole free space inside the carto.

These perform the best for me on the Volt automatic battery. It's like Goldilocks & the Three Bears, ah, just right.

Yes, the draw on the Volt is similar to an analog, the closest I've ever found.

Had to post real quick and see if my signature banner worked - and it does! I love it, they are the best out there! Gonna have to go back to my other one soon though, it was my reward for quitting smoking to myself and I'm extremely attached to it.

You might be able to have two signature banners. Worth a try maybe?

No problemo... I knew it was only just recently discussed so I just copied and pasted from the last time you wrote all that.

Not much really to review -- it's a PCC, it charges batteries and holds cartos. You can use an iPhone/iPod connector to charge it or use the one it comes with (2 different slots to choose from). Nice part about that is if you own both and are traveling you only need to bring the 1 connector with you.

What have I left out?

edit: holy smokes I just read about the lifespan of the pcc battery that you wrote -- I hadn't even noticed that before. hmmm - I'm sure someone will figure out how to "jailbreak" it to replace the battery. SteelJan?

Sure, I could figure out how to "jailbreak it" LOL!! But whether I'd do a how-to video would depend on what sort of battery is in there. If it's a soldered-in lithium polymer gel pack, it would not be safe to have folks trying to change it out. But I might be able to figure out a way to clip out the old pack and solder in a battery connector for a new pack. Hum....

Oh, someone else asked if there could be a way to mod the original PCC to take longer batteries. Yes you can. Should I do a video on it? Clip out the plastic retainers for the short batteries. Then one way could be to make a spacer out of something like plastic or styrofoam that can push and hold the 78mm batteries securely against the battery recharging prongs and glue that one in place. If you also want to be able to also recharge 65mm batteries, then make another spacer that will fit against your 78mm battery spacer that can push the 65mm batteries against the charging prongs.

:laugh:testing sig banner

:( it doesn't show :(

When you make a post, look below it at a checkbox that says "Show your Signature" and check it. To try it on your above post, click Edit, then "Go Advanced" then check the checkbox that says "Show your Signature."

On my signature thing, actually my quit smoking date is different than my started vaping date. So I used my started vaping date and how many cigs I used to smoke back when I smoked. Kinda bizarre, but I want the Volt sig, LOL!!

Here, there, everywhere!
Laurae hon....you can already do that with the search function at the top....just go to advanced and put in the user name and it will pull all posts in the thread by that person:laugh:

Keela.....unless I just can t figure it out the only time the search feature will find your name is if someone has typed it in the thread itself.....is there an extra function?

Under "Advanced Search" you can select "Username" and tick the "Posts" box - or - you can click on the member's name above their avatar and select "View Forum Posts".

Thanks for the tip. Now I'm waiting for the present carto on my eGo to die (as I don't change flavors or swap cartos at all these days) for a better voltage fit. I will say that even though I haven't used that low a resistance on my 5V before, the flavor is not half bad. I'm not sure I'm going to pop for an auto-battery kit for myself, but I may well recommend the setup to interested friends.

I know what you mean. Soon as my wife's stuff comes in I'm boxing the Ego and Riva stuff up for backups.
4th order just placed for more volt goodies. It still amazes me to this day how much more i am satisfied with this tiny little Pv than compared to say my Ego or Big mod.

Just noticed I'm a Senior Member now. Wonder how that happened. Actually, I wonder how they knew.

Imagine, keep us updated with your Canadian distributor, being from Canada, I have a vested interest in this. Currently I have my orders shipped to a mailbox in Niagara Falls, NY then bring them across. My understanding is that in Canada, you are not allowed to sell any type of carto or juice with nicotine in it, I may have my info wrong, but that is to the best of my knowledge
