So the pcc light finally goes out after 9 hours (!?!?). I popped the battery onto the USB charger to see how much more it needs - it took an addition 1 hr & 10 mins. That's just nuts! Needless to say I won't be using the mega for 102mm batts.

 WOW!!! Well, I REALLY thank you for doin that Star.....that is a ridiculous amount of time!!! So glad you have other pv's.....I think that would be enough to drive one back to ciggies:shock: I still think that the best charging method is the usb charger....for all sizes.

Well mowed the yard with my pink 65 and a RY4 carto in my hand.....65 didn't quite make the whole yard, might have to get a couple 78's just for the yard mowing, that's a good excuse to buy more batts right?? Right!

Every time a new color is released I suddenly feel that I need a new battery.
Also, every time I order new carts, I think... hummm, I really should get (another) backup battery.

Hey, Lax-
How long is it taking you to charge a dead batt on your iPad wall charger? I'm still thinking the extra amps/watts have something to do with it...just saw one on eBay too...

I'd say around two to two and a half hours on a standard (65mm) battery and add maybe an hour for a long (78mm). I've been trying to time it but I usually charge late at night and end up falling asleep :p I just got a standard pcc and seemed that the standard battery took the same time to charge as on my iPad wall wart, if that gives you any reference point.
I try not to ever charge anything (smartphone, iPad, iPod, bluetooth headset, and now volt batteries or pcc) directly off usb ports on any of my computers. I have a cig lighter usb adapter for my truck also and only use that if absolutely necessary. They can both technically do it but always seem badly underpowered. Wall warts or externally powered usb hubs are the way to go!

stock update:

cartos should be arriving tomorrow...they have landed in OHIO
Classic grape
Cowboy
menthol burst

However wall adapters got stuck....they might be delayed until tuesday-wednesday...:(

Be particularly glad that I do not live in Ohio as I would be sitting in the parking lot in the morning. Classic Grape, oh how I have missed your jolly rancher appeal!

Duh! I just took a drag of RY4, then of chocolate, to compare. When I dragged on the batt w/ choc., I got nothing! What's wrong? Duh! I was puffing on the light end, not the carto end. I still think chocolate is going to be my 2nd best.

Thank you. I was certain that I was the only person who did that. I do it allll the time.

connie i was thinking of that myself the other day a drip that fits on the outside of the cartomizer for this idea i had of a soft drip trip. you can chew and squish similar to texture of a cigg .... that slides over the carto completely or at least half way as with a regular size drip tip they make it to long for me but if it fit over and you could slide it down that would eliminate that and make it maybe a quarter inch longer .I even drew up a idea of how it would look and work

I know this will will never happen though as like they say vaping is not smoking but i thought it was a neat idea to mimic the feel of a cigg but in a tip that way i can hang it out of my mouth like i done with smoking .As i hate hard drip tips anymore as i always end up chewing them and chipping a tooth lol

Imagine posted a ways back that she cuts the end off the bootie and uses it. It was a very helpful suggestion for me as I did the same. Cut bootie, put over cart, chew the heck outta the bootie, replace as needed. (Thanks for the tip Imagine, would go back and thank you on that post, but that was how many posts ago, and I can't keep current as it is LOL)

Question: What exactly is the appeal of having a PCC. I have a host of warts on a USB charger that is plugged into the wall. I can charge 4 batteries (65) at a time in about 2 hours. That's at very minimum 8 hours of vape time for me, more if I'm busy and doing other things. I have two others ready just in case... I can break the whole device down to iphone size for travel in about two minutes. I guess if I was going hiking and camping, but still...
Would someone please help me understand the draw of these devices? I don't think that I need one, but maybe I do?:?:

Cause they're cool :p No, not enough explanation for ya....

I'll give an example that explains it for my situation.
I have a bluetooth headset for my phone that basically has a pcc, a battery is built into the carrying case. I use my BT headset for minimum 2 hours a day between work and a long-distance relationship. The case lives in my truck and the headset ALWAYS goes back in its case when not in use and I know my headset is always charged when I pull it out of the case. I usually need to charge the case once every 7 to 10 days. Without the case I see a few different likely outcomes: I'd be grabbing a dead headset often, accidentally leaving it in the house regularly, or best case I'd just have to charge it every other day...and that just seems like a pain :nah:

So I'll use my pcc the same way. It lives in the truck, which might as well be my office. It always has a spare fully charged battery at the ready, if not two, and when a battery dies it goes right in the charger to continue the cycle. Less chance of forgetting batteries in chargers at home or my store, less chance of realizing I have a pile of dead batteries I didn't get to charge the night before, and I should only need to bring the pcc in from the truck every 4 to 5 days for a charge.
And that doesn't even take into account traveling...

This may have been a very long winded explanation but the example is why I decided to purchase my pcc in the first place cause I, like you, have enough available usb ports and wall warts to power a small town ;)
I'm not telling you to go buy one, I'll leave that to others here  ,but hope that helps you understand their popularity.

What do you call super quick about replacing the defective battery?

i want the yellow one badly for when i go outdoors especially fishing on a boat .As i always misplace my black battery as it blends in with the carpet lol.

But the sky blue and raspberry one help me from losing them so much .And yes i have my original volt battery with the larger VOLT logo and it still performs excellent and it has been around 2 months i have had it .Very good battery's but just like anything they are made to be replaceable and factory Defects due occur but Si has always been top notch super quick replacing one of mine that was defective

Anybody none any mods to their si pcc ( the smaller one)? I haven't held one in my hands but i was wondering if there was any room to customize it to hold some cartos.

i saw a pcc from a chinese supplier that is similar to si's but it has a slot for two carts and is a flip top instead of a slide.
i would of ordered it but shipping is 25 dollars on a 25 dollar unit, not worth it imo.

oh and I'm gonna definitely write some reviews on si's page-- thanks for the reminder!

Thanks I too am interested in this pcc looks like the same size but holds extra carts and flip top. Looks like it would be perfect for me. The slide top is ok but no room for extra carts the mega is ok also but just a little too big. I would like to see smokeless image look in to this pcc thanks. Here is the link and it looks like it holds 3 extra carts. http://www.vogue-tec.com/Super+Electronic+Cigarette-china/Super+Electronic+Cigarette-Vogue+PCC+E-47/

You're welcome :) The XL doesn't take much longer to charge than a 78mm when using the USB or wall charger. But as far as the pcc goes, it would only be good for storage of XLs. It might be different if the battery lasted for 9 hours, but I don't think it even lasts much longer than a 78mm.

So the moral of the story is, just cuz you can doesn't mean you should. :)

It's nice looking for sure and has most of the feature of my 'dream pcc'. But two things I'm not sure about: 1) it says it is 900mah, and 2) doesn't say if it fits 78mm batts - pictures seems to show 65mm in some and 78mm in others. I'm thinking we need more than 900mah and I definitely need it to fit 78mm batts. (specs were way at the bottom past all the pictures)

As a dedicated Marlboro smoker for many years who asked the same question weeks ago in the new members forum (didn't we all?), I am so glad I never started vaping with a tobacco flavor. I'm not sure I would have made it - I detest them, they really make me gag. I had done a lot of reading and knew the variety of flavors out there was what was going to do it for me, plus all the yummies I vape keep me outta the snacks, so I haven't been ballooning since I've quit smoking. Just my own experience, for what it's worth!

I gave her prep questions to make sure she will atleast give it a few days , she doesn't seem to happy to give it a go. I think I will just get the one batterie and if she doesn't like it I will use it
