Imagine...just FYI.... I charge my VOLT batteries with another companies charger and the LED does not go off when charging is complete. I have no problems with the batteries getting a full charge, I just judge by my chargers light (goes from red to green when charged).

Good to know. I have had my shorty batt on charger for 3 hours now. Hope SOMEthing goes out soon!! Worse than waiting for the mailman. Waiting on charger blues? LOL

Didn't someone here say that the 5V passthrough can fry the Volt cartos? I'm just worried that ConnieBGood could cook one of her new cartos. Was I imagining that?

really? are you sure? how long have you left them on the chargers for?

Nope. Wall charger with USB. Gonna try it with just USB on my PC. Just a sec. Ok, got it on PC now. No change but LED flashes 3 time when I took it off of wall charger.

The Volt batts LED does not go out on "other" chargers. When fully charged, the light on the charger will change. FYI the Other company's batts that are very similar...their LED on the batts also stay on when charged on some "other" chargers. So Connie...just watch the light on the charger...when it shows charged, you are good to go. I have never had to charge any of the batts I have gotten from SI outta the box (I always check, but they all have come fully charged:laugh:)

So, are you saying that you've got the battery screwed into a USB charger dongle, then you had that plugged into a wall adaptor, and the LED on the end of the Volt battery never went out?

Is the USB dongle and/or the wall adaptor a SmokelessImage Volt brand or are both from other vendors? I'm asking because I don't know for certain if every USB dongle works with a Volt battery and I know for sure that the Ego wall adaptor does NOT work with the Volt battery, at least the Ego wall adaptor I got with my Ego. So which wall adaptor are you using? If the USB dongle is not a Volt, what was it used for before?

Like said before, when put on a charger, the LED of the Volt battery will come on. When it's done charging, that LED goes off.

And yes, anytime you remove charging power from a Volt battery, the Volt battery's LED will flash 3 times. That's normal.

Maybe it would be helpful if someone spreadsheety could make up a chart on which chargers and USB dongles and maybe even charging cases work with a Volt. And we could all add what to expect if the behavior is different like you pointed out here.

.... or we could all just buy true Volt equipment!! :)

Great review Chris! I agree completely with the shock value of this product. I've tried a lot of PV's and never did quite feel satisfied. The Volt just blows me away. This little, bitty thing that couldn't do double duty as a weapon in an emergency like many mods - but it does pack a punch. Love it, love it, love it! You must try SI's RY4 too, but I mostly smoke grape juice as well - lol. *great story BTW*

NO! No! No!! Not the RY4!!! It's terrible! Blech! Yuck! yuck (1).gif

Especially at 12mg!!!!!!:p:p:p:D:D:D

Hi guys, miss you, if you think I missed anything relevant the last couple of days say so and I'll back-read the thread, otherwise I just wanted to say:
SteelJan for President!
and I'm not even kidding. If she could do for the country what she has done for the Volt, well......
see ya later, lots more grumpy jerks out there waiting for me to smile at them!

Yes, it never went out but others have posted that it never goes out but the LED on USB does change to green.

I am using another brand. I had the same thing happen with one of their batts. It had a white LED ash like this one does. Seemed to charge alright though. None of the other batts gave me any problems.

Don't know if SI batt came fully charged or not. Would help if I knew.

Gonna take it off charger and see how long it lasts and if it will take a charge or not.

Thanks for info. My charger LED never went out either. I have NO idea if SI batt was charged or not when I got it. I DID get smart enough to D/L the manual from SI. It said to charge batt for 3 to 4 hours the first time. Like I said, gonna take it off charger and see what happens.

Connie, Imagine has stated in the past that they come charged...at least partially. As I noted, all 7 of mine had come fully charged.

Thanks! Wish me luck! LOL Hope I don't have to buy a Volt charger too. Nothing against Volt but I can't afford to be buying new stuff all the time. Though I WILL say the best money I have spent on vaping is for the Volt!

May I ask who's charger you are using? The one I use, the light does not go out, but it changes from red (when charging) to green (when fully charged)

That is my sentiment exactly. I am not made of money over here and are on a VERY tight budget till next April. I cannot afford to get accessories that are not necessary....when the one I have goes bad (which they all do eventually) I will order one of SI's....or if I find that the one I am using marrs the buttons on my manuals...which they have not yet (as they are higher on the batt, they go into the charger housing too)...then I will order one, but not till I have to.
