Wow, good point.
But that nic one's awfully hard to keep happy (worse than h....., so they say) - there may be more success if those needs were being met and the same amount of nic was being supplied, at least initially. Here's a chart of nic levels for analogs, in case anybody's curious:
Erowid Tobacco Vault : Info on Nicotine Content of Cigarette Brands

...but yeah, I guess I'm more into the action now, 'cause I'm down to 6mg (from 12mg) and perfectly happy...can probably go even lower now, since I've gotten hooked more on the flavor.

The biggest problem is with all the other things they ADD to ciggies. They add chemicals to make them more addictive. I have come to the conclusion that nicotine is no more addictive than caffeine....I don't care what the gubbment agencies say (consider the source....they are the ones ALLOWING all the additives into ciggies). What most vapers crave after quitting smoking is the MAOI's that are ADDED to ciggies. My dad, brother, and several other "family" friends are cigar smokers, but they can go days and days, weeks even without a cigar...and well, there is pure tobacco in them (no added addicting chems) and they have no withdrawal, no hardcore cravings. The addictive factor of nicotine, IMHO, has been heightened by the very people that want smokers to "BELIEVE" they are very addicting, therefore producing a self-fulfilling prophesy and fattening their pockets by keeping people using.

I have seen too many people here on ECF that have had to reduce their nicotine content to 0mg. Their bodies stop handling it the way it used to. They started higher for a while, all was good, then all of a sudden they get dizzy, or sick feeling. They lower their nic level and all is good for a while and then again it starts all of a sudden where they need to reduce again. (mind you, many of these ECFers have been vaping for over a year, so it has been gradual) If nicotine was as addictive as "THEY" say, I don't see how anyone could go to 0nic....IF it were that addicting, we would continue to crave more and more.

Sorry for my rant....just my :2c:

Different people see different things I guess. My big issue with this video is that not one person is wearing a seatbelt.
Seat belts save lives.
This message profesorized by your local Para-med-dog.
Now back to your regularly scheduled forum.

My big issue is it wasn't lip synched. Not to mention the song is vapid, but I'm no longer 17, so I can see how it'd appeal to teeny-boppers.

This is where I differ from everyone else's ideas on giving advice. I was able to quit using just 11/12mg, sometimes I do the 16/18mg, but 75% of the time it was the "medium" nics. I don't agree that the higher nics are always better, because people don't always vape like they smoke, and the higher nics could have undesirable effects. Maybe it depends if you were a 2PAD Marlboro full strength smoker, or a 1PAD GPC Ultra Light smoker (me). I dunno.... going to sit in the corner now.

I'm perfectly happy with the low nic. I did get undesirable effects with med. when I tried the disposables, so when I ordered the Volt kit, I got low nic.

I think every smoker got something different from tobacco cigs...some smoked a lot just to smoke..and some smoked a lot for the nic ....if they were just smoking more for the action...lower nics make sense :p just my nickle

I agree, I also have to take a low dose of an antidepressant or it just doesn't work for me. Every time I try to cut the medicine back my cravings increase, I'm starting to think it was some of the other things in cigarettes that kept me smoking so much.

lol...posted before I saw Keela's post, she had already made my point

Your nickel explains a lot though Imagine....never really thought of it that way as to why everyone's vaping nic levels vary so greatly. Keen eye there:laugh:

However, I really find there's something in analogs other than nic that I'm addicted to. Someone suggested MAOIs, and I think that could be it. There's more in a cigarette than nicotine.

Another thing I've found interesting: e-cigs are more satisfying accompanied by a glass of red wine than w/o. Maybe something in the wine supplies what analogs offer but e-cigs don't.

Wow Wow Wow. I leave for 3 hours or so and a lot has been said. Just got back from a fantastic night out on the town with my guy. Had too much to drink, but couldn't keep myself from checking posts. I will write in the morning when I am sober and re-read all of this. Very interesting point that stood out like a sore thumb made by imagine. Many more great points that followed. I am thrilled I came here for advise. Thank you and will respond in the morning. You all have fun.

And let's not forget the differences in nicotine delivery systems (vaping's a lot slower, which may be why some people start chain vaping)...just since we're throwing them all out there! :)
I dunno...I know how I get during a nic fit:

Here's how I get during a caffeine fit:

I had a pretty major nic fit yesterday, and it surprised me actually, I haven't had a bad one for a couple of weeks, and kind of forgot what it felt like. Progress! Man, was I a total ....h for about 10 minutes though.

I need some ECF time guys, I've really used this place as a support group and with some high stress stuff going on at work, I wish I had more time to read posts and just hang around, I need it! However, this is the kind of stuff that would drive me back to cigarettes when I would try to quit before, and I'm totally fine with my Volt. In fact, I still love it like the day I got it and I have no desire whatsoever to smoke.

Happy vaping, new Volt owners and welcome!:p

I have noticed my nicotine fits...which used to be pretty bad...are much better now... i completely agree there is way more addictive stuff in analogs...it is not a scientific opinion ...as i am not a scientist ...but i sure did smoke a lot :p

I don't have normal nic fits anymore....now I have nic RAGE! As in "Son-of-a-....where the fsck are the d@mn 12mg 555 cartos and juice supplies that I can order on the SI website? DIE DIE DIE!"
{puff puff puff} Ahhh....that's better.

[smacks arm] Need my fix, man! Need my fix!

I think I may have got a bad carto. Filled it last night. Let it sit 10hrs. Added some more drops this morning to ensure it was full. Then I connected it to my battery. It got really hot and produced little vapor. Almost too hot to touch. Weird. First bad one outta 20. Not bad.
Anyone else have this happen?

Let us know what model cleaner you get. Are the $30 ones from Amazon good enough, or do you need one of the more expensive ($60-$80) models?

Most people use Vodka like Conniebgood said.

Yes I will come back and let you know which one I get and how it works out for me.
