That use to me all the time when I first started. Then I realized that I was tipping the pv up a little while I was vaping. think i was just paranoid about getting juice in the battery.

Thanks. I'll try tipping the e-cigs down. I wasn't aware I was tipping them up, but I never gave any thought to it, so maybe I have been.

I go back and forth with what I prefer....if you are already planning on getting 2 batteries,,i would go for it and get 1 in manual and try it out....
I like both for different reasons. The manual cooks faster and you get more umph, the auto you gotta draw on it more to get things going but it is familiar to me and gives me a comfort zone to stay away from cigs :) So I like the both of them.
Hope that helps :) :vapor:

CONGRATS ON 8 WEEKS!!!!!!!!

I like manuals better. I never got the hang of the inhaling technique to get the right hit from autos - it always felt like I was practicing my yoga breathing - then, the hit was always "hit-and-miss," and sometimes I'd feel like I'm about to pass out from all that heavy breathing. I don't like having to think and concentrate on my breathing when I'm vaping. With the manuals, I can just veg out and let the battery do all the work, and I get the perfect hit every time. Seriously - I practically just stick the PV in my mouth and just let the massive amounts of warm, yummy vapor roll in, with hardly any effort at all. Pushing the button really becomes second nature after awhile. I even feel for the button when I'm using autos now! My manuals are all in my cigarette case. My autos are all in a drawer. So yeah, I would suggest trying one...

Congrats on 8 weeks!

I have both, and I prefer the autos. To me they just seam to preform better.
Congratulations on 8 weeks, that's awesome! :thumb:

the manuals may hit a tad harder and you have much less worry about refilling... that said i still love my autos...i think there is no harm in having both kinds :)

Ok, thanks everyone. I am going to go ahead and order one and try it out.

Mi Marlou and welcome :)

At the moment there are no plans for a 65mm manual...

Hi. I'm new to the Volt, just got my Pro Starter kit yesterday. OMG! It's even better than all the good things I've been reading about it. I got a sky blue 65 mm and a silver 78 mm manual. Both of them work great. I'm kind of partial to the 65 mm, because the auto is so darn easy and the size is so comfortable to hold. Just wish I'd known how easy the draw is on them, that first one was a humdinger!

I've been looking at the website and trying to decide what colors and sizes to order next. And I should have ordered extra cartos, these are very, very nice. Oh yeah, have to add I love the PCC too. It's elegant.

Now I'm wondering if Smokeless Image has any plans for a 65 mm manual. That would be a nice option.

i only use autos-- and i let people try them. they all do the same thing, take this mondo super fast and strong hit--- then cough.

i find if you take a weaker longer pull you get the perfect vapor production with out the loud sound from pulling to hard,

now when i first transitioned from analogs to ecigs i found the smoke/vapor to be much lighter less dense-- forcing me to pull harder to feel satisfied -- making that sound--
now i am adjusted and found the right inhalation.

to sum all my jabber up -- yes i had that sound too and every body who tries my volt makes that sound.. slower longer inhalation is key my young jeti (lol just sounded right there' lol)

Aha! I see what you mean about the longer, lighter drag. Thanks. I consciously held the e-cig down, and I still got a little of that e-liquid taste, but a lot less than this afternoon. Then, I was driving and vaping, and I guess it's hard to be conscious of how I hold an e-cig while watching the road.

OK, since this is the case, what do you all do, those of you with the slider charging case, when you want to have a carto attached to your 78 e-cig for easy access, and have one charging, too? I don't think I want to wear one around my neck. I guess I could just toss it in my bag and pull it out when I want to vape. This is why the mega PCC was such an attractive idea, isn't it?

a bunch of people hear have both brands... not really sure what is causing the difference in performance...do you have more then one volt battery? and if so is it happening with both?

Clamman is having the same problem I've had. I have 2 68 autos and prefilled Volt cartos. I just got advice to try a different drag, lighter, longer, and it helps a lot, though I do still hear the tiniest hiss. So it seems to be the way we drag on it when we're used to analogs. Thanks, ozpkchris, for the advice.

there will always be a tiny hiss... the sound of the juice vaporizing on the coil :)

correct thats why I'm waiting-- theres no happy medium

image said si was working on a new design-- i bet it will be sweat

right now i just carry this with me

5 cartos 2 batts a charger, and a portable power pack (1000 mah) for charging away from a usb port
photo1.jpg

(don't carry that ce2 with me its just in the pix from my trying out phase)
fits in my pocket perfect!!

but i can't wait for si to finish a complete pcc

one that can hold batts, carts, and charge, enough to last me all day.

I've used Riva and other manual batteries since March before I discovered Volt. These are my first auto batteries and I much prefer them. One difference is my juice seems to go a lot farther than it does in the manual. I guess I hold the button too long or something but I can empty a carto pretty fast on the manual with no noticeable increase in satisfaction. The Riva manuals are 3.7 volts so the voltage is close to the same. I like the manual when a carto starts getting near the end of its useful life because I can preheat the coil before I vape which I do until it's empty cause I'm a cheapskate when it comes to wasting juice. I've gone through the tank stage as well as vertical coil cartos and noticed when I got a liquid taste it was often a result of condensation mixed with juice from chain vaping or pulling to hard on the draw, producing more than neccesary heat. Easy does it for me but I still occasionally get carried away. I keep one of the manuals on my desk with an adaptor but they sit there for the most part. I also keep a 3.2 volt battery there for some of the fruit flavors. Grape, melon and nilla taste better cooler to me. I'll probably pick up a couple of Volt manuals eventually and stuff those two in the drawer with the rest just to keep everything I'm using uniform with chargers, cases etc. These are just my opinions and experiences. Ymmv.

Just my :2c:: I agree with "Imagine" and based on my limited experience with both the manual and auto  . . . They both do "hiss" a little for me View attachment 50247, however I do find that the manuals I have do "hiss" every-time I used them and sometimes I also get a "bigger" hit of vapor with them - which I like :) . . .

Now with that said, remember I'm new to this and I have not been using my PV as often as most people here . . . Also, there is the fact that I just had both manuals exchanged, because what I believed to be "miss-firing" . . . So take my experience with a "Hugh" grain of salt - not the absolute truth or everyones else's experience . . . :D

Did I put that in the proper context for you  . . . just wondering if the information was helpful . . .:)

Thank you Wuzznt Me, good to know that you prefer the Volt auto's over the other brands manuals. That answered a question I had been wondering about, especially since my only good experience with vaping to date has been with a Volt Auto. I kept reading on other threads (mainly in the new members forum) where people were recommending manual batts over auto batts because of the better performance and sealed batt. All I have is Volt Autos and just assumed that Volt Autos are newer tech autos and maybe just as good as other branded manuals, performance wise. So from what you wrote I assumed right. I have been using Volt Auto's and filling cartos for 8 weeks with no leaks so for me I think it's going to come down to performance and if I like the button or not. I hadn't seen anyone comparing Volt Manual to Volt Autos performance wise, so I was curious on that and am now going buy one to find out if I like it any better or not.

If you want to see some of the info I got from the new member forum look up post #2276 on this thread. It wasn't bad info and got me off analogs without making the mistakes of the ripoff websites and mall kiosks. I was doing ok with my old stuff but the vaping experience became simpler and a lot more enjoyable when I decided to give SI and the Volt a try. From the equipment right down to the juices.

I read post #2276. Thank you, thank you. I started with the Joye 510, then went to the 510-T, then to the eGo-T. But something was still missing. I kept seeing the discussions about the Volt and finally decided I had to try it. Yesterday my kit came and I'm as happy as can be. I was beginning to feel kind of weird for not liking the bigger ecigs, but I get more satisfaction out of the Volt. Plus it's simple to use and just feels more comfortable, if that makes sense.

I haven't tried their juices. When I place my next order I'll have to do that.
