The "offending" post was mine.
No animosity was intended with the aforementioned post.
However, i would like to say a couple things on the topic.
"Uncle" has not said much since the post. If this indicates that he is not wanting to be active in the thread, then i apologize. If this is the case, it was not intended.
I have no reason to try to send him packing. I have nothing against anyone on this forum.
However, i will be honest...
Yes, the post was intended to amuse. But to be completely truthful, i cannot even read Uncle's posts. They do not give me a literal "headache", but i skip right over them and move to the next post when i see them. I highly doubt i am the only one.
He has every right to use as many hundreds of smileys as he wants to. I never once asked him or anyone else not to.
Conversely, I do not have to read those posts. This sort of thing stopped amusing me years ago.
...but this is the internet! this is the beauty of it. Uncle and i do not have to agree on the topic. I do not want you to stop posting in this thread.
I have not heard from him on the topic, but his absence gives me the feeling that i indeed did offend him.
Again, this is the internet... people are going to disagree. You have to have a moderately thick skin! You cannot be easily offended.
So Uncle, if i offended you, i am sorry.
