Hi Cisme, I'm new to the Volt and this thread too. I got my first order a couple of weeks ago and it was everything I hoped it would be. Since then I've placed three more orders, if that tells you anything! LOL

Ha ha - That says it all! Once you try the Volt, other things gather dust and ya need more Volt stuff! That sure has been my experience too.

I also stopped reading Uncle's posts some time ago. Fact is I skim many posts that are more social than informative. That doesn't mean I disapprove of these social posts ... just different strokes for different folks. Personally, I only apologize when I feel that I have purposely offended someone. Otherwise, we waste a lot time apologizing for unintended offenses. I see no intent to offend on your part. On the other hand, maybe I'm just not sensitive enough.

The "offending" post was mine.
No animosity was intended with the aforementioned post.

However, i would like to say a couple things on the topic.

"Uncle" has not said much since the post. If this indicates that he is not wanting to be active in the thread, then i apologize. If this is the case, it was not intended.
I have no reason to try to send him packing. I have nothing against anyone on this forum.

Hello to everyone! Finally, I have placed my first order! I have been following this thread for several thousand posts because I'm curious and you all have a lot of fun here. I missed the last sale waiting on a friend to decide if he should give vaping a chance. He may or may not but I'm not waiting any longer - I will happily assist him if he decides yes.

I even ordered the Smooth Sampler although I haven't liked any tobaccos so far. But, after listening to everyone....I just had to know for myself.

BTW,, thought I killed a batt. I screwed a flooded carto on and the battery drank it up
All it did was flash and soon quit all together so from the battery connection, I dipped it 1/2 inch inisopropyl alcohol for about ten minutes. Then I had tossed it in a sock and literally wrecked my shoulder swinging it around to empty out the battery. Then I twisted up some cleanex and pushed it in the center contact hole just like SteelJan did in her vid and left it n upside down for 2 hours.
Working like new again!!

I have an iMac and have never had a problem using the code. I use a FireFox browser, and may have even used Safari. Not 100% sure about the latter.

Well that's good to hear. I should have tried doing it on my Mac when I placed an order this morning, but I forgot. I'll try to remember it for when the Hint Mint cartos arrive.

I hardly think that in person we would tell someone, you are free to join our conversation but we will ignore every thing you say.

Will this work for Mac computers, too? Last time, when I tried the HEATWAVE code, it didn't take. When I contacted the company, they said they hadn't set it up for Mac computers, so they gave me the discount, but it would be nice if this worked and I didn't have to call to get it.

I'm on a mac and had no problem.
Powerbook G4, OS 10.4.11 (jurassic mac)
...but didn't have any problem with the "heatwave" one either...

I was wondering if something like that would work if one got juice in it. I haven't had the misfortune yet but I'm sure it's inevitable. I was going to try something similar when I get a batt I've got nothing to lose with. I'm glad you were succesful.

With me, I like holding it the way I used to hold an analog. It doesn't feel as natural with the 78's as it does with the 65 autos.

I've been using my original 65 more and more lately; i kind of got away from it, but since one is lost (did I mention it has a brand new carto full of delicious liquid with a green end cap with it at least 6 six times? grrr) and one is dead, I have had to break out all backups, and you know, it really is great for hands-free or a more stealthy vape. It's not that much lighter, but it makes a big difference when it's hanging out of my mouth while I wave my arms around and rant about stuff.

I may have to pick up a few more 65s if I have any money left after boots....

The way I've handled this a few times is to just put that person on the Ignore list, which hides their posts. You can see they made one, just not the contents. And you can choose to display the contents individually if needed.

And on that note: I would like to clear the air and settle this once and for all, especially - who knew my leaving the SI Thread for a little while would cause all this “DRAMA.” More importantly, so everyone can get back to Talking about SI, their “Volt”, having more “Stuff,” what they want (particularly – all the “HINTING” so subtlety for more SI “Stuff”), Sharing Information with each other (no matter what it is or even if another supplier has it), and finally having FUN! ! ! !

YES – FUN . . . because it seems to me that this is one of the very few if any of the “suppliers” threads where we can actually participate with each other in a friendly manner and in humorous ways – even if we sometimes disagree with each other and are have differing opinions – too.

What is important, is that “Imagine” has allowed US all a lot of leeway (especially me getting carried away with the “emoticons” – she could have “BANNED” me a long time ago for even more major supplier‘s rule infraction {I think that is what they are called} that other people here have pointed out to me and not so nicely either), and has at times even encouraged US to make comments, not only for and about SI & The Volt, but to have conversations with each other about other “Stuff.” IMHO – “Imagine” has created a more than just a “Suppliers Thread”, but a social group that I have enjoyed being a part of here.

Now, with that being said, I do not want to either take up any more space or time of the SI Thread . . . So if you are at all interested, in what I have to say about the post and my reaction further, I created blog and have written an entry to “clearify” stuff . . . so go there to read it . . .
