One thing that is becoming evident is there is change in the e-cig industry inevitable and we need to stand up for our rights at every turn. Our freedoms are under constant attack on many different levels in America and it's all about greed and people trying to impose their agenda on everyone else from smoking to gun rights as well as many other freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution.

I totally agree!!!!!!! I was just saying there are different sides to the story of taxing, it is more complicated then if they get taxed or not
I oppose taxing ecigs and products, but our eyes need to be opened and not only on one side of an issue.

And I totally agree with that. If it weren't for the tax money tobacco would have been outlawed long ago along with maryjane and other things. Smoking is the only thing I know of in this country that when used as intended is both legal and lethal.

The vapin' pup is great!! *still grinning*

One way that y'all might consider to ease the inevitable tax crush issue is DIY'ing your own nicquids. Unless they start taxing the equipment which doesn't seem likely (they don't tax pipes or cigarette lighters), then all you'd have to pay tax on is nicquid. I really don't think that they will tax the liquid nicotine used to make the nicquid (but they might). I only hope and pray that I can learn to duplicate SI's RY4, New Grape, Classic Grape, and Watermelon before then. :nun: Before I joined the SI bandwagon, I was DIY'ing ALL of my nicquids.

Rave....yep, you're right this tax would include the liquid nicotine for DIY, and I don't put it past them to include pipes and such....they are not taxed right now, cause they are not "cigarette" related....cigars and pipe tobacco is not taxed yet like ciggies are, but will be with this law.

Amy darlin....if you're thinking the tax will prevent bans...check out NYC....you cannot smoke in ANY public place...no parks, nothing. Individual states and cities will still be able to ban ecigs. And it's not just Cleveland stadium that has banned any smoking anywhere....not in bars, not even PRIVATE clubs.....

My biggest issue with this is that it is being buried in a bill that has absolutely nothing to do with smoking....the same crap smoke and mirror show that capitol hill has become known for anymore....and the fact they are wanting to (right off the bat) tax at a higher rate than the cigs are currently taxed and then increase it EVERY year! They have no clue how to manage money to begin with and have dug themselves in such a hole, they are trying to rape the public in any way they can to try and get out! I'm tired of the sneaky antics and only certain populations getting nailed, scorned, and brutally attacked. Oh...and once it passes federally...hold on to your seats, cause the states are next.

:facepalm:The ONLY reason why this would be good, about the taxes...please dont hate me for saying that PLEASE...but then, we may have a chance that the fear of banning the ecig and ejuice all together may not be such an issue as it has been. i dont want to be taxed for ecigs BUT, if they tax it then we dont have to worry so much about bans...it is just a thought with NO knowledge of how anything works...but it makes sence that they wouldnt want to get rid of something they may tax :vapor:......
I would really appreciate if people dont get all over my .... for saying this..it is just a brainstorming thought
Good Day Voltans..less then 24 hours and i can order..WOOT

I think you can add alcohol to that list.

How about taxes AND bans? Cities ALREADY ban and tax analogs and lump e-cigs right in with the ban on analogs. I believe we need to take a stand SOMEwhere.

At least you are thinking about the problem. :) So many seem to have the idea if they just ignore it, it will go away or don't even realize there IS a problem.

Thanks for your recognition and thoughts. :thumb: Vape on! :smokie:

I was a somoker too..and yes I have suffered, being in chicago area, the rediculous taxes on cigarettes and yes I understand that taxing ecigs would most likely get out of control....the other side....if there are bans and such like that and that gets out of control...we loose on the ecig.....no win situation...which is the lesser of the two evils :vapor:

I think you may have a point. Money talks.

unfortunatly, that is the way it is with a lot...NRTs are proven not to be very effective (7% if lucky are able to quit that way) but they are encouraged even if it is a fail for most people who want to quit because peoples pockets get lined with cash from them. My hubby is one of the lucky few who quit smoking 6 yrs ago with the nic gum...very proud of him.
