Howdy everybody
I just gotta say... MAN is it hard to keep up with this thread once you get behind
Labor Day weekend in the Windy city without even turning on the computer and then a week in Indy for work with so-so internet. I feel like I've spent over a week trying to catch back up but every time I get here there's 20 new pages
But I can say my Volt rose to the challenge wonderfully and I passed my 6 week anniversary while traveling. I could tell when my PV gear was passing thru the TSA scanner
but had no troubles or extra screening requests. Which included flying out of Chicago on 9.11....
Anywho, glad SteelJan didn't have to tear apart her car

You know what looks really fabulous? A black battery with a GREEN LED!!
(Perhaps this black could come in a velvety, rubberized finish like the blue and red batts . . .

Most had never heard of them! The few who had didn't understand exactly what they were. Some even thought they had tobacco in them!
What was really sad were the ones who's only experience with them were with over-priced Mall kiosks and convenience store junk. One had paid $199.00 about 6 or 7 months ago for a Blu-Tip!!! When I told everyone what I paid for my Volt no one could believe it!
That is the thing that gets to me. All these high-priced pieces of crap that is being sold are destroying the reputation of E-Cigs!!

I'm new to both this thread AND ECF, and no offense to all you ladies here,....but why all the chit chat on this thread? I am a guy, and maybe I just don't get it, but shouldn't this thread be more for informational purposes instead of, "Hi, how've you been?". 171 pages since May, and from the 10 or so pages I've read of it, there's a lot of........."fluff"....to wade through. Once again though, no offense to all you ladies.
That being said, I'm new to the World of vaping and also to the Volt. I am really loving it so far, and haven't smoked since. However, I am having a couple of annoying issues. Mainly, each "drag" seems to take longer than I would like it to before I get enough vapor to satisfy me.......and still even at that....I don't really feel the nicotine hit like I used to even from smoking Light cigs (which is what I smoked). I bought some of the blank cartomizers at the same time I ordered my kit, and have been refilling those the past two weekends (which is the only time I smoke/vape), with some juice I got from MadVapes. Started out the weekend before last using 16mg strength, then bought some in 24mg the next week.....couldn't tell much difference. Love those flavors I found though, I just wish I could get this experience completely dialed in to my liking.
Anybody got any recommendations on different cartomizers, attys, etc. that might work better for me with the Volt? I did try a Smok Tech 901 Black Atomizer 2.5ohm with a drip tip I also bought there, but from my experience with it last weekend, I kinda felt like the blank carts from SI might actually work as good.....or better than that atty did.

Hi Cosmic and welcome to the thread, sorry so much to wade through but many of us subscribed to this thread on the day it was started and I think a lot of us like each other so we tend to rattle on a little but we will always be here to try to answer your questions
I however, only vape Volt stuff and I am to understand that the carto/battery set up together gives optimal performance of both; but I'm sure someone with more experience will chime in to help you dial in your experience! I just re-upped my nic levels from 12 back to 18 - I cut down too soon and got grumpy. I have been satisfied and able to stay off analogs with just the Volt batteries and hoards of blank cartos but everyone's experience varies and I'm not too new to vaping to know that!
I do find that I need to take fairly long drags, I am not satisfied as much if I try to power-sneak one in here and there as if I go and sit and "have a smoke", as it were, so I hear ya there.

Dude... don't blame all the chit chat on the ladies - there are plenty of guys here that are guilty of fluff.
Can't help ya with the atty question though - I like the fact I don't have to fuss around with these things. But maybe you could add some VG to your juices to give it more vapor if that's what you're after. And for me there are phases I've gone thru where nothing seems to satisfy, then a week later everything is fine, then my favorite flavor is tasteless, etc. etc. It might just be part of the journey for the first 6 months while our taste buds and systems adjust.

Vaping still cannot exactly replicate a cigarette in experience ...yet....in terms of quickness - taking a strong short pull that has lots of vapor and throat hit.
The VOLT comes very close with its size/throat hit/and vapor....but not length of time needed on the draw...
that being said .... as you continue on your vaping journey you do get used to it fairly quickly...within a month it will begin to feel natural....and you will have mastered the art of the vape smooth long slow drags... letting it build up in your mouth or throat then inhaling all at once...seems to be the trick.
This is not something that is individual to you....if you look at all the review videos in post #2 of this thread you will see all the expert vapors take very long hits to the point of cutoff on the battery.... this is just vaping
As you are still very new... let me put this bluntly you are in withdrawl from cigarettes...period. You are not on withdrawl from nicotine, but you are on withdrawl from the other 4000 chemicals in cigarettes.... it is these chemicals that create the woozy relaxed feeling when you smoke...so an ecig will never really give you that same effect...you sort of have to accept that and move on and know that you won't be a crazy person during the transition because you are still getting that nicotine.
Some people move to mods with higher voltages... this really just produces more vapor (and can give you very long battery life).... but it moves away from the feeling/action of smoking and holding it between your fingers ....etc... some people do find more satisfaction with more vapor (however drags will still take a long time)... (if I was to recommend one mod vendor it would be altsmoke.com great company)
In the end I think it is more mental then anything... vaping is not smoking ...it will never feel exactly the same nor taste exactly the same...and without all the chemicals you will never have the same physical satisfaction.
But once you accept and embrace that.... I think you will find you like vaping better...
The further you get from tobacco cigs.... the easier it is to let go of them and embrace vaping...
