OH YES! I forgot about The Ring! What a brilliant movie that was! And Paranormal Activity (the first one) had me looking behind me when I climbed stairs too. Dave and I are probably going to watch the second one tonight or tomorrow night.

How did I miss seeing Paranormal Activity? Just checked NetFlix and I can stream it, so will watch it tonight.

A movie I really enjoyed was Meet Joe Black. Not quite a paranormal, more of a romantic fantasy. Both Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt are in it.....my kind of movie!

And they say the cities are dangerous lol
The older ya get, the harder you are to scare. I've survived some crazy things in my lifetime including being clawed by a bear, treed by a moose, canoeing with alligators (and one of the canoes was rammed and sunk), a tornado in a tent, and being robbed at gunpoint. Movie willies just aren't that hard to handle anymore.

But - big spiders can make me scream like a little girl and dance exotic dances.

Dont be scarerted :)

In all seriousness I havent seen a movie that scared me in years since The original exorcist back when i was just a little lad.

Altho the Ring was just creepy not scary ..at least it was to me

That's pretty much me as well. Unfortunately many "scary" movies run on a cheesy to cheap thrills scale, with good ones possibly hitting creepy from time to time. And agree, the Exorcist is possibly the only movie I can say had the ability to flat out scare me. Hence my being much more likely to be interested in mental instability or psychological thriller movies; those are the ones most likely to give me chills because it is dealing with something extremely deep that may very well be in each and everyone of us.

Okay, and I already take that back... Jaws scared the crud out of me!

Me, too. I couldn't sleep at all that night, and I earned a new respect for the ocean that hasn't gone away in the 32 years since I first saw that movie. God, I can't believe it's been that long since the movie came out!

anything quentin tarantino for me, thanks, I love his work, I think he's the absolute master of the soundtrack. I loved Pulp Fiction, Four Rooms, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, Jackie Brown.....I'm a fan.

Okay, how can you mention Tarantino and not mention his best movie; True Romance!

I mean sure, he merely wrote the screenplay and Tony Scott technically directed it; but!!!

The Walken/Hopper ("eggplant/cantaloupe") scene alone is the single best thing he has ever done in my opinion... And talk about a cast - Slater, Arquette, Oldman, Kilmer, Sizemore, Penn, Gandolfini - its even got Balci! Unbelievable cast for a fantastic movie.

Plus, Brad Pitt as "Floyd" just cant be beat.

Wow, Rave! That's pretty freakin' scary!!! Spiders don't usually bother me unless they are thick or exotic looking. But Texas cockroaches and anything that flies at me sends me running.
