Nice to meet you too!
Our pine trees don't do that. Down here we believe that show is a myth that people north of Dallas use to get out of having to go to work. I can't imagine snow like that for days on end. Then again, most of you can't imagine boarding up the windows every time there's a storm in the gulf, right Uncle....

LOL! Ours don't very often either, at least not that fancy. I was like a little kid that day, running around the yard snapping pics.

I lived in Seabrook for a time - just after Alicia - so I got to see some of the unique beauty down that way. Never saw such flowers in my life, growing on every roadside and unplowed field.

I agree . . .

However as for the "Storms" here in the South . . . No worry for me - live in an "pre-war" type apartment complex that supposedly doesn't need to be "Boarded-up" at all . . .

AND asfor "snow" - I've only live here in Florida for the past 8 years and I have to go North about every 6 weeks, so I still get to see/feel the View attachment 58844 & View attachment 58843 . . .

Oh nooo - Not THAT again. But I guess it's better than what I've had stuck in my head. If any of you watch The Big Bang Theory, it's the Sheldon lullaby. "Soft kitty, warm kitty ... etc." So cloyingly annoying! So my evil son but together a little 3 picture montage, and put it on my Desktop as a joke. *little snot* It cycles three pictures if ya wait a couple of seconds:

I Think - NO - I know - I like "Dave" . . . ;)

I'm the Jay Lenno of SI.
Hey, your avi bird... is that the Cardinals? It looks like thier logo. well, not really but if you squint really hard.
Nope, Angry Birds! (mobile video game). I've been sporting different Halloween masks lately (trick or treating on the thread) and for some odd reason, this one's this year's hottest costume...

And yes, you truly are the Jay Leno of SI - missed you! :)

You've got to be View attachment 58799 Just like the "Fred'ies" . . . View attachment 58800

NOPE - Not for me . . . Movies like those are without-a-doubt "Slashers" :nah:

no, not nuts - odd. Remember? :( hahaha

Anyway, I don't remember them that well as its been quite a while, but I thought they were waaaaaay more gory, psychotic/perverted art-films with very little, to no, real "slasher" quality other then the gore they had in common. Have to admit, I only remembered them at all because of his mention of Clive's clear big slasher flick (Candyman) though, so obviously didn't make too much of an impression other then being very different in the "horror" genre of their time.

Now kind of curious about them, and might have to at least check out the first one again.

NICE CATCH ! ! ! View attachment 58796

Both good movies . . . :D
AND how about the "Lost Boys" . . .View attachment 58797

Yeah, really surprises me we not only missed Gremlins and Goonies, but wow - also Lost Boys!!! We are obviously not that hot at this if we miss such classics!

Yep - I remember . . . "You're" ODD alright, but that's in other's "eyes" - My list of adjectives about who you are is to long to repeat - "Pan" . . . :D

AND as for those movies being "Classic" - Sorry to say Not Yet . . . :glare:

However, very enjoyable and IMO - will eventually become true "Classics" . . . :2cool:

Oh hahaha, yeah I meant that more tongue-in-cheek. I mean, they can definitely hit the "best of the genre the 80s can offer", but those on that list don't generally get high on an all-time scale either imo :)

LMAO, I know exactly what you mean about having that song stuck. That little ball of fur picture is purrrrfect.

Sorry Vapian sir, will correct the op then. Ms. Steeljan that would be Sweden not Denmark. Big difference between the black metal bands of those countries.

As for scary films, they usually come off as comedies to me. An American Haunting was scary.... Scary how they could butcher the story of the Bell Witch and turn it into a message film. Mercyful Fate's (they are Danish) 4 minute song "The Bell Witch" had more real facts from the story than that awful movie....
