On Volt blank cartos............... is there really any advantage to blank cartos, compared to some free juice in em?

If you switch juice, can't you just clean em and start anew? I've read that mostly PG juice cleans well, but I could be wrong.
Not everybody likes to clean. Plus, if you have a flavor that you really wanna fill these with, that wait between cleaning and drying can seem like forevvver...but I'm with you on the free juice! And yes, they clean out quite nicely! :)

Hey all,

Since Imagine mentioned earlier she did not mind discussions of other vendors, thought I might post this here.

I started a thread in the "Request for opinions/review" thread the other day (looking for new liquid I may love :) ), but although there has been 50 views, I've had no love.

Was wondering if some of you could go look. It's a bit verbose, so maybe that is a prob, or maybe it's just no one who's looked can help based on what I asked. At any rate, If some of you could go take a look I'd be very grateful, I did mention in the thread that I mostly use volt 808s.

Here's the link:

Thanks so much in advance!

I read your thread and my "go to" anymore is Volt batteries and cartos with Gooey Butter Cake from Vapelicious. It took me over a year to find something that I dearly love. I've been vaping this for the past few months and don't tire of it. I just bought 10 30-ml bottles :vapor: You mention the pepper taste. I've heard suggested that you take the cap off for a few days and some report that steeping that way helps.

Interesting to hear how other courts operate. That's a long questionnaire - ours is one page, pretty basic information. Never heard any of our attorneys ask a juror what they did in their spare time. A 10 day trial would be a felony or maybe even federal case and a fairly big one, from the sounds of it. We've had murder cases that didn't go on that long.

Well there was a 1-page one when we first show up in the morning - asking how many days our employer pays for jury duty, or if we had a hardship excuse for not being able to serve - like being sole caretaker of family member, or medical reasons, etc. And you probably missed earlier that this is about someone accused of molesting 2 little girls. Just what I need to put me in the holiday spirit.

Thanks anyway for looking sweetie, You're still loved here :p)

Esoterica i didn'nt forget you, i went and had a read but cant help ya. Have'nt ordered from most of those vendors, so cant really comment on any similarity's we may have, and any suggestions i might make might just turn into a throw around on cash for more juice, which wouldn'nt be ideal. I'm sure another voltie will step in when they wake up ;)

Yes, and also the leaving to steep several months :). But I DO dearly love the tobacco taste I get from Vaperite....haven't found it anywhere else so far :(

Back to my passthrough.............. love it, but it does seem like I'm smokin my computer.:p

I hope you're not running your passthrough on your computer's USB connection. Your computer really isn't designed to deliver as much power to its USB connectors as the passthrough will pull from it. Best to use a USB hub that is rated to deliver 2Amps or more. But yeah, ain't that passthrough sweet?!!

P.S. Welcome to all the new faces, er, typefaces. Seems everytime I drop into the SI forum thread, there's so many new folks. Woo-hoo!!! Welcome!!

I think that another reason the Mega PCC is being discontinued is because of its poor charging performance. See steeljan's Channel - YouTube. Before you jump on me as a SI basher, remember Steeljan has consistently praised the Volt as the best PV on the market.

I came across this video while I was researching the Volt. I am someone who has a ton of mods and am looking for a simpler method of vaping while I am out and about. Any advice from Volt owners about the best package and/or combo of parts to buy as an intro to Volt vaping would be appreciated.

Totally no SI bashing from me. Just anything I review or comment on, you're always going to get my honest opinion, along with a lot of boring data (sorry, can't help it with all the data, lol).

As for what to get for a first-time Volt user, I'd suggest 3 batteries so you always have a charged one at hand, your pick of a wall charger for them (please get it from SI too so you'll know the charging current is adequate), at least one pack of cartos, and a 30ml bottle of the same flavor so you can keep the cartos nice and wet. My experience has been that as long as I keep a carto juiced-up and never vape it totally dry, these buggers last a couple of weeks without needing cleaning or anything. After that, I could clean 'em and keep on using them, but feel I've gotten my money's worth by that point. The sampler packs are great if you totally don't know which flavor you're going to like.

P.S. Since you said you have a ton of mods, you might enjoy my latest modding adventure, built a Scubagen atty mod, the video is up on my youtube channel as well as posted in these forums under modding. Sure made me appreciate my Volt even more, LOL!!

I've been using the same carto since Aug on the one I put Halo Prime in (first juice I ever got as a liquid)...and I vape it every day. I just keep putting a few drops in as needed. I expect (and usually manage) to get at least a month out of even the most difficult juice. My eco pure is going on 3 months and I have a few more in that time range.

I Love vaporite extracted juices, but they're a little hard on the cartos. I only get a month out of those till they need cleaning.

Thanks for the advice. I think I will go small to start as you suggest. Maybe just a battery (78mm, maybe an auto for a change) and some cartos. However, since I have a ton of juice (BWB, AV and Vaperite for the win) already I think I will just go w/the blank cartos.

BTW, whatcha' sailin' there Camp43?

UPDATE:
Never mind, saw your profile. I'm on the Cruiser's Forum under the same name. She was a lovely Lady. Too bad you had to swallow the hook. :(
All good things could come around again though!!!

Hi Steeljan, Thanks for the advice. I have been enjoying your videos for a long time. Back a couple of months ago your review of the Helix cleared up the premature death of several IMR High Drain batteries and resulted in my getting a very nice Pila charger for my mod batteries. I also checked out your vid on the Scubagen. "Very interesting" as Arte Johnson used to say on Laugh In (you probably aren't old enough to get this reference though). Giant clearomizer (shudder) indeed. Those things turned me off of cartos for a long time (I still have boxes of those and their Ce2 ancestors in my drawer).

Which leads me back to the Volt (this is a Volt thread after all lol). A non-fiddly carto with good taste and vapor sounds like a dream come true. I am going to go ahead an order a battery and some cartos to try. I do have one last question before I do.

Does the USB charger do a good job of charging up the Volt batteries or should I order the wall wart charger also?
