Happy New Year Everyone!!!

I have an 11th New Year's vaping resolution about which I feel so strongly, and can only post 10 in the contest so here:

Generate more buzz about SmokelessImage's incredibly delightful offering appropriately named "Freedom" - taste may be subjective - but .... ahhhh, sweet nectar of life, at last I've found you ;-)

I vaped some Desert Joe last night for the first time - I liked it! Tastes like a mild RY4. :)

It is our tradition to shut down power and lights at the stroke of midnight in order to start New Year fresh! It is only for a moment and then we turn it back on. Unfortunately, elevators sometimes need a reset in order to function properly again :)
As for the phone calls, you couldn't call home because another tradition is for everyone to call their beloved ones and wish Happy New Year to them...For an hour or an hour and a half after midnight, it is really very difficult to call someone because all lines are really very-very overloaded!
As for the bartender, I guess he wasn't much of a professional! Another tradition is for everyone to have a glass of champagne on the house and to party until daybreak! He should at least open the champagne for you and for all the other customers before his departure!

Thanks for the reply, FaniFox. It sounds like things may have changed a little since 1986--- that was 25 years ago. The hotel manager told me I could make a local call because they were automated, but long distance required an operator and they all went home at midnight. So I asked him why the automatic elevators were turned off. The reason was in case the elevator got stuck, none of the repairmen would be working till Jan. 2nd. lol At that time New Year's Day was a big holiday and almost everyone was off work that day. This was a small hotel bar and the only customers were me and the two Australian girls I hung out with on the tour. The tour being a bus tour of Classical Greece that I took while I was there.

I spent two weeks there, part on the mainland and part on Rhodes, and loved every minute of it. Everyone I met there was so friendly and very nice to me.

It's really funny how two people will get something COMPLETELY different from a flavor. To me they are worlds apart. RY4 is one of my favs, but DJ tastes like old dirt. Not fresh dirt mind you. I may get a sampler so I can try Freedom, even though it also comes with the dreaded DJ.

I like DJ better than RY4, so I wish we were closer, and we could trade. I haven't tried Freedom, since when I bought samplers, it was always in the other one. I'm not sure I want to buy 5 without knowing how it tastes. To me, RY4 tastes something like I'd imagine pipe tobacco would be.

Sydney sure knows how to rock the place, although us melbournians had a pretty good show as well.

2011 New Year Melbourne Mid Night Fireworks - YouTube

Your County and so many others can hold their own when it comes to New Years Eve Celebrations - I think they could even be put up to any of Our USA July 4th Celebrations - But "We" might still beat ya's

All Joking aside - the Fireworks displays were Absolutely Fantastic ! ! ! NICE - Goin' Downunder ! ! !

AND - A Happy New Years Day to Everyone . . .

I Hope Your Festivies went well and everyone and their families are - SAFE SOUND AND SECURE ! ! ! :D
