Struggling with my decision to post about my ex & "his addiction" so i've pm'd u instead.
Much love & support, keep ur family close , know that you are trying to help her but ultimately your in the hardest spot to be in. She will need to want the help before she can help herself. Sometimes interventions & hospitalizations are neccesary( but only they last so long before they are released) Do what you need to, to protect your valuables, sorry trying not to sound scary, but things will go missing if they haven'nt already. Here for a chat & support if you need it. Hugs

Here, there, everywhere!
I have outted her to her family (they were not that great in the past anyway that's why she ended up here) looks like I'm going to have to let her go and change the locks on my house... She keeps wanting to go back to wherever she's been the last 4 days. I guess my priority is me and my partner now

Yes - bless you for what you have tried to do for this girl but you can't go down with her. You have tried to help, something many wouldn't do.

Tough love is what they call (and I do believe you have a big spot in your heart for her)!

So one more + for us, heard this morning that multiple studies have been done that show nicotine helps slow memory loss. They said not to pick up cigarette but lozenges, patches and gum would be the source of choice - AND E-CIGS I told them, but I don't think they heard me in the car:(

Bit behind, but just saw "The Tourist" last week, was surprised and a bit pleased to see Johnny Depp vaping an ecig...he even explained what it was! And turns out it was a great part of a plot twist at the end:)

Interesting! You know they do that in movies all the time. For instance, Coke pays them something to show the actors drinking Coke. It's subtle advertising, and I bet it works quite well if you see the same product over an over again. Still, if I didn't know about e-cigs or if I wasn't paying close attention, I'd probably just assume she was smoking an analog. How much do you think the general populace knows about e-cigs? I had never heard of them till one day someone suggested i look into them. Then I Googled them, and here I am. But nonsmokers probably have no curiosity about them, and many smokers may never have heard of them. Even if they did, many people are so set in their ways that they wouldn't be the first of their friends to try something new.

I don't watch shows on TV, so I have no idea how often they are mentioned, though here I've heard of some times when they have been mentioned in the media. What do you all think? Does the common person on the street even know what an e-cig is? I know my brother didn't till I showed him mine.

Hello All! Just got home from being gone for the weekend and found a little package waiting for me! Laura, you ROCK! Thanks SO much for the USB charger! Now, to report on my Hubby's VOLT experience! Since they came fully charged, he's not had to charge anything all weekend (I bought him 5 batteries). He said some SUPER exciting things:

3. He's on the lookout for a nice, smooth aromatic "pipe tobbaco" juice or VOLT compatible pre-filled carto. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks for everything!

Can't really comment on the coffee, as I've not tried that particular brand you spoke of. But I LOVE a good, REAL tobacco vape. Not necessarily the manufactured juices that often use tobacco absolute (which I mostly dislike), though there are a few out there that I very much like, such as www.Halocig.com Prime and Tribeca (the last like a ry4, the former a very nice vape w/great analog behavior), I also have not tried the SI Juices (sorry Imagine) as I've gotten so picky (but may try at some point).

What I DO Love as true tobacco vapes are the tobacco extracted juices. One vender that I love is vaperite.com, Natural and Organic Vape e cigarette Juices, If hubby is looking for a pipe tobacco taste, start here. The House extracted, APV Organic and Perique are 3 of my favs. The perique may be closest to a pipe tobacco flavor for him. They have a kona cream which is a coffee (with cream) vape that is very good...and they always give you a free 3ml sample, of your choice, with every bottle purchased.

I've also heard good things about want2vape Premium USA E Liquid, the vapenstien blends may be what he's looking for as Vapenstien is a pipe smoker, so developed juices to match that experience (also cigar).

Vapenstien is also a good place to check reviews, I learned alot from that site...even though our tastes don't always agree, I learned of some of my fav juices from that site (be warned he can be a bit technical, but not overwhelmingly so). vapenstein dot com (ecf keeps erasing the website link :(.

| GoodEjuice.com also does extracted juices (also called macerated), and just put in an order for some so can't comment yet.

www.primevaping also has some, and I've tried a few, but only one so far was a winner for me. Nostalgia which has a coca flavor to it, and their PV4 (a ry4) is also good, just not as good as vaperite's. VR4 for me.

Hope this helps!:vapor:

MegaBee, you have a heart of gold! The problem is the girl has not recognized that she has a problem yet, has not hit rock bottom where she has to decide whether she wants to recover or continue destroying herself.

I agree with the others here, you need to think of yourself and your partner. You are running a real risk of being drug down financially and emotionally by the girl. When the person you are trying to help is not trying to help herself and wishes to continue drugging herself, it's time to back away. I know it's hard, but we sometimes have to do these hard things.

Good luck to you in handling it. And if you cut her loose, don't feel guilty about it. You have done much more than most people would ever do. God bless you for trying to help her.

Question for everyone. As far as I can see SI is all PG juice. Is that what everyone uses - I've only had the SI juices (cartos) and it seems great to me but was thinking of trying another juice for comparison and wondered if I should stick with all PG or get an 80/20 blend.
Thanks

Thanks everyone. I'm very frustrated at the moment the girl is hooked and had been able to hide her drug use for 8mths until yesterday. This is because she always went away to use it she would lie to me about where she was and who she was with. Bearing in mind she's 18 and not my child there was not a lot I can do. Even today while I got the run around all day people telling me oh u need to call these guys then u call that number and they say sorry she's an adult we will only talk to her... She talks to them hangs up and tells me she isn't bad enough for detox and rehab is a last resort.... We will call you tomorrow with a case worker.... Meanwhile I gotta wonder as soon as I go back to work she's back at wherever she was before (yeah with possibly half of my valuables) back on ice/..... I'm scared for her and myself. My partner doesn't want her here and I can't throw her out but she's not hit rock bottom enough for rehab? Meh short of her walking into some hospital yelling admit me or I'm going to kill myself she's pretty much on her own

I agree with Sherlock and your partner -- throw her out. You are only enabling her by allowing it to happen. If you throw her out, she'll hit rock bottom and then maybe seek help. As long as you are protecting her, she may go on like that till it's too late. I know it's hard and seems cruel, but she will steal from you and may become violent, too. You don't need to put yourself and your family in danger.

I use an 80/20 blend, works really well with the cartos.

Actually I like a little more VG because it seems to be a bit sweeter and produces more vapor. Although, the higher the VG ratio, the less throat hit you seem to get. AND it seems to clog up your cartos faster. For the nicquids that I make, I don't go for more than 20% VG.

Apparently we are not the only species that stalks the mailman. My carrier had to drive in to my property and up to the house because the package he had for me was too big for the mailbox. Lexi had been snoring away in her crate (which was not shut). As soon as I opened the door she came flying out of the bedroom and out the door. She just about ripped my arm out of the socket when I grabbed her collar, but she succeeded in her escape .... and jumped right into the mailman's truck!! He just cracked up laughing, but I reallllly need to train her ASAP. Funny thing: The package was from PetSmart, and full of toys and treats for her.

It take a bit of patience, but anytime the doorbell rings, put her in a "down". give her a cookie. "down" again when you open the door...cookie. "Down" when you go out on the porch ...cookie when you get back.
My dogs lie down when I touch the doorknob now knowing that a cookie (or 2) is coming their way. Mastiffs are VERY protective and you have to kinda over-ride that when it's inconvenient for you.

ROFLOL Rave, you really should write a book!

Lexi sounds so dear. Yes, a little training seems to be in order, but look on the bright side....she did not bite the mailman!

update on restocking:

Everything has been packed and is on its way or waiting to be shipped.

Things are taking a bit to get on the planes...as China is getting ready to close for 2-3weeks....so a lot of people are shipping out a ton of goods.

The liquid has arrived but is still awaiting FDA clearance. We are working very hard to resolve that...

Everything else should be landing over the next few days/week :)
