They are (were!) both so pretty but the aluminum one is gorgeous! I don't think you'll have much of a problem with metal. Here is where I got (and am buying again since it broke!) my favorite drip tip (B5) Big Belly Acrylic Drip Tips Since they are all unique my last one didn't have the dark purple on the top like the picture but had a swirl throughout. At the same site they also have some ones I really like for only $1.99!

Oh I love those too. Hmmm Sweet! Acrylic would last longer than plastic I would think. But then again I would have thought this one would have lasted longer than a week. Especially since I am not a heavy vapor. LOL

I really want to get a ceramic one too because i think I would like the feel and because they supposedly transfer heat less than some other materials. I have such a problem with my drip tips getting hot when I vape that I have a little sore inside my lip where I put my drip tip to my mouth to vape. I even bought a $14.95 pyrex drip tip because the website says "The Tempered/Pyrex Glass Drip eliminates all heat transfer that comes from the atomizer." and if that includes cartomizers it's not true. Maybe the heat is a little bit better but there is definitely heat transfer. I wonder if anyone else has this problem or if I just inhale like a maniac! My search goes on...

Oh Kblush! I hope you start feeling better. I have heard good things about the Pyrex tips - but I can't get over putting glass in my mouth. I mean, what if it breaks off? I don't know, I'll probably order a ceramic one tomorrow or Monday and let you know how it goes. Of course, I guess those could break too.

Thank you for your kindness! :) It doesn't hurt, it's just that I can feel the tenderness with my tongue! Geesh! I definitely want to hear what you think of the ceramic one! :)

If they say they will exchange it and ask you to ship it back, I would ask if i could email them the picture to save the shipping cost.

Absolutely! I had a problem once with a vendor where a defective part would have cost more to mail back than the part was worth. I gave them a negative review on the "negative reviews" section, and it was taken care of. I hated to go that route though. Now I would probably start off with an email or phone call.

Okay - Please take this as only a suggestion - there is a search function UP THERE ^ ^ ^ ^

You can search the thread or the forum for any of the information you need . . .

If you enter the words "Cleaning Cartomizers" just for this thread you will find 26 post that will give you the basic and some additional info you might find useful . . . You can check this one and some of the answers people offered back in July - it is only a few post to read . . . http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...mokelessimage-com-thread-343.html#post3745378

AND - of course if you search the forum you will get so many others . . . One good forum sub section to check is: KR808D-1 and there is a very good Sticky for "Frequently Asked Questions" too . . .

NOW - here is some information I posted in this thread and that I posted this in another thread, about cleaning cartomizers . . .

There is another way also that I find quite easy to do, especially since I have limited abilities to manipulate cartomizers and make sure they are clean . . . One of the best things, is I find that it is even easier to use, when I am cleaning a number of cartomizers at one time . . . Also, it can be used to refill your cortomizers too . . .

What you might find even more interesting thing is that it comes from one of our own ECF members "Vapian" . . .

It is called the: Cartomizerfillinator / Cartomizercleaninator V2 . . .

In his thread, he discusses they way you can build you own and you can see it here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...0782-cartomizerfillinator-22.html#post4257535, and/or learn how to possibly get one form him . . .

He also has a number of videos in the thread explaining the development and use . . .

Hope this information helps . . . :)

Yeah, I was thinkin that too. Shipping it back to be replaced would be more than its worth. If that is my only option, I simply will never order from them again and sometimes word of mouth can be your worse enemy.

I haven't tried it yet, so can't help you there. I think I remember it being described as sort of a pipe tobacco though. What does it taste like to you?

"What does it taste like to you?" Terrible. That's why I wanted to know what it was supposed to be; I've never tasted any tobacco like it, it's a very odd flavor. I'm a big pipe tobacco smoker too, never had anything like this.

What I do like:
I am enjoying "Ry4", "Desert Joe", and "555." Overall I'd like more throat hit, and warmth though, not sure if it's the nicotine level or ohm rating. The Ry4 carto messured a lower resistance than the rest, and I can tell, It's a much better vape than the rest. I may try V4L wow cartos which are LR, but I heard bad things about them on Volt batts, so Idunnaknow. I wish all SI cartos ohm ratings were like the Ry4 one I have.

On my faulty battery (which I wrote about the day I got my SI order: loud whoosing and whistling on draw, poor vapor production):

I tried it again, it isn't even firing correctly now. I contacted SI customer service, they said they would replace it. Great! Then I got another email saying they would replace it as soon as they got the defective one mailed back to them. So I have to pay for shipping their bad battery back to them, a battery that didn't work correctly since day one, and I have to wait for it to get to them, then for them to send me a new one. I'm not happy with this at all from a customer stand point. I'm also not happy as a person who is trying to quit smoking, having only one 65mm battery to get me through the day... which it doesn't.

The RY4 does rock! It is the best RY4 I've found.

Let Imagine know about it. She will intervene for you! :)
