Where I usually am
I'm starting to get it... flashing tip means the battery is done? But the carto might still be going?
Hi Theseus:)

I think it means when it flashes..."dead" or you unscrewed it from the charger after being charged. If your batt needs to be charged and you put it on the charger, it will glow. When its charged up, there's no glow. It will blink when you remove it from the charger tho

Right. The battery is likely to give out before the carto does. However, if you keep switching cartos and batteries as I do, you can lose track. I refilled my favorite carto when I detected a slight difference in taste. I didn't want it to get burnt tasting, so maybe I jumped the gun, but I added more liquid of the same flavor, and it worked. I guess you can just keep adding it, not waiting till it goes dry. The taste difference was subtle, maybe even my imagination. I was starting to wonder if it was time for a refill, so I was watching for some change that would indicate it. Anyway, better to drip a little more in than to burn the carto.

Here's a suggestion. Go to bed, and when you can't fall asleep, count backward from 5,000. Every time you lose count, start over again. You will never get to one. You'll be asleep before you do. My mom taught me that. She said it's a form of self-hypnosis. I don't think it's self-hypnosis, but it distracts you from the busyness of your mind enough to relax and fall asleep.

Ya know...... this actually really works most of the time. Another thing my mom use to tell me to do.... Ya know on a digital alarm clock the : blinks every second? If you stare at it and count each second and try to make it 5 times (5 minutes) blinking as little as possible..... you will fall asleep. lol Its like self hypnosis. So I have no doubt counting backwards will help.

I am actually wired still. No chance of me falling asleep... yet.

You'd be surprised what the counting backwards can do. My mom advised me to do this after I had abdominal surgery and was in a lot of pain and couldn't fall asleep for the pain. It really did help.

I've gone through times in my life when sleep didn't want to come. When prescription drugs and alcohol were no longer an option, I found that if I set my clock for the same time every am, and get up when it goes off (no napping during the day), I'll eventually be able to go to sleep at night. Adding some sort of exercise (during the day) that warms your muscles and raises your heart rate helps with this method. But not stressing about whether or not I'd be able to sleep that night is a large part of the remedy. YMMV.

I am up reading all these tips about falling asleep. I will have to try some of them. My problem tonight is I got hungry and had a big bowl of chili. It was very good, but now I am awake.

I think it's supposed to be unhealthy to sleep right after eating. If I remember correctly, when you sleep, your body slows down, and that includes your digestion, so you don't digest your food as well. In other words stay up till you've digested that chili, then go to sleep.

Meanwhile, with all this talk of sleep, I've decided it's bedtime. Good night, folks.

You'd be surprised what the counting backwards can do. My mom advised me to do this after I had abdominal surgery and was in a lot of pain and couldn't fall asleep for the pain. It really did help.

Back in July I had a full hysterectomy that was not expected. About 2 weeks after surgery the insomnia set in. I couldn't lay down, couldn't sleep, couldn't sit for long periods of time. The pain meds made me woozy but far from sleepy. In fact they wired me. Plus, I am not use to not working. I have worked every day of my life since I was 16. lol I was off 6 weeks when my son was born 11 years ago and 6 weeks with this surgery. I begged my dr for something to help me sleep. He gave me sleeping pills to get me through it. Nothing worked. I would cat nap for about 15 mins 3 times a day. I finally figured out what the problem was...... I am a belly sleeper. I sleep on my stomach with my face pretty much buried in my pillow. So with the help of my husband, 4 weeks post op, we fixed the bed and pillows and I was able to get into at least semi-belly sleep and omg I slept for 14 hours!! It was heaven. Now when I woke up, every muscle in my body was sore. I never moved the whole time. LOL Healing time went pretty fast from then on. Sleep does the body good.

But speaking of sleep...... I just took a long, hot, calming bath. Finishing up some hot cocoa and my last vape of the day and I am gonna call it a night. 1:30am.... time for bed. G'night my fellow Volties.

Okay - Please take this as only a suggestion - there is a search function UP THERE ^ ^ ^ ^

You can search the thread or the forum for any of the information you need . . .

If you enter the words "Cleaning Cartomizers" just for this thread you will find 26 post that will give you the basic and some additional info you might find useful . . . You can check this one and some of the answers people offered back in July - it is only a few post to read . . . http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...mokelessimage-com-thread-343.html#post3745378

AND - of course if you search the forum you will get so many others . . . One good forum sub section to check is: KR808D-1 and there is a very good Sticky for "Frequently Asked Questions" too . . .

NOW - here is some information I posted in this thread and that I posted this in another thread, about cleaning cartomizers . . .

There is another way also that I find quite easy to do, especially since I have limited abilities to manipulate cartomizers and make sure they are clean . . . One of the best things, is I find that it is even easier to use, when I am cleaning a number of cartomizers at one time . . . Also, it can be used to refill your cortomizers too . . .

What you might find even more interesting thing is that it comes from one of our own ECF members "Vapian" . . .

It is called the: Cartomizerfillinator / Cartomizercleaninator V2 . . .

In his thread, he discusses they way you can build you own and you can see it here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...0782-cartomizerfillinator-22.html#post4257535, and/or learn how to possibly get one form him . . .

He also has a number of videos in the thread explaining the development and use . . .

Hope this information helps . . . :)

This method from Vapian was the firts thing that came to my mind when I read about cleaning, but I could't remember the name and I couldn't find the link without it...
Thank you Uncle!!
I have used this method and all my cartos/attys were good as new. Amazing!

I am sorry you having such bad luck but I really think it might be just that and not the norm but bad luck. I hope Imagine can organise that you guys get sent the batteries immediately without having to wait for the old ones to be posted back that would not be cool!!

Hi, Im the proud owner of a new Volt kit. I have to say, Its AMAZING. It does as described and far beyond it. It produces vast amounts of vapor, its easy to use(sealed batt's) Refilling the empty prefilled's is a snap. Its everything i wanted and more.
Customer service is second to none and have been very helpful.

Only one complaint, and i wish i had none but i do :( I have a bat that came with the kit thats holding about a half hours worth of charge. Now, i cant be without 2 batt's, If i only have one, i will definately fall off the wagon and to me thats not an option. The broken battery is enough for me to take a hit here and there till my other is charged(about 1 1/2 hours). But heres the catch with customer service. They want me, to send them back the batt and they will send a new one. Unacceptable. That would leave me at the mercy of the analog's, they are only a block away and i do not want to goto that store for anything, let alone Cigs because i have only one Batt till i get the other.

As i stated Smokless Image is by far the best company ive delt with before my purchase. They answered every question without much time passing, and have even called when they didnt recieve a response from me right away.

But please, i hope someone can help me with this batt thing. I cant go back to analog's even if its for a few days. If i tell my wife i need to do that, It will cause much unneeded stress and make her question my whole Ecig addventure. She doesnt understand that after the startup costs, i truely will be saveing money.

Thanks all:
Harry:)
