Hello I am putting together an informative brochure about e-cigs that will hopefully be placed in a doctor's office.

I've included a few informative web links on the brochure (including ECF). However, the doc looked over my initial draft of the brochure and asked if I could include any general phone numbers or other offline resources for patients that don't use the Internet (probably not many I am guessing).

Aside from specific vendor phone numbers (which I am reluctant to include in an effort to make it unbiased), I am not sure of what phone #'s or whatever I could list. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here's another one, just added to the CASAA documents.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo.../170852-e-cigarettes-smoke-free-policies.html

This document was created in response to one of the same name authored at the Kentucky Center for Smoke-free Policy. That document contains many factual errors, and most of the source citations consist of press releases and opinion pieces. One research report was actually conducted on cigarette smoke and the document implies that it applies to something that was not tested--vapor.

I am happy to report that Google is now bringing up the ECF post as #1 when you use the document title as the search criteria.

Thanks everyone. I have added a link to the CASAA in the brochure that I am making. What I am hoping for though is something beyond linked PDFs since the people I'm trying to address here don't use the Internet. Any phone numbers or hotlines that you know of? Or a place they could write to to get more information snail mailed to ?

I tried calling the CASAA phone number, 800-696-5030. A guy answered the phone by saying something to the effect of "Web Support..." I asked him I'd reached the CASAA, he said something like "Yeah, we do that too." The conversation was kind of awkward and it seemed like isn't wasn't a dedicated CASAA hotline.

Doesn't seem to me like a good resource for new users interested in finding out bout ecigs.

Unfortunately, we don't yet have a dedicated "hotline." We don't currently have enough funding for paying someone to do that (and it would be a full time job.) Maybe someday we'll be able to afford a help line like that or some of our members will volunteer to staff a call line and have calls forwarded to them.

People can send written inquiries to:
CASAA
182 St. Francis Street, Suite 300
Mobile, AL 36602

Otherwise, you can print out and give them the handouts I posted above (for now.) The CASAA tri-fold has a lot of e-cigarette information for those unfamiliar with them. Not sure what other questions you think people will have?

Where did you get that number? It belongs to WebOperations.net, a company I own. We may have used it as "CASAA Web Support" but it was never published as our official number. You have to understand that CASAA is a volunteer group and no one monitors a "hotline" 24/7 to answer questions. We do, however respond to calls placed at any of our offices. CASAA has its own direct line(s) and they are posted on our web site.

As President and Founder, I'd like to point out that everyone involved has donated considerable time and resources to getting this group off the ground. If you found that number posted somewhere online, please let me know and I'll make sure its updated.
