Oh, no! My Reo's need help!

Hello, fellow Reonauts.

I've been happily vaping my brains out with my Reo Grand and Reo Mini for the past 10 months or so. However, over time, my poor companions have begun showing hard signs of usage. For starters, my Mini has a horribly damaged battery contact. It seems to be bent very badly, to the point of where it turns itself on sometimes! I've attempted to remove the little cover on the inside so I could try to bend it back, but the darn thing seems to be stuck. I just twist, and twist, and twist, and the screw won't come out. It just sits there. So, that's a bummer.

My mainstay, the ol' Grand, has been experiencing internal leaking for sometime. It finally got so bad that it will barely even feed juice to the atty, so I decided to investigate. The internal screw comes out fine on that one, and I discovered that I have a torn feed tube.

What, oh what, is a Reonaut to do? These are the only two e-cigs I consider using... I'm too spoiled with the bottom-feeding. LOL. The thoughts of dripping, or *gasp*, using cartos is simply terrifying!

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear about that. Hopefully someone will chime in soon. If it were me, I would pm ROB ASAP for tips or repairs. He'll get it back to you working like a dream. Hopefully you have some backups. Although, I have heard of people replacing the feeding tube. If I can find a link for you, I'll update this post.

Rhapsodie Fire mentioned that it was held on by a drop of super glue. So, just soak your Grand in hot water for a while and steadily remove it. Then attach the new tube back on and use some Gorilla glue or something on a q-tip to go around it. That should fix it. That's if your willing to do it.

You can buy replacement feeding tubes and new springs on Rob's site. That would be quicker than sending it back to him that is if you can get the screw out. Sorry I can't be of more help.

You should consider sending them to Robert for a tune-up! It is well worth it to have your REO's in tip top shape. Often those little screws will strip if they are not threaded properly into a little hole at the back of the top portion. Robert can fix everything for you in quick turn around time.

Please just contact Robert and tell him what is going on. He always knows what is best!

oh geez...I wish I had stayed up last night to see this.
For immediate relief on your Grand...pull the tubing off and put it back on using the other end. The mini needs to go in for repair. You need to contact Rob.

As everyone has said, you can easily fix the Grand yourself, but the Mini needs to go to the REO spa. I'm so sorry. The good news is, you will have it back a week after sending it out.

Hi, folks! Thanks for all the replies! This is why the Reo is the best mod, and the Reonauts are the best of ECF! Haha. Repair tips in the early morning... gotta love it.

I think a couple of you might have been confused about the Mini. It isn't the spring at the bottom that is malfunctioning. It's the small metal contact at the top that moves when you push the button. I suppose I pushed the button a bit too hard in my vaping madness and bent it. The screw in the Mini is also, apparently, stripped, so... to the Reo Spa my Mini shall go.

Now, for the Grand. I have removed the cover again, and am trying to remove the tube from the bottom of the atty connector, but it just doesn't seem to want to budge. I'm afraid to pull it too much, or I'll completely tear it off. Someone above said something about it being held on with super glue. I can't see or feel any super glue on it. Granted, my eyes aren't the greatest, but...

I took a super close-up picture with my phone... I think I can maybe see a little white "crust" around the connection that might just be super glue.

If it won't tug off without tearing further, you can use an exacto knife to make a vertical cut on the tubing where it is attached to the metal nipple, pry/peel it off with tweezers, cut off the end you just mangled, flip the tube and wiggle it back on the nipple, and use it that way till you get more tubing delivered. I've flipped my tube in the same fashion and then replaced it later on my Grand and never used any glue. No leaks or slippage at all.

^^^^^ THIS is one of the many reasons I'm a Reonaut! Thanks to all of you for all your help. I'll see what I can rig up with the Grand and send the Mini back to meet its maker. Can't be going Reo-less and smoking cancer sticks in the meantime, ya know.
