Seems Odd that we need a Second Set of Rules to describe Very Small Events?

It's not that we need a second set of rules. It's that the rules that we use to describe the "macroscopic" world i.e. the world as we see it, are inacurate. A little bit like Newtons law of gravity was inacurate.

Nature only seems deterministic but it is fundamentally not. So far, Einstein was wrong when he said: "God does not play with dice"...It seems that he does.

That is me right there.
Husband: "Helppppp! Why is it doing this? Fix it!"
Me: "Not ever going to watch those reviews I sent you are you?"
Husband: "Not until hell freezes over"

It's sad.. month back into vaping and I'm over here figuring out which kind of coils I wanna dip my hands into and he's still happy he can screw in his evod and it work ok.

Buy him a Blu and when it dies, tell him to go to the store.

Seems like the Rules we have for the Observable Universe works Fairly well. It's when things get Small, Very Very Very Small that we run into Problems.

You mentioned Gravity. Something that has Always Fascinated me. I wonder if there is a Place, or perhaps a Realm of "Distance" where the Concept of Gravity Doesn't have a Meaning?

Einstein was Correct when he made his Famous comment about Dice. And that is why I mention that perhaps a reliance on Stochastic Systems or Theories has actually hampered a Greater Understanding of the Sub-Atomic level.

Nope!

So far he was Wrong! And he spent the rest of his life trying to demonstrate that he was right: No Success there. Niels Bohr won the deterministic vs probabilistic debate about the nature of... nature and told rightfully to Mr. Einstein to "Stop telling God what to do with his dice."

All the average vaper needs to know is that a 2.5 ohm coil needs 3.7v. Crank it up or down to taste if that's not good. It's like listening to the car radio ... pick a station you like and adjust the volume to suit. When that one gets out of range, find a new one.

Agree 100%

I think variable wattage mods are going to take off steeply. I don't have one yet, but I can see vapers talking wattage instead of voltage in the future. I'm hoping for a Provari upgrade path to something that allows VV and VW with some additions to the present one button control. I'd like to see an LCD display with an up-down-left-right rocker and an enter button in the center instead of multiple button pushes to navigate.

A vw provari would be awesome!

I want the next provari to have nothing less than a touch screen! That would be amazing!!!

ok...

It would be Nice to know why Mr. E was wrong. Or do we just have to take that on Faith?

You absolutely do not have to take my word for it my skeptic friend. Skepticism is a quality that I like in people.

Look up "The Bohr-Einstein debate" "EPR paradox" and "Bell's Inequalities". Some author does a good job at vulgarizing these subjects, although none come to mind right now. :D

LOL

I haven't heard someone reference the EPR Paradox in a Long Time.

Not saying that the Standard Model or All of Einstein's works Describe a Unified Universe. And some Tweaking is Needed.

But I think that a Better Approach would be a Modification of what we Know works for all but the Quantum Realm. Verses a Compete Reinvention of Reality which hasn't accomplish All that Much in the Past 40 Years.

I think it was Richard Feynman who once said...

"Dimensions? We Don't Need No More Stinking Dimensions!"

This thread officially took a Nerdturn and is now WAY off topic but I don't think that there is such a thing as the quantum realm... Or should I say: everything is the quantum realm... It's just that we, with our little monkey brains can't intuitively grasp the whole of what reality is.

Here's another quote from Mr. Feynman (Which is the brightest american who ever lived imho):
If you think you understand quantum mechanics, then you don't understand quantum mechanics!

Well I think that is One thing that we Both Agree on.

Hmmmmmmm.....

Here I came to the ECF for a little light reading on a Saturday after a brutal week of work, maybe find some new shiny things to peruse, learn a little about juices, and lo and behold, a Physics Symposium breaks out!

Interesting what one can find in here......

LOL

Well. Fill Up you Tank or Clearo, take for Shoes Off and throw Out your thoughts on a Unified Theory.

;)

Yep!

I don't know why he's not as famous as Einstein!

...

In Physics and Math circles Feynman is a Giant.

I think in Many Ways, Feynman didn't fit the Mold of what a Theoretical Physicst should be or look like. He didn't have Wild Crazy Hair. And he wore Socks. And he had a Very Down to Earth way of Explaining things. He also had a Sense of Humor and believed Firmly in Rule #62.

Hawkins may be considered Brilliant for his Early work and the Next Einstein. But Penrose's Name is virtually unheard of outside a Very Small circle. Or that Dr Michio Kaku seems to be Burning Up the Science Channel for the Last 2 years. But VERY Few people know who Edward Witten is.

Maybe to be Popular and a Pop Icon you have to Look the Part? Or have some Quality that the Media can Latch onto?

BTW - Here is some Classic Feynman Explaining how the Scientific Approach is Taken.
