I have a couple of e juices that feel oily on the inhale. Even to the point of feeling like it is coating the back of my throat. One even seems to taste a bit oily. The ones I have had issue with are all 18 mil and 70/30. One is Mt Baker Vapor green apple and another is a peppermint cane from a different vendor.

most vendors don't use flavorings with oils in the bases... they can be quite dangerous... some cinnamons, mints and citrus/oranges do have oils... but most vendors don't use those...

so, as far as an oily feel in the back of your throat... I can relate... I used to vape juice that used flavourart for the flavouring and that's precisely why I stopped... it felt like it coated the back of my throat and sinuses... and I was relatively alone in this situation... and most people do like flavourart You may be sensitive to flavorings... if this is the case... then you might want to try some organically flavored juices... like from vaperite... or another vendor...and you might want to try lab created juices... like from halo or goodejuice... or just juices that are more lightly flavored like bwb, alice in vapeland etc...

I was just wondering if it was something I should avoid or had out of balance in a couple of juices. Maybe its just an off batch or something as it happens with my son as well with the green apple. I have 6 other Mt Baker juices that it doesn't happen with so it was really confusing me that that one felt so odd.

I do have to do the tongue cleaning thing when I use my cartos because they make my mouth feel and taste a bit like I have glue in my mouth.

I just received several flavors from MBV and two of them seem extremely oily... Ocean Breeze and Afternoon Delight. They smell *wonderful* and there are hints of yummy flavors but the oily thing is concerning. None of my other favorites like Choco Mint from AquaVapor and Mocha Coffee are even remotely oily. Wonder if time will help?

Btw, I tried these two in my little cigalike and in my Ego with the same result.

Mercurial_One1, both of those include coconut flavoring which, for me at least, gives a distinct mouth feel. Some describe it as creamy, others might think of it as oily or fatty. Either way, I would bet dollars to doughnuts that what you're feeling is the coconut flavoring.

I think you are dead on. I have a sample of Almond Delight from MBV and I am certain there is a coconut flavoring in there and that juice as well feels oily when I vape it.

I feel the same with any dark VG juices even if only 50% vg.

Also any vanilla or dessert flavors like chocolate etc, even if 100% PG.

Feel some sort of build up on my chest from these sorts of juices too.

Now I only vape clear tobacco juices if they have any VG in them and only 100% PG for dark tobacco juices.

I will not vape ANY vanilla or dessert juices except RY5 from Ovale which is clear.
