......The best vape I ever had was a 1.5 Dual coil at 6.0v on my GGTS. The proveri wouldn't even fire it, and rightly so, as the battery drain was pretty extreme given Ohm says that's 24 watts. (My battery life was of course pathetic) Point being, getting to that perfect vape might take some understanding of what's actually happening....

That's another advantage to the Darwin - it handles dual coils without a problem and still gets 12 - 13 hours on a charge.

I have ego batteries and about everything that screws on one and a 5 volt mod. The thing I smoke every day all day is the smokeless image volt. Get 5 or so batteries and don't bother with the pcc. I buy their blank cartos and put mostly dekang in them but like most I have way too many bottles of juice from pretty much all the major vendors. I like the auto batteries too no need to mess with a button on the volt, just pick it up and hit it. I do top off the cartos with 10 or 15 drops every couple hours depending on how much I hit it but I still think it's the most trouble free vape I have by a long shot.

Curious on this.

The device doesn't change physics. Both Joule and Ohm have some well known rules describing this.

The intent is not to be argumentative. But given it's the newbie forum I feel the need to question the statement, as all things being equal, the stored amps in the devise defines the longevity, not the device itself.

provari = error codes
lavatube = cut down voltage on certin cartos
buzz = best choice
The errors exist for a reason. I'm a GG fan, but I also respect my proveri; it's an intelligent, safe, design.

Suggesting that a one mod (which are generally considered advanced devices) is superior becase it opts to to ignore potential fault conditions is, at best reckless, especially on a n00b forum. If someone want's to push the limits, that's cool, been there done that. But doing so, probably isn't in the best interest of the new members simply asking for some advice.

funniest post ive read in a dozen random forums in over a year!! "Nothing worse than waking up at 2 am and have to play around for 15 minutes adjusting a wick or replacing atty" thats some hardcore vape addiction right there, lol.
get a:
silver bullet
2 18650 "protected" batteries and a charger
J-Tank
Boge 2.0olm cartomizers.
couple 1.5 attys if you get a drip urge.
some drip tip for both.

vape heaven.

I'll throw in another vote to www.gotvapes.com and their visions. I'll go one further and be specific...specifically the 2.5 ml mini. It is easy to fill with eyedroppers or dropper bottles, so no syringe needed. The only truly fiddly thing about them is that the plug has wick slits on them that you MUST make sure are actually lined up with the wicks. A slightly irritating thing is commendation in the mouth piece, which is mostly not a bother because it is easily fixed. Take the mouthpiece off, flick and reinstall. I choose this specific size because the height is IMO perfect for wicking. Wicking can only defy gravity for so far, so the giant which is the same diameter but taller, can be a bit of a pain. The smaller models require too many refills during the day. And because of how the mouth piece and plug are designed, leaks are rare, even when it's upside down.

They also have some very interesting new stuff out, but I haven't tried them yet.

Ok I have that exact carto, smok dual coil. Why does it suck? I filled it with a syringe and the hit is non existant and very airy?

Woody,

Not sure why the hit would be non existent. I have used 2 different 18mg juices and a 20mg juice. The 20mg vermilion river juice hit like a freight train. The draws for me is better then the ego-T was, but then again, I don't suck on it hard like a straw. I basically just hit the button and let the vapor fill my mouth.

Perhaps you are on the right track thinking that you need to spend some money to get a VV mod. I know I am happy with the Infinity Pro and the tank from MadVapes. I can't speak on the Provari or the Darwin, but you should be happy with either the iPro or Buzz Pro.

If you don't want to be continually refilling look for larger cartos. Tanks have a learning curve and many new vapers have lottsa issues with them.

True, but once you get past the learning curve they are one of the most fiddle proof options. Every aspect of vaping has a learning curve, this community is great at helping get past them.

I'm no electrical engineer but I and hundreds of others who use mega dual coil cartomizers on the Darwin report the same success. I think it has to do with the fact that the Darwin is a variable wattage model not variable voltage like the Provari as well as the different protection circuits built into the two models. When I use dual coils, I put the Darwin on 12.7 watts and it registers 4.6 volts while vaping at 1.6 or 1.7 ohms.

And I am a very heavy vaper. When I vape using standard resistence cartos/attys, I get 21 hours on a charge. With the dual coil, it cuts it down to 12 - 13 hours which is still great and since it's also a pass-through, I can vape and charge, if need be at the same time.

If you come to the Atlanta Vape Meet in February, I will show you.

Again, another advantage to the Darwin.

Yes I have friends that vape and they LOVE their tanks but I advised them to first get comfortable with their gear and juice. Once they knew how to vape and the basic technical aspects they then moved up to tanks. I guess, as we all know, vaping is a very personal program and some move forward quicker than others. Myself, after 3 weeks, successfully began to DIY BUT I had spent 200+ hours researching DIY.
Happy New Year.
