You should try it fresh. Menthol doesn't really need to steep nor does stawberry. They will mellow with age but should be worth a vape fresh. Plu you can see if it betters with age. I personally like the sharpness of menthol fresh

Sold! Don't have to tell me twice. Lol. Tried it. Not bad. A little too heavy of strawberry and not enough menthol. So added some drops of menthol, will finish vaping the little bit in my tank since the heavy strawberry flavor is still pleasant to me, and then try round 2 later. :)

Ok so here is my question...which flavors for sure need to be steeped? I am thinking about getting a vanilla and a cream flavor next and trying a "strawberry vanilla cream" type concoction. Not sure if that would be one needing to steep a bit. My mom is already hitting me up to make her stuff. Lol. She likes strawberry menthol too so once I get this one down the way I like it I will make her some, but she also wants a plain menthol which I can handle, but would I do 10% flavor with just menthol? These flavors I bought are very concentrated. I only did 10% and I can taste way more flavor than the stuff I've bought pre-made. So I don't want to go overboard on a plain menthol for her, although it may clear out her sinuses good. Lol.

Alright...fingers crossed. First little 10mL batch of strawberry menthol eau de Clo has been made. Lol. I'm going to let it steep for a few days before I try it. Exciting! Hope it doesn't suck!

I tried a melon blend...watermelon, cantaloupe, kiwi, and honeydew melon with just a hint of cream (I'm trying to get close to my Dark Horse Sweet Sookie--even though I know it will be impossible to duplicate lol)....little lite on flavor fresh out of the making, but I'm hopeful it will be better with age...also tried a boysenberry/blackberry blend...It's missing something, but I'll figure it out cause it was good!

I've read all creams/caramel/bakery type stuffs definitely need to steep for full flavor. Fruits not so much, and I have no clue about menthol lol!

Wow, you went for more complex stuff than me. Honestly I think the strawberry menthol I made was quite good and maybe would only add one more drop of menthol for a little more zip, but otherwise I really like it. Have been puffing away all morning. Lol. Glad you liked yours, and you'll get it the way you like it in no time :) I bet when I do the next flavor I will have to mess with it quite a bit since I will try three flavors.

Most of my mixes are vanillas and/or creams. The mix is often vapable right away, but ALWAYS gets much better with age. I try to let my vanillas steep at least 2 weeks. A month is even better.

Great thanks! I totally think I will be giving it a try soon. This is definitely fun! Lol

I'm determined not to have to pay $20 for a bottle of my good stuff anymore lol...the blackberry/boysenberry is already getting a little better...that's what I'm vaping now :)

You might try a simple recipe like Mustard Milk (named after the creator FizzMustard). I found it on another recipe site : Strawberry 6%, Vanilla Bean Ice Creme 8%. For me it's like strawberry ice creme.

Sounds yummy. I just bought some cream flavor and a lemon flavor. I'm going to try a simple strawberry and cream to see how I like that, and it may sound weird but I like lemon and cream together so I will play around with the lemon with the strawberry and cream. I'm enjoying my strawberry menthol so this experiment has been fun! I definitely love this ability to adjust the flavor and get it how I like it. So glad I decided to try this. So much cheaper too.

Custards, bakery, tobacco, vanilla and creams do well with some time to age. Recipes with larger ingredient lists also settle down after 1-5 days. I try most everything fresh just to see how it is.

Menthol and straight fruit mixes I enjoy fresh and find that the lose steam over time. But that is just me!

Got it! I am totally enjoying my homemade strawberry menthol and glad I didn't have to steep it. It is quite good. When I try the cream mixture I will give it a taste and then let it steep a little and taste again. I was nervous to try this, but now I'm doubting I go back to buying pre-made.

I made a 40/60 3mg nic blend in a 10mL bottle. The flavors I bought said to do 10% flavoring and it was right cause they are potent. So the 1 mL of flavoring I did a 4 parts ripe strawberry and 1 part menthol. Or 0.8 mL ripe strawberry and 0.2 mL menthol. :)
