The beautiful Puget Sound
So there I was, walked in with my ProVari in hand (because it's amazingly reliable and because it's a ProVari).
:facepalm:

Then the 'provarinati' came into my head and said "Beat this woman with your all powerful ProVari!" As I clenched my fists I looked at her and kindly replied "Ma'am, I don't think you know EXACTLY what this is".
:facepalm::facepalm:

The point of the story is - some folks just envy the beast mods.
:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm: Hat-trick.

In which I got my wife to start vaping. She's not a smoker,
Brilliant.

And watched as one of the guys immediately spotted the ProVari logo and the Zen~ stamp on the top cap and on the inside of my tank and he quickly pushed her off to the side and said "I see you're a builder and that's a mighty fine coil you got there, what's the Ohms on it?"
Did he actually say, "mighty fine" ?

whether CasketWeaver story is true or not and maybe a bit embellished, it was certainly a fun read....
so, what if showed off a bit and bragged (IMHO...we all have bragging rights....WE QUIT SMOKING!!!) a bit...
and really...as a Semovar AND Provari owner I take exception on how conceded some people are about what they own.
quit getting your panties in a bunch, in the end it does mostly the same for all of us Vapers ... keeps us of cigarettes.

is it required for Provari owners to 'not' have a sense of humor? ... in that case I'd have to sell mine

:lol::laugh::p:D:vapor:

all of this 'provarinati' stuff is a joke, Right?
some companies sell a product, others sell a "Life Style". i see this a lot in aftermarket performance car parts industry.
they build a bunch of hype about a product and sell it for a HUGE profit.
i worked for such a company as customer service at one point in my life. it was one of the worst jobs ever. most of the customers are not that bright and rude and all of them expect you "put a rush on it" for no extra charge because they know a guy who knows a guy, and he is a "big deal" in the world of motor sports. i say that wont be a problem, add another $100 to the order and tell them the new price... in the 2 years i worked there i had only 1 rush order that didn't cancel after hearing the price and it was for safety gear that was needed so the car would pass tech inspection in time, with out it they could not race.
but we are not talking about cars here, we are talking about an E-cig. its sole function is to heat up a small length of wire (pretty much the same as a toaster). ProVape sells a life style, not a bad marketing ploy. but im not buying it. besides i am more of a mech mod type of person.

I've got two battery holders; one mech-mod and one VV/VW, together with a handful of eGos. That's enough for me at the moment; I can only vape one set-up at a time. But from the various pictures I have seen posted, people who have one battery holder, even if it is a ProVariTM, are very much in the market for others. And if they do have a ProVariTM, they have plenty of money to spend on them. Therefore I would say that it was a shrewd call on the woman's part. The mistake she made is to not to have realised that her customer belonged to an elitist clique and would demand that she used the correct jargon and pass-phrases.

A friend once said to me "You too can be cool for the low low price to far too ......ing much..."

I like the Provari, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet - there are so many good mods out there now and my Spire hasn't failed me yet. But I do want a Provari just for the legendary-ness of it.

I think the story is funny. Arrogant? Maybe a little but when someone is passionate about their hobby I tend to grant them a little grace.

Vape on...

This post suggests an attitude unbecoming of an humble vaper. This is why I say it's not the device, it's the user. Hate the playa, not the game.

QFT!!!!!! I couldn't have said it better Rocketpunk!!! Thankyou!! That is exactly why I love this forum and why on another thread we're talking about vaping SNOBS. This post represents the highest form of snobbery that many here disdain. Like the poster should get treated like royalty because he has a certain device. Does that make him better than the guy with the cigalike that just quit? Or the person that has been vaping a year and still using Vision Spinners (My wife) because that's what they like? Should the vape shop bow down to him like royalty over these other fine vaping customers? A little compasion toward others and humility go a long way.

For the die hard Provari owners......I am so glad that you have found that perfect fit for you in your vaping. I don't have anything against you or your devices. In fact, I would still consider getting one if the price came down. $100+ is just a little too steep for one battery holder IMO. There are too many other less expensive alternatives out there. May all you vapes be full of thick clouds of delicious flavor. :toast:

Not going to wade through all this, page 1 was enough.

I said it before and I'll say it again.

It is NOT the Provari people take issue with, it is some of the Owners. Op's post is the perfect example.:glare:

Good point and well taken!! My main point is we should all just be accepting toward all fellow vapers whether they know the lingo, use a cigalike or a high end mod. Our community needs to stick together. We have enough problems with all the legislation that is trying to be passed or is already passed!!! It just upsets me to see an experienced vapor put down another vapor because they were unaware what his device was. It's bad form for our community and it breaks an unwritten code of vaping acceptance.:toast:

I've never met a Provari owner, but in my mind I always visualize them as looking like hipsters. Skinny tight jeans, big square glasses, weak wrists....

We have a few hipsters where I live and I like to walk behind them and step on their heels so they have to stop and readjust their shoes.
Pretty childish on my part and I always apologize, but I continue to do it. Do you think I have a problem?
