Hey everyone,

sorry if have a multiple post- but I'm all set now in terms of what I looking. The ability to step down voltage below battery as well as subohm is exactly what I looking - for whatever reasons I like subohm build with less than 3.7 volts - it appears a mod with this sx350 chip would be ideal and frankly the only way to achieve what I want .

For those of you who use this chip set do you like it ? And last but definite not least whats the easiest way to find out which if any mas produced mods have this chip ? Or will something like this need to be ordered via a custom box mod builder ?

Any my help would be awesome !!!

Ipv2 uses this chip. Seems really cheap for what it is too. Nice looking box. Pretty sure eciggity has them.

iPV2 50 Watt Box Mod - Eciggity

YouTube some videos if you'd like to see the box in action. It has a touch sensor button which looks really cool to me.

I'm sorry We, but the IPV 2 uses the SX 330 V2 chip, not the SX350.

Flex, the chip in the IPV 2 lets me sub-ohm with far less than 3.7 volts, it does down regulate power.

I got mine at Elev8Vape iPV 50 w box mod by pioneer4u

Oh okay. I thought the 30 watt was ipv (sx330) and ipv2 was 50 watt (sx350). I guess I had it wrong though :)

Why don't You just build one? The SX350 is one of the easiest chips to build with most of the soldering is done for you.
There is a great thread with a lot of info here on SX350 builds. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/559302-yihi-sx350-35w-chip-varitube.html
With a few simple parts you can build an Awesome Mod for half the price of Vapinart. If your interested I can get the ball rolling for you
You will need a chip and a 510 connector Welcome to VariTube.com - A Better Alternative to Smoking

It's not that hard and you will have the Ultimate Mod box

It does not down regulate voltage, and has been verified by p4u.

The chip is programmed to display the voltage corresponding to the wattage selection. However like many Chinese chips, if the user specified settings exceeds/goes below the chip's specs, the chip automatically outputs it's limits instead of the user specified settings, even if it displays otherwise

TL;DR : the chip may display the output to be something like 2.8V etc, when in fact it's outputting 3.6V. It's been verified by us using an inline voltmeter at the IPV thread.

Thank you for the information on that Kiwi! I thought since the display wasn't blinking, that the true voltage was actually being displayed. Good heads up on that!

Yeah... when I first discovered this, it was with a MVP...I had a 0.8ohm piece of wire on it, set at 5 Volts, and I was posting warnings all over the place.

Then, someone asked if I measured it. Lol...I had, at the very least, a fluke 99b on the table where I was messing around with the mvp...duh. Never mind, your MVP won't kill you.:)

You could look into commissioning an SX350 box. I recently purchased one from a fellow on ECR and it is a beast. Good feel in the hand, dual 18650 batteries. The SX350 also down-regulates as well as up-regulates.

They are going to update the firmware to 80W soon, I believe. I also believe they took some information/recommendations from Pbusardo regarding improvements that may go out in the next firmware release. They mentioned that it was delayed due to Pbusardo's recommendations so it seems logical that they are taking them into account. (Check out Pbusardo's YiHi SX350 review on youtube)

Kuma - how far can you go down on voltage. For instance I do like my 3 volt vape at a .6,7,8 coil. Is that possible ? If so I am totally in.

(IMO evolve needs to drastically step up its game. The chip is inferior and many of their business partners are greedy gluttons charging absorbitant fees. The market has taken care of itself and chips and other devices are blowing the DNA out of the water IMO for half the price - sorry just a ramble- I'm sure I'll get hate mail for this )

Dr g still continues to be a ...... Stop posting negativity. The reason I have posted a couple of times is because more info comes out just like this thread where one thing was thought about a chip just to be thankfully refuted. All trying to help and all just some misinformation around.

You on other hand just spit nonsense and misinformation.

Where did you get your medical degree from ?

The Tatroe Atlas uses the SX350 and is available to buy now at Cigtechs. I personally own one and it's an awesome device. The Atlas has some faults like a non adjustable pin and the $235 price tag but beyond that, it's a solid device. A variety of different colored enclosures will be available in the near future. I believe a Sony VT5 is also included in the deal.

The SX350 can regulate down to 1.5 volts/5 watts

The SX330 comes in 3 versions. One, V1 under 50 watts, I think 30, V2, 50 watts, and V3, 100 watts. The V1 and V2 boards do not have buck, step down, circuits but the V3 does. Sigelei is just coming out with an 100 watt mod with dual 18650s for around $100,

The SX350 is designed as a modder's board and I do not think there are any high volume manufacturers using them. There is a facebook group, Sx350 mods and box mods for sale, that lists modders that will make mods for you. The other option is to make one yourself.

If you do build a sx350 mod I think the original spec said 16 guage wire but in order to go to 60 safely you need to step up to 14 guage wire.
