First of all, thank God that I accidently ran into this forum month ago while looking for decent pipe for herbal ingridient. That was my beginning of this vaping journey. Started with this utter crap called 'blu', then eGo-v knck-offs. Now eVic. But I have heard about this ProVaris and also saw one at my local vape shop. The price was really high something like I could buy 2 eVics for price of this ProVari. I asked the owner of the shop and he said he wouldnt pay for that much money for it but also said its like tank durability. thats it. Oh yeah.. instead of eVic can only go up to 5 volts (yet...lets wait til newer version;)) but ProVari can go up to 6. info screen is so hard to play with. weight is heavier so feels better when you grab it. But that price for it? I will just stick with my eVic and get Nimbus. Even store owner said he doesnt really recommend it unless you want to sell yourself into this bif fan-based over hyped product.:glare:

Lets put it this way.... During the week , I drive to work in my 1966 1/2 Camaro because I like to but I cruise during the weekend in my Ferrari F-40 because it feels right. Most of the time everything that you see on the market can be considered champagne taste with a beer pocket book ... but when you play your cards right and decide to stop with the child's play - Join the crowd that enjoys the finer things in life!! That is what the Provari provides because it is like the Ferrari or the Jaguar F-type of vaping. IMHO

Thats what every single ProVaris users say. BETTER VAPING. But no one actually came across to explain HOW it is better.

By using (not pointing at you though...) your comparison above;

Does ProVari have twin turbo super charged battery system?
Does ProVari itself give you extra vapor or even add more into taste?
Does ProVari made out of meterial that rarely found on this planet?
Does ProVari floss your teeths while vaping?

Yes. If you paid 1/4 million dollars to buy Ferrari, there are no one to tell you why did you buy Ferrari by paying so much money when you can buy Ford Mustang for way cheaper price.

But this.....hm....

No its not that.

If I was him, I would have the customer to spend more money but he was the one who told me not to buy ProVaris but just go for better delivery system which actualled cost me 1/6 of price of ProVaris.

I have searched the web before I went there and I even told him that I have enough budget to get some of those high-end gears.

So I only spent $45 instead of $250

I absolutely agree with his suggestion for you not to buy a ProVari at this point - but it has nothing to do with the quality of the device. You've just started vaping and there is a lot of trial and error in store for you. The battery device is just the power source, finding a juice delivery system that works and juice you like is more important than where the power comes from. A mod can suck as bad as a gas station cig-a-like if the JDS isn't working - or worse if you went beyond your budget to begin with.

I always recommend new vapers get a pair of good mid-range batteries, then spend the rest of the budget on as many different types of JDS and juice samples as possible.

ProVaris are fabulous, but you might not want one. And you certainly don't want one until you have a better idea of how you like to vape. You may end up wanting a bottom-feeder or a mechanical, who knows? There are tons of amazing products out there to try.

I actually had a chance to get my hands on one. Yes, it is very finly polished item indeed.

But clearly, it doesnt have any features or extra power like others don't.

Even head-unit is not so special compared to others.

I guess the pipe and the pieces are finly polished like it is to Tifanny & Co silvers which cost 10 times more than regular silver jeweries.

And also, to show off :p

So I'm lost, is this a "Provaris suck because some one else told me they do, but I have never actually used one" thread? Or "I didn't buy a Provari because I wouldn't believe the hype but now secretly wish I did" Thread? And listen to Ocelot, shes right, I'm glad I didn't start out with a Provari, it made me appreciate it all the more when I finally did get one.

ProVari is great but perhaps not for everyone. I'm very curious what your localshop owner priced the ProVari and what exactly is included at that priced.

Perhaps he was pushing a product that may cost less but have a higher profit margin.

Spend what you want to spend. It's all good really. I just find it funny how often this very type of thread pops up.

Hard to fathom that every ProVari owner is just a wannabe status seeking fanboi. At some point it would stand to reason that there must be somthing to the device quality and performance that is attractive and why every new device is held up in comparison.

main reason i think the provari became so popular is because they actually did a really good job designing the chip and fit and finish. the rest of the market is catching up and before long there will be a flood of dna20 devices at a good price. i have about 8k in my home theater, could have spent 200 and just got a home theater in a box at best buy or walmart. your comment about beats by dre, most people that buy them hook it up to their iphone. thats like putting the motor from a v6 mustang in a Ferrari. yeah they look the same but are they really?

I'm glad I didn't get a Twist for the first few months. After smoking for many years it took quite awhile for my sense of taste to return and variable voltage would have been lost on me.

After you've owned one and you then decide its a over priced waste then I will listen to you. If you are just trying to find out why people like them you most defiantly going about it in the wrong way. From where I sit you look pretty silly being new to something and spouting someone elses opinion about something you have very little experience with.

I seriously thinking that the reason why ProVari got so much fame is that they are the one of the very first to trigger those people who want to stand out.

It does not have any fancy fuctions.

It does not have powerful engine (I honestly dont know how the cars can be compared to this subject..)

Its just one well polished stainless steel pipe with heavier weight.

The best comparison will be ;

Why do girls go nuts on Luis Vuitton bags when they can buy multiple well made bags with well known brand.

Right?

I have a twist........I have never twisted it, I didn't even realize I could twist it till I was explaining how to use it to my mother in law.

When I went looking for a Twist the clerk at the only B&M within 100 miles told me the store didn't carry them because they were junk. He said his and his friend's both broke within a week. I'm so glad he was honest and sold me an eGo-C "Upgrade" instead.
