Has anyone checked those flashlights that you wind up to energize and get a few minutes of light out of? I have one at work in the "emergency box".
I had to use it last year and found it to be quite useful. I think Walmart sells them pretty cheap.
Imagine putting a battery connection and juice feeder in the bottom and being able to still use the light. I just thought of this so I haven't looked at how much power these things actually generate, but if anyone has thought of or actually tried this, post it, I'd like to see it and maybe try making one myself...

They have them on Deal Extreme as well... emergency wind up chargers. They put out 5volts but only when you are cranking it. Then flashlight ones store a little of the power generated to run the light, in small capacitors most likely. You could possibly make one into a mod but you would have to wind the crank on it while using it... not too efficient, if at all possible.

They are good for charging things in a pinch or at camp... again, only if you want to crank for a very long time.

you can get dynamos for charging USB devices, all you'd need is a USB passthrough and one of them and you'd get the same effect. like chev said though you'd either need something that has capacitors storing charge or you'd have to wind every thime you wanted to drag.
something like this
InspectUSA.com Dynamo Emergency Hand Crank Charger & Flashlight (V-ZL388-3)
might have the capacitors built in, for the torch.
then get any usb passthrough for your e-cig, and voila.

Yes but another thing I was trying to say in my post was that the capacitors wouldn't even be enough power stored for one hit most likely at the current needed, unless it had a small battery that was charging in it. Even then the small battery might not have the amperage required to push an atty.
