Well I believe that I noticed 11 notches on the "blue thing". So hopefully each one of them will conveniently correspond with a wattage setting with the first being zero and the last being 10. But of course we will learn more in the coming days. I can't wait to see the official price point and then the official release.

These go to 11. ;)

LOL, spinal tap.

The Pot goes 0-10 watts (10 is my sweet spot with most of my juices) and like the provari and darwin I usually thro ohms law out and just adjust to taste. The major difference with the darwins I own is that i set it and forget it. I have had atty resistances change dramatically over a few day/week period and never had to readjust the Darwin for consistent flavor. The adjustment you make to find your sweet spot should be more about your tastebuds and "mouthfeel" to me. And to add the size difference between an 18490 and 18500 is negligable, I could see where some of the "looser" mods would allow an 18500. And the tighter made mods would need an 18490 for the extral little bit of space.

I will have a rig set up late tonight after my day job, I will try to post vids and a clean review of what I think, since at the point I own :

2 provari's 3 Darwins 1 Reo mini 1 Reo Grand 1 Joker VV PWM 1 Buzz 1 infinity 2 super t's and a whole host of homemade VV mods, I am sure I can give a little comparison.

This is the beginning folks stay tuned. And anyone else thats testing feel free to add to this thread.

So did Evolv ever tell you who is actually making this for them? I have been talking with one of the creators since Aug about this.

Evolv *is* the manufacturer and their products are made in the USA. (Ohio.)

Ok, maybe some of the electronic bits and pieces (resistors, capacitors, chips, etc) come from suppliers all over the world, but the circuit boards, cases, etc. are all designed, fabricated, and assembled by Evol. (I doubt that you could find *any* complex electronic product that is 100% made in any one country.)

Yup, and anything other than they are made in the USA by them I don't generally ask about. All I know is that this is yet another fine product by Brandon and guys at Evolv.

I totally agree with that statement. And... :p Brandon just told me (a few hours ago) that my engineering samples, or beta kicks, will be shipped this Monday. If my new PrecisePlus 18650 will hurry up and be shipped, I will add my opinions about how the best variable power regulator installed in one of the best PVs in the world work together.

Agreed on all fronts. but at the same time for all of the non modders out there the kick is the ultimate solution. Like a darwin in every man and womans hands. The kicks bridges a gap that would otherwise not be filled. Like all of you I want modders boards because the gears are spinning in overdrive right now, but alas for now I will have to scintillate you with info on the kick. I will be doing most of the work on Monday, I try my hardest to spend time with the family on the weekends.

I can tell you now though that this is an awesome unit, running it in the lowly indulgence V2 and it is a beast. Side by side with the darwin I can tell you that maxxed at 10 watts it hits a little harder, but the darwin does go to 12. I cant compare it to a VV because there honestly no comparison (not to say that my VV units aren't of merit). Operation is simple as it can get, and once you have the unit "dialed in" it is easy to just vape your brains out and not have to worry about it. Like having a 5v set mod that you can readjust to suit your juice. It is a simple and eloquent solution for people on a budget, and a device that will make power regulation available to pretty much anyone so long as they have an 18650 powered mod.

I have to get some sleep, busy day with the kids and wife, vape safe guys and look back here mon/tues.

Sorry Jay, it is all subjective.

10W is 10W and in no way can be hotter than 12W. Watts being a unit of measure. Regardless I am all over this regardless of the final product 10 or 12W. I have been waiting with baited breath for this technology to not only come out, but to be made available to the public at large.

First off relax, it could well be the placebo effect. On the otherhand it COULD be a difference in the way that voltage and amperage are delivered to the atomizer. EG my non PWM VV mods hit differently at the same voltage on the same atty. Second off let all be friends, I am sure that until I have a meter hooked up to it that everything that comes out of my mouth is conjecture and subjective. My estimation was at best a seat of the pants guess based on my throat and taste buds.

Just my 2 cents but progress is better made in calm strides rather than heated steps. Patience is a virtue.

Great advice for everything in life....and something we forget. A good friend said most things that seem urgent are usually not important. I try to keep that one close when life gets hectic.
