My newest order of CoolCarts are wider at the bottom and barely fit through the cone on my eGo, and will not screw onto my adapters. It appears the bottom is wider?

I know I'm supposed to use them on my V4L batts and I do, but I also love them on my eGo's with an adjustable 510-808 adapter that gives me great airflow.

They've always worked before, but now they won't thread unless I adjust the adapter all the way down which really restricts the airflow making for tight draw :(

Edit: Maybe their not wider? Maybe the post sticks down further... I can't tell.

Ms. Natalia what kind of adapter are you using? Cool carts have a bad habit of at times not fitting on the regular autos without a little filing... You could try that, or as Ms. Mookelboo suggested bringing up the post... Doesn't work on all adapters... The one I got for when I was testing kr808 cartos on an ego didn't have that ability... Was able to file it slightly though with a nail file to get it to go on correctly...

Well......here's my ignoramic take on this. I have cool carts, wow carts, and premium carts. I also have a few other KR808 batteries (before I discovered V4L--calm down folks.) Some of the cool cartos fit, some don't. some of the WOW cartos fit, some don't, some of the premium carts fit, some don't. It is my belief that we get what we get--sometimes there is just a teeny tiny (scientific term) bit of difference in the threading. Doesn't appear to be an exact science in the gauging of any of these batteries and cartos.

My most recent box of black coolcart blanks was also bigger than normal. They fit just fine on my older batts, but they just spin around and never tighten down on both of my shorty diamond series batts. (But they fit fine on my newer series stealth XL)

That is exactly what mine are doing! Thanks for posting. :)

I'm using a 510-808 adapter. It has the same center that the cartos have, but can be turned to the left to increase airflow, or to the right to restrict it. My carto threads don't catch, the carto just spins. It seems like the post of the carto needs to be higher (into the carto). Either that, or the threaded part of the cartos are spread wider than the older ones I have.

I use CoolCarts just about exclusively, and I have not run into this issue. We have not changed manufacturers on them or anything like that. Natalia, did you by any chance put a support ticket in?

Hi Mark. I appreciate the response :)

No, I didn't put in a support ticket because I can use them with some of my V4L 808's, so they will get used. I'm just afraid to buy any more and was hoping someone knew a fix.

If I do buy more and they are the same, will V4L exchange them even though they work with some, but not all 808's?

I fixed 'em! YMMV, but I took a small screwdriver, not eyeglass small, just a small standard screwdriver. I stood the carto thread side up, put the screwdriver on the post and tapped the top of the screwdriver with a small hammer lightly a few times. It drove the post into the carto a bit... enough to allow the threads to catch. Now the cartos screw on all batteries and adapters!

I metered the cartos to be sure there was no change to the ohms before and after, and they didn't change. The ones I've filled work perfectly, just like my older CoolCarts!
