I just remove the 3ml bottle top -fill the bottle from whatever juice bottle I'm currently using - stick the needle top back on the 3ml bottle and put back in the OG.
As far as the leak, it's hard to be specific. Perhaps ur squeezing more than needed and it's running back down. Make sure the 3ml bottle top is on properly. I've had mine for about 4 months and don't have the newer style drip cup. Sometimes when I use cartomizers, I've seen juice leaking from my carto, which just means I filled the carto too full.

NJSkip-I have leakage also from the catch cup down the needle. I get a good fix by cutting a piece of gel pencil grips into pieces just small enough to fit in the area then poke the needle through the middle of it. It seems to be just the right thickness to create a gasket like effect. Needs to be replaced each time I refill the bottle but only takes a minute. I also put a little tissue behind the bottle at the neck connection to catch any stray drip. Never get a drip if I change out the "gasket" each time I refill though. Well worth the extra time as this mod was THE ticket to helping me quit a 37 year habit. Now I can claim to be cig free finally. A little ahead of my plan even! I promised myself if I hadn't done it by my 1 year vape anniversary, I would do it that day come what may. This mod made it easier for me by simplifying it all while giving me the best vape I've had in all this time. Good luck with your leak and I hope the comments about my method helps you find a solution that works for you.

Thanks for that sheryder. I forgot you had mentioned that earlier.
Glad it is working for you...and congratulations on being free finally of cigarettes. I understand that feeling. After 40+ years, I was able to stop on vape day 2. I'm coming up on 5 months and I can still hardly believe how easy it has been.
I never really knew what decent vaping was all about until I got my OldGoat 3.7v bottom feeder.:vapor:

Someone else (back 2 or 3 pages here) uses a thin tube. I tried it and it works-even saw the ejuice building up in the tube. I tried that first but lost the tube when I changed bottles. I haven't heard of anything more permanent. Old Goat said he uses an o-ring of the right size (didn't say what the size is) on the few occasions he's had a leak. Read back a couple of pages or so and you will find those posts. Good luck and I hear ya - less "futzing" the better. That is the main reason I've gone to bottom feeder after almost a year of carts, cartos, straw mods, foam mods, dripping, fluzomizers etc. This method is so EASY!! And requires less stuff to take with you when you leave home.

Rosco, I typed a nice wordy post thanking Old Goat for an affordable bottom feeder mod and you for your congrats but when I hit backspace to delete an extra letter it all disappeared. Gr-r-r. Suffice it to say, after so many quits in the past I've finally found something that meets MY needs and is the tool I will use to finally be able to kick the habit for the rest of my healthier, prolonged life. It doesn't hurt that I don't stink anymore either but that is a side benefit. This mod really does make it easier than anything I've ever tried - which is everything except hypnosis!

Hypnosis only took cash out of my pocket and put it in that guys pocket . You sound just like me. Well - my 40+ year habit is almost 5 months gone and it's great. I don't stink anymore, I don't cough anymore, and feel so much better. My OldGoat is hanging around my neck most times.

 Congratulations to ALL of US.

Hey Sheryder-- if that happens to you again, just hit Ctrl-z (undo) and usually it's back.

I really want to try one of these, especially since the price is affordable. Hopefully in the next couple months I'll have some extra cash to get a 5v bottom feeder version.
Believe me and alot of other folks you won't be sorry! Ron makes fantastic mods!

I wonder what size tube and where it was found...

For others searching... I stripped some wire. I kept the jacket, and cut it so it was a teeny-tiny collar. Ideally, just a hair longer than the length between the top of the bottle and the atty connector. Slide that over the needle prior to reinserting the bottle. It's stopped all leaks. I have no idea if the jacket is being heated much, but it hasn't melted on or anything like that yet.

I can't tell you what gauge wire it is, but I can tell you that I clipped it from a SATA to IDE power connector that I had lying around on my desk. If I had to guess... 22AWG?
