Yeah that would be awesome... even just having some way to heat up a small piece of porous ceramic without coils... it would be the wick and heat source.. then just take it out and torch it to clean it! Or maybe even somehow vaporize the liquid with lasers (no really!)

One of these days we will look back and laugh at how we used little pieces of wire wrapped around wicks and how primitive it seems!

A laser heating element or something like that, or a mini heating element, as a mini iron in which liquid only touches the flat ss surface and gets evaporated by the heat. Under the hood, there could reside a replacable resistance coil, made with the usual Kanthal or nichrome wire.

As CaptSteve said: "Easier said than done"

vill, Ithaka is the smallest atomizer ever made so no one dislikes its length, especially on its small configuration. As the look of it, its the same as Ody except the air control, so no issues to my opinion with its look. Also Ithaka has more functions that a customer ever imagine.
But Ithaka is fat as the most atomizers out there, so making a thin one is what we need if you agree
the ithaka was a bad example. I was just trying to say that if theirs anything that people dont like about your product, you seem to make something for it so that it still appeals to them. Im saying, anything that you decide to do, you will have all the support with your current customers and new ones that will come and enjoy your products.

As far as making something thin, I agree, the penelope is a must. Ill for sure be getting one when it comes out. Ive been holding off on getting the older penelope just because I want to see what youll come up with.

Imeo my opinion is to make the new atomizer with laser technology,
like the experiment you made on the marmor table.

Noone can destroy the thread better than me Vasillis

So... I think the idea for a simplier atomizer is exellent.
Less pieces, absence of non wires etc. (I have friends who can not make a right connection between R and NON, even if they tried hard.)
We should think a little the remaining 90% of vaping society that doesn't use rebuildable atomizers (for many reasons)
Even if his efficiency does not reach an Ody or an Ithaka, They would be pleased.

If you want to satisfy every vaper out there, you have to do that Boss :)

EDIT: Of course the new GG must be first :D

I have been thinking of a small connector which runs down the channels of Ithaka that the resistance wire clips to. To get rid of the non resistance wire allowing me to use my existing Ithaka or ody as is. Wife two kids and a job so it will be some time before I am done but if I do finnish ill be in heaven. What are your thoughts
Thanks a lot Skiba:)

As for the atomizer that you describe, I know how to make it but my electronic engineer is slow. Anyway, I am a little dissapointed right now because nothing left to invent:(

All atomizers that I see in the market are very simple with no adjustments, just wire around wick. So maybe the best solution is a very good looking but inexpensive GG atomizer?

I've just been sold on the Ody V3

keep in mind that if Ody comes on the first 2 items then it will be made a little different

1. adjustable draw (not like Ithaka)

2. 510 base and GGTS base together (almost like Ithaka but not the same)

3. Caps like Ithaka for more liquid

4. ceramic housing will be like Ithaka (connecting wires)

Of course, all new pieces will be fully compatible with old items

I have had a few ideas on this subject, but haven't had the time or resources to explore it further than a concept. Maybe if I get a free minute I will rummage around in the garage and see what I can come up with. :)
