use no ox. noalox is for aluminum.

On that thread, they recommend Permatex Dielectric Grease and possibly Permatex tune-up grease. First priority should be a having a used toothbrush on hand and making sure everything is and stays really clean. Or so I understand.

I have had to use a combination of olive oil, the freezer and EJUiCE to release my locking ring which had seized up. It wasn't over tightening so I think they just need bit of help.
