Hehehe I get ya Max. I just did not want to come off harsh it was all tongue in cheek. In fact i do plan on a provari down the road. I look at it like this and keep in mind this is purely my personal take on it. I plan on having a number of mods down the road. My wife has already made comments to the point. I am a collector you see (dvds, bluray, ps3, xbox, etc) that addiction is as bad as analogs ever got lol
But my view was just getting into vaping i wanted to find a "good enough" point then go from there. I could get two or three mods for the price of a provari. Right now all i have is a eGo which with a LR atty managed to get me off analogs for good. "Good Enough" there ya go right outta the gate i am happy. I wanted the Lavatube (and now waiting on mr mailman to bring to me) to play with VV. After playing around with it i may, just may decide that i am happy at 3.7. A lot of people are happy with 3.7. I have become a regular on Exilir TV (
Elixir Liquid & TV - www.Elixirliquid.com and we were talking about VV last night.
It was stated when we were analog smokers there was no such thing as VV. you lite up and puffed away. While i will never again go back to analogs i did enjoy that ease of use. Some people like that in the PV world. You pick up your PV and vape, easy right. Now one thing i can tell you with out a doubt i am not a tech savoy kinda guy. You turn it on, it works, i dont know i dont care the hows and why just that it works. When i first came here i almost turned tail and ran. Not because i was not interested in vaping but everyone was talking ohms and watts and volts OH MY!
So outta my league. So a 3.7 device could be the way i go. A provari (read as any high ticket VV mod) are great IF you know what you want, i dont. With the Lavatube i can jump in, get my feet wet and go from there. If i enjoy VV yes a provari will be in the future, as will a number of other super lux mods. But ya gotta start somewhere right. I mean i could show you a list of mods i was looking at, its a nice hefty list. I started weeding it down as i learned more about some of them. I also tend to go for stuff that appeals to my eye. I still want a helix because of the battery. vaping for a week without a recharge is awesome. I am a long time SCAer and do lots of camping. Being able to take a mod i did not need to worry about batteries for me is important in that case.
If your looking for durability then you need a purely mechanical mod like the prodigy 3.1 from puresmoker.com No wires to worry about so with a little cleaning it should last a lifetime. Thats on my list as well.
Right now i have 3 eGo batteries and when it arrives the Lavatube. Next i am looking at the Chuck. and maybe a nightstick. the nightstick holds 2 18659s now thats power lol. In the end i understand product loyalty i do but lets face it folks a mod is nothing more nothing less that a battery case. The real importance is the carto/atty you use and the juice you buy. Steeljan made this super crap mod out of a plastic tube. Dont misread that peeps i am not saying that steeljan did a bad job, i am saying she built a mod out of basically junk laying around the house (stelljan is amazing). it just goes to show you that if you know those tech things you can mod with anything. I have also seen people buying those project boxes from radioshack and making mods, they in turn sell for $130! what is that i ask. If you look hard enoug you can find anything at any price you want.
WOW i got a big mouth...er fingers, so i will shut up now and say this in closing. Friends it does not matter what you vape on, if your happy and it gets you where your going. Enjoy it live life and be thankful you are done with the analogs
