DAMN YOU!
That video compairson was so good, I just ordered a Silver LT! Moving up from my handy dandy Ego...and my first vv.

Thanks (I think)! :vapor:

EDIT:
BTW - I found a 10% discount code for Volcano at THIS SITE.

I was going to buy an extra battery, but Volcano is currently "out of stock". Any suggestions where I can get at least one more 18650 flat top batt??

Yea, I ordered my Silver LavaTube as well. I really like my black one, but the silver one was way too hard to resist. It look's fantastic! :)

As far as the Battery thing goes. I just ordered some AW IMR 18650's from Provape. They're on their way. Volcano is doing what that can to correct the battery problem that they didn't intend to have...so...no worries from me. I personally have never had a problem with Volcano. They have always done right by me.

Xhev...

get a dual coil tank for it, either a DCT MAP tank or a dig daddy or little momma tank. The poly carbonate on the DCT MAP tanks can crack the polycarbonate tubing when filling them with certain unfriendly juices though, so I would recommend going to big daddy vapor and buying either the stainless steel tube or the pyrex glass tube (which eliminates the odds of destroying your beautiful investment. Tanks look and perform awesome on just about any tube mod and make vaping life sooooo much easier ad enjoyable. Good luck with that new mod and keep on vaping!!!

Alright. I've had it for a full day. First off I want to say I contacted Volcano, and they will be replacing my batteries with AW's, and they will be paying for shipping. They said they dont have a timeframe, but I am on the call list when it happens. I ordered two AW's so I'll have batteries when it comes time to send back the fakes. I like the mod. Connector came slightly crooked, and the top piece had some nicks in it, but overall I wasnt too bummed. Now this thing does not regulate voltage well at all. There is a HUGE difference between 3.8 with a almost dead battery and a new one. But I just adjust for it. It isnt perfect, but it works well enough, that I feel I got my moneys worth. Once the kick comes out my Megaladon will be my go to VV, but for now this works fine.

Got a couple Lava Tubes (1 for me and my wife (stocking stuffer)). I have been watching all the comments real close.

I also watched of few of the 'PRO' reviewers kind of rip'em apart.. I am REALLY glad I didn't pay any mind to the reviewers.. Hmmmmm one even sells his own VV mod.. I'm sure we all know 'who' I'm referring to. They seem to get really focused on the fact that the LT gates down the voltage to current limit itself. My satisfaction of what it does is MY truth meter.. and all that matters to me.

My question to those who have a LT and those thinking about it? Were you wanting a science experiment? or a great PV? I'm definitely a techy but, I also keep it in check. Somethings I just want to do what its supposed to and not be a problem, at good value if possible. When I want a science experiment or to chase electrons, I jump on the air at 1000watts on my ham rig. But, there is a time and place for everything.

Long and short of it, this LT works absolutely awesome. Best $70 bucks I've spent on vaping so far.

I can make a few VV and 5v mod comparisons as well... Yup, I have a provari and 5v mod boxes.. side by side, using the exact same DC Tanks in the 2+ohm range, I cannot detect a real difference. I really don't give a flying crap what the voltage is into the cart... unless, the performance is suffering. It does what its supposed to do... and using DC's doesn't seem to be a problem at all. I stuffed an AW 18650 2600 hi drain in them and all is happy. Great Vape with all our favorite juices and using the exact same carts and tanks.

Only real issue, is the incorrect battery clearance in the cap. So, I removed the Nylon washer from my Provari with the extended 18650 cap, and guess what, perfect fit! And it looks great as well. So, I've ordered a few spare Provari washers ($1ea, yea, I know, not worth a buck but, they need to make a profit too...). So, if you're not into seeking a source for O rings in your neighborhood, just go to Provape and get a few washers/spacers and maybe a spare battery cap spring as well and you'll be set and it won't look like a 'cobble job'. Here you go, you can tell everyone at the vaping cafe' it's a Provari! :)

Bottom line, I've learned what I think I already knew about these self anointed PRO reviewers.. especially anyone reviewing a competitors equipment.. Just use common sense and good judgement of what you hear and see on this gigantic vacuum of information, called the internet. Everyone is an expert now... Yes, I like the internet and find it a valuable resource. But don't throw caution to the wind... Seems a lot of the reviewers have an agenda as well.

If I'm sounding like a Pro-Reviewer, please feel free to disregard everything I've stated.. No Charge :)

For those that have a Lavatube, enjoy! Thats all that matters. Those that want to get out their voltmeter, have fun too! While you're chasing electrons, I'm enjoying a great vape!

FYI - I've decided I'm an expert or PRO. I receive great compensation/favors from my wife for keeping her vaping experience up to par.... ha ha ha ha

Regards to all

lol Seattle40,

Never been to hawaii, so I'm not positive I know what hawaii time is. But, I was stationed on okinawa when I was in the air farce years ago, so know how the time differences go. I was 15 hours ahead of home back then, if I remember right. Made phone calls home kinda tough, especially when I was working an off shift. And, I did get a kick reading the times on that tracking you posted :p

Hope you love your lt when it arrives. I know I do :)

Some lavatube thoughts.

Ok i have had my lt for a little while ow and have learned much, let me share that with you.

First off do i like it, oh yes i love the lt no doubt. Thats being said i can tell you that i am already looking for another mod. I am a collector so i can for see having more than one mod anyway. One of the reasons i am already looking for a second mod is voltage. VV is ice but i still find myself at the 3.7 range most of the time.

I have vape mail coming in today which will have some HV cartos, so that might change my viewpoint. right now the only HR i have is the atty that came with the lt and i hate dripping so ot really rocking that. WHat i am using is a 1.7ohm LR carto punched in volcano's tube tank. Maybe with a HR carto that will change but right now i am happy.

One thing i have noticed on the lt is i am getting a tighter draw. Yes it is the lt doing it not a bad carto. I know because same tank tossed on a ego battery and the draw loosens up. battery is fine i checked it and its good. I have realized that its time for me to cut back the nic some. Normally i vape at 30 to 24 nic i need that throat and i dont get that with lower nic. However with the lt i can feel the throat a lot more than i did on a ego. So maybe i will try and back it dow some.

I still love the size and feel of the lt really sleek. The little logo rubbed right off but i kinda like that better lol My finish has no dings or spots and the 510 is straight as a arrow so thats all good. As far as the battery thing goes, eh does not really bother me. Volcano did right by coming forward early on and that honesty to me anyway was enough to calm any anger lol

I will shop with them again, besides the lt i am also very impressed with their tube tanks. i love this thing, even though its just the small one. I get no leaks at all its clean and sharp looking. All in all i am impressed with the lt and very happy with it. Like i said though i dont think its a more complex mod than i really need. i seem to be happy at 3.7 with a lr carto.

Once i get my new cartos in today i will try out some higher voltage and see about that. cant do the atty thing just dont like the fuss of dripping. Lets be totally honest here, at the end of the day a mod is really just a battery case. The real work is done through your carto and juice choices.

A lot of you (and i mean US) have some really crappy juice. With all the vendors out there and each making there own house brand nasty juice is bound to happen. It has been said that taste is subjective, while i do believe that, catbox squeezings are still that! There are just just some juices that are better left alone. On the taste subjectiveness thing well i have bought some much touted popular (and $$) juices and they are nasty. One brand i bought tasted so flowery i had to boil the atty afterwards to get the taste out. Said juice was so strong that i put some clove in the atty to mask the taste. even clove could not cover it. Anyone that vapes clove will tell you how powerful it is.

So with all that said and done i love the lt but its not the end all be all of mods. Oh one small little gripe about the lt and it does not really affect me. Many people talk about how nice the lt is for a newbie, yes yes it will cut back your voltage to keep you from blowing an carto so thats great but lets keep in mind not everyone is on the ecf or other forum, not everyone is tech savey etc etc.

So my gripe is why does the lt not come with a manual? I have the ecf and loads of vaping friends. But if i was a uber super newbie and stumbled across the website. i say hey i wanna quit smoking and buy the lt.......no manual so how many button presses do this how long of a press to do that. You understand what i mean?

Hi Jerry,
Good review!

As for the instruction manual, I got my LT yesterday, and they included a card with the following:
  • In order to do our part to conserve paper and become a more "green" company, we are no longer printing instructional manuals. However, we do still have printable instructions and how-to videos which can be viewed via our website at:

How-to’s for the best eCig on the market!

I honestly have not viewed the instruction link, but I've seen enough videos about the LT that I seem to know my way around the buttons ATM. After Christmas, I'll probably give it a good read and see if there's more to learn.

Merry Christmas. :)
