Hi, Debb! And welcome.
It is confusing at first, but you are definitely doing the wise thing to read, and learn about your options first. And there are as many different opinions and preferences as there are forum members.
A good place to get a lot of cohesive and concise information is the ECF Library, especially the six part series by DonDaBoomVape.

Check that out here:

Hey Debb,

TH is really related to the nic content and in some cases the strength or flavor of the juice. I started with 24mg and I was a pack a day smoker. That level works great for me for two reasons. I get the hit of nic I crave and I do it without having to vape for a long time. Usually 4 or 5 hits on my eGo and I'm set for hour or so.

The other thing that relates to TH is the flavor. Pick a mint or menthol based flavor and the TH will be stronger. Some fruit flavors have a good TH, but some don't. Strawberry did nothing for me for TH, but Blueberry did have a nice kick. So like everyone else suggested, order a few different flavors and find something you like. Then you can go back an order a larger ml and continue to order smaller samples of flavors to keep researching taste.

Also, keep in mind that your taste buds have been dulled by smoking and what you thought tasted nasty the first time, might taste better in a couple of weeks.

Oh, and you can drip all the time, but I would suggest buying some extra attys. Plus dripping is hard to do when your driving, so maybe try some cartomizers as well.

;)Thanks so much... Blueberry is on my list...24mg is prob. what I will start out with....just don't want a menthol that taste like a brand I can't mention...lol....getting close to a decision....:)

It is tricky to give real good advice as what works for one doesn't always work for another.
I started with a 901 mini and it worked for me for the first couple of months, but then got fed up with the poor battery life. so switched to a screwdriver, but the 901 atty didnt seen to perform as well (for me) on the screwdriver so i switched to a 510 LR atty on the screwdriver and i love it, or i should say i love it now who knows how i'll feel in a few months.

The secret is not to give up!

i would say dont buy big kits to start with, because if you dont like it your stuck, but if you do like it you can always buy the bigger kits later on.

but the best bit of advice i will give is, don't go for carts, in my time using them i found they did nothing but leek kept getting juice in my mouth, was constantly topping them up etc etc Just more hassle than their worth! get a drip tip, 4 drops, vape away enjoy.

Best of luck!

If youre considering an eGo (which you should), you should also take a good look at the Riva. Both are great cause the batteries last all day on them. Though there are several US vendors you can order the Riva from, I ordered mine from Eastmall for $40 plus $15 shipping from China. I love only having to swap batteries once a day!

Ok..need some help from the Guru's...I prob. can't mention analog brands...but I am trying to get the best match....plus I am ordering juice..
also...do I have to keep ordering carts...or can I use the drip method all the time..? ..And...Importantly ..need one with a good if not great throat hit.... :)
Don't spend too much time trying to pick the right juice at this point.
That is pretty much impossible.

You are going to wind up trying lots of different juices from lots of different places.
That is pretty much a given.

is that Trueman -Riva?..or just a Riva? Nevermind..found it ..Trueman was a site? Not sure of a good site...is there a thread on that?

I read about the vendors charging more then they should on customer cc...
but I think it was about a vendor on tv...because I have to use my card... and what should I include in the starter kit? Also is the Riva manual battery?
